We ordered sandwiches through door dash. It was quick preparation and delivery was smooth. I had the godmother (I think!) but my friend got the veggie sandwich. Both were delicious. I loved that they put a tiny cookie inside the wrapper. Nice touch! Will be eating here again. I got the full side sandwich and it was enough for myself and my husband at a fair price. Sorry Jimmy John, I believe rubicon has you beat!
The sammiches are huge. The flavor was good. Bread was soft. Service was quick and convenient. The ambiance was nice. A lot of seating. Inside and outside. It was a nice day out. Will be back.
I met up with a dear friend for lunch at Rubicon Deli, and it turned out to be such a great spot to catch up. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming--perfect for sitting down and enjoying conversation without feeling rushed. The sandwiches are huge, fresh, and packed with flavor (the bread alone is worth mentioning--it's soft, hearty, and delicious). I would say there is so much bread that it does dominate the rest of the sandwich . Maybe add a bit more on inside of the sandwic. I did enjoy the creative combinations on the menu; it felt like there was something for everyone. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept Overall, Rubicon Deli is a wonderful place to share a meal with someone special--good food, good service, and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer.
I chose Rubicon Deli for a catering event at work and everyone loved it! I guess they are new to doing catering but it seemed to go smoothly and all the sandwiches were a hit. I love their sandwich box that has a "sandwich key" showing a photo and description of each included sandwich type, plus each sandwich had a label of which one is corresponded to on the key. So organized! The sandwiches themselves are massive, filled to the brim with fresh ingredients. We got 6 different sandwich types, so there was definitely something for everyone. All the people in attendance were impressed by both the size and quantity! I got the spicy tuna and it was a unique take on a traditional tuna salad sandwich with a nice kick. We also got a salad, chips, and some cookies to enjoy as sides. Based off this experience, I would definitely go check them out at their physical building location in the future!
Hands down my favorite sandwich spot in Reno. When I think of a sandwich this is exactly what I want. Bread is soft and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. They have a variety of traditional and unique choices. My favorite is the Rubicon special but I opted for the Spicy Tuna this time and was just as yummy! Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Grabbed lunch at Rubicon Deli and tried their Stallion sandwich which was great. The sandwich was moist with fresh ingredients, solid taste, and great portion size. I've honestly never had a bad experience at Rubicon, one of the best and most consistent sandwich shops in Reno.
Great good great service. Love how fresh the sandwiches are and how quick they are too! The best part is they have the good sodas with cane sugar! Super yum. Oh and u get. Little cookie too!! I can't wait to go back! Oh and angel is the best!!!
One of my favorite sandwich spots in Reno! You can always count on Rubicon for a quality sandwich with fresh ingredients. I'm always a sucker for a good Italian sandwich and the Grandmother does not disappoint. The half is usually sufficient for a meal but having the whole sandwich is an extra treat. I always appreciate the extra chocolate chip cookie that comes with each sandwich, nice bonus. Rubicon has a nice inside dining area as well as a nice patio space for outdoor dining. I've always found the service to be friendly and quick. Will be back again for my next sandwich craving!
Add this place to your list for great lunch spots! I've heard their name multiple times, but had never been before. This place is tucked behind the lo-bar off California. Walked into a small location and quickly greeted by the friendly staff. Their menu has good options-- I went with the Rich Boy. Be warned, these sandwiches are huge! I should have ordered the half portion. The bread was sssoo good and chipotle chicken and garlic mayo--- aaamazing. Everything was fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for your next lunch. The dining area is small but if the weather js warm, theres extra room on the patio! Oh! And love the cookie for dessert... I already want more!

Check out their daily sides and soups menu as well. Their sandwiches are a good size, a full sando can almost be shared or can be two meals. I tried the blue cheese bread and although it's not the most appetizing looking, it's really delicious! The blue cheese was not overpowering in taste, it was perfect. The bread was paired nicely with the Crandie, so many flavors in this sandwich, it was so good! Something about the balsamic mayo and cranberry mustard together on a sandwich, amazing! All sandwich's come with a mini chocolate chip cookie (not GF). The shop is located behind a two-story bar on California Ave. If you're not familiar with the area, you may miss it. But they do have a sign out front. Only street parking available. They offer indoor/outdoor seating, not big seating spaces, but it's available. Overall, always a solid sandwich spot in the area!
Great deli! 5 different options of bread to chose from from Dutch crunch, jalapeño cheddar, cheddar, etc. all tasted freshly baked. I got the Japanese cheddar with turkey, pesto mayo, roasted bell peppers, lettuce and Gouda cheese! It was delicious!! Highly recommend this deli! All sandwiches come with a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie too!! Yummy!!

I love a good sandwich for lunch, and this one definitely hit the spot! I ordered the Crandie on pesto bread, which had a great combination of flavors from the cranberry sauce to the balsamic drizzle that all seemed to work well together. I ordered a half size and was pleasantly surprised by the large portion size. There was a good amount of meat included on the sandwich as well. My husband got the Rich Boy sandwich on the jalapeno bread and loved it. The included cookie is a nice touch! The location is pretty easy to find, although not easy to park. My husband dropped me off to run inside as there weren't any available parking spots nearby. It also took me a sec to realize the storefront is in the back of the building from California Street. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. We did online ordering which was a very smooth process. The app allows you to customize pretty much anything that you would like to on the sandwich which was great. It was very user friendly. The order was ready to go by the estimated time. The price is high - two sandwiches (1 whole and 1 half) were over $30. No chips or drink added. read more
I kept seeing ads for this place and I had to give it a try! The stallion did not disappoint! I ordered one with the pesto bread and one with garlic cheese bread. I think the pesto bread stole the show for sure! Fresh ingredients and they are very generous when building the sandwich, a half is PLENTY! read more
I had a "cravn 4 Bacon" and still do. There was no bacon on my cravn 4 bacon sandwich. It's in the name, how can you forget the bacon? There was a mini cookie stuck in my sandwich wrap. If that was a substitute for the bacon, that's not ok! read more

The biggest yummiest sandwiches in Reno? Yes! This place rocks. The sandwiches are piled up with quality ingredients, served on their house made bread. Served with a mini chocolate chip cookie. Service is excellent, and the place looks nice clean and appetizing menu. read more
Another gluten free win! Sorry I've been talking so much about that in my most recent reviews but I've finally found what has been making me feel so sick all the time! My sandwich was really good, but there was a bit of cross contamination I'm guessing from cutting another sandwich then cutting mine so that was a bit disappointing as it was some type of sauce a bit of a spice which kinda tainted it but I could tell my sandwich was really good if I ignored that. I liked the bread a lot and am super pleased they offer GF. I got mine toasted and the only other suggestion is spreading the meat out evenly instead of a bunch in the middle and not as much on the sides! Parking can be strange on the street but worth a little walk. Great lunch spot, they were very busy at noon with call ins as well as in person orders. I'll be back! read more

I paid for extra sauce and sauce on the side for the Dom Pastrami. There was non on the sandwich at all and no additional sauce included. If I'm paying $21.00 for a sandwich, please learn to follow instructions. read more

I met a friend for lunch here the other day. Neither of us had been here before. It was a hot day but they have tables outside with umbrellas which shaded us from the sun so it was pleasant. It can be easy to miss, as it was for my friend, because it is located on the side of the building that houses Lo-Bar Social. And there is no parking so she had to circle the block a few times while I was lucky to get street parking out front. We both ended up ordering "whole" sandwiches knowing we could bring home leftovers. Incidentally, they have a wrapping station inside for customers complete with paper and tape so many people end up taking part of their sandwiches home. It's easy to see why when you get one here -- they are HUGE! I ended up having the delicious Spicy Tuna, which comes with pepper jack cheese, avocado, tomato, onions, pickles, pepperoncini, lettuce, mayo, and the spicy kick of habanero mustard. I loved it! My friend had the Rubicon Special. Staff were nice. I hope to bring my husband here sometime soon. read more

Rubicon was good. I got the Rubicon specialty sandwich with chips and a drink. Their soda choices are very unique, I'm assuming they are local brands. Fun sounding flavors, they were alright. The sandwich was good if basic. The best part was the pesto and the free chocolate chip cookie! California Ave is home to Reno's sandwich culture, so it fits in well. read more

All I can say is YUM!!!!!! The Rubicon deli shared a building with Low Bar Society. It is located on California street. There is a small indoor seating area and a small outdoor area. This is a great place to drop in for a casual lunch or order to go and take with you. I was impressed by the quality and taste of everything I had. It was a windy and chilly day so a cup of warm broccoli cheddar was the perfect cure! The cowboy salad was served with dressing on the side and the chicken was Chipotle chicken was incredible! This was all served with a complimentary chocolate chip cookie. It was the perfect treat! My husband ordered the Dapper Dipper, a French dip. He was able to choose his bread before hand, and went with Dutch crunch. This sandwich was huge and could easily be shared with 2 people. It came sliced in four pieces, au jus on the side, and a chocolate shop cookie. A delicious meal and I am excited to come back and try more. read more
My husband picked up rubicon deli for lunch. We live about 25 minutes away so I was a little nervous about the sandwich getting soggy but it did not! The portion is HUGE on the whole sandwich so I think the price is very reasonable for how much sandwich you get. I got the rich boy with peppercinis and did not get it toasted. Best chipotle chicken sandwich I've had! Just the right amount of chipotle. I really enjoyed it. The bread was thick but soft which was perfect. My husband got a the god mother and also enjoyed it.
