I have always loved Tahoe Natural Cafe for breakfast--their Egg Melt on a bagel is absolutely delicious! It's fresh, flavorful, and honestly beautiful to look at. Our whole family loves the Egg Melts, and they have been our go-to for a long time. Today I finally had a chance to try something from their lunch menu, and I ordered the Tahoe Turkey sandwich. SO GOOD! It's loaded with fresh vegetables--red cabbage, sprouts, carrots, peppers--and everything together is incredibly fresh, crunchy, flavorful, and satisfying. It feels nutritious without sacrificing taste at all. I can definitely understand why it's one of their popular sandwiches. I highly recommend it, and now I'm already curious about what sandwich I should try next! During the winter season, they also offer a half-sandwich and soup option, which is such a great combination for a cold Tahoe day. Beyond the food, I just love the atmosphere here. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, there are big screens showing beautiful Tahoe scenery, music playing, and even a little area where younger kids can play. Service is always: fast , welcoming, happy vibes. It really is the perfect neighborhood cafe. I'm so glad Tahoe Natural Cafe opened here a couple of years ago because our family genuinely loves having it in the neighborhood. Great food, fresh ingredients, and such a comfortable atmosphere.
We recently moved within walking distance of Tahoe Natural Cafe and it has been such a treat! I love their Funky Monkey smoothie & their open-faced Quesadilla! I will definitely be back!
Went in afternoon on a windy weekend Ordered 4 sandwiches nachos gooey ooey Nachos for kids two pb&js hot coca and hot coffee and macros brownie All in with tip total = $82. Fresh ingredients great place for small children. Plenty of area to play for 4-5 no more than 6 since the toys are in a large corner. Definite competitor to Cheese board. Can't wait to return for breakfast !!
After my last review there were never green onions put on the nachos again so I'm guessing that was a mistake, and we are quite regular patrons here. They have gluten free bread and one of my favorite quick snack and:or breakfasts is the peanut butter banana and honey on that toast. Feels healthy and is filling. I will probably try the avocado toast again at some point but only when it's avocado season. Love the adult and kids nachos. Add turkey! Adult size is great to share. Open and bright restaurant and lovely outdoor seating for the right weather. Good luck in the high desert spring time. Everyone working is always pleasant and friendly. I love that they employ younger people too. Such a convenient location for us in South Reno. We are lucky to have you!
On the way back from a quick stop at the Virginia City Highlands, decided to try this well-rated cafe, and I'm so glad we did! Surprisingly located within a convenience stop (gas station, market, car wash), it was a spacious, well-lit location filled with visual references to nature and Tahoe. Parking was easy and there was plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, giving a slightly upscale cafeteria vibe. My only note is that the tables could have been tidied more frequently. Only saw someone go around to do this when we were done eating. The food seemed to be an interesting blend of Mexican-inspired, mostly healthy breakfast and lunch options. Lots of tea, coffee, and fresh squeezed juice options to pair with. I opted for the "green juice" minus celery. Pretty much everything (including my egg melt) came with top-notch, unique tortilla chips (crispy, whole grain?). I can only imagine that their house specialty nachos would be amazing. The egg melt came open face on a bagel...perfect thickness, moist but not chewy, topped with very fluffy eggs, ripe avocado and a rich melted jack cheese, with perfect (slightly nacho-esque) seasoning. (Much better than what some bagel-focused chains offer.) I will definitely come back for this!
This cafe was surprisingly good! Service was very friendly and helpful, and they were able to accommodate for celiac disease. The food was fresh and so good. It's next to a gas station but it was shockingly nice and clean inside. I definitely recommend!
This place was so cute. The checker was so sweet and informative cuz I had never been there before. Sat outside on a sunny day. The food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend, will go again.
Tahoe Natural Cafe has become a great stopping off point on my walking tour. It's a great place to grab a cappuccino which is what I did recently. Met a friend for coffee and enjoyed the wide open concept of this cafe. They have outdoor seating but don't expect a lot of ambiance with that. Still it's a great place to have a cup of coffee as you gaze out at the parking lot and veterans parkway. I haven't been too drawn to order food but need to try something on their "specials" menu. The staff was very pleasant and had no problem pouring my cappuccino into a porcelain cup. I don't usually order coffee out so was worried... Beautiful place. Next time I'll order food!
Nice, bright, clean, airy cafe with ample seating and friendly staff. Cute outdoorsy and Easter decorations line the walls, along with colorful art and a cool giant six-panel video screen displaying colorful Tahoe scenery. Food is a little on the pricey side (as with most things these days), but it's fresh and creative. Lots of disparate and fun-looking options on the menu, like a curry bowl and burritos and avocado toast and interesting-sounding salads and sandwiches. We found the bread to be very very good--I got the avocado toast and my wife got an open-faced breakfast sandwich on a bagel. The bagel was surprisingly easy to bite through with all the toppings, and nicely fresh and delicious. I liked that they didn't go overboard on the toppings for the sandwich or the avocado toast. The avocado toast had a nacho-tasting seasoning on it that was good for a few bites but a bit too much after that. However, it came with a wedge of lemon, which, when squeezed overtop, added a nice citrusy brightness. They make their own juice mixes, too, which is a plus, but when it came to the coffee options, they seemed a bit limited or basic. The dirty chai I got was too muted by the milk. Very minor complaints, though--all in all a nice brunch experience for us.
A very unique restaurant with a healthy menu full of veggie loaded sandwiches, fruit smoothies, and healthier Mexican food. I was surprised that this is located in connection to a gas station, car wash, and convenience store. The Tahoe Turkey was a great sandwich! I enjoyed the hatch chile and it was not spicy at all! However, it appears that everything comes with a side of tortilla chips as the default side. While I understand it is a very cost efficient side, it felt a little off for a deli turkey, cheese and veggie sandwich.
Great pitstop for my kid. It's a perfect place for her to play with other kids in a smaller setting. My smoothie tasted great and I'm a fan of this place. Today, my green machine smoothie had a whole half a banana in it so they need to blend it a little longer. Other than that, lovely visit.
This place was super cute and very gluten free friendly. At first I was hesitant because it was located next to a gas station but, as soon as you walked in, you would be impressed with the design and view of the mountains. They offered a lot of healthy options from food to juice. The staff were friendly and they had a lot of seating available inside. It's also very family friendly because they have a small kid section in the corner. Great spot for lunch! Definitely recommend!
After a walk around the marsh area, we saw the sign for this place on a new (I think) complex, so we decided to give it a try. We both wanted a salad. Their cob salad is really good size, great protein portion -- really enjoyed it. The place is clean, comfortable, bright, noise level is low. The staff is friendly. Perfect breakfast/lunch place. Was not crowded around 12:30 pm on a weekday. Really enjoyed the visit!
Today we only stopped into Tahoe Natural Cafe for a refreshing treat on a warm day, but I'll definitely be back for a full meal. Their menu has so much to offer, and the interior alone had me wanting to sit and stay awhile. I loved how they brought Tahoe into the decor and little details throughout the space. Tons of natural light, a beautiful upscale feel, but still really welcoming. I also loved the kids' play corner. I can totally picture coming here for brunch with friends and actually being able to enjoy some time while the kids have something to do. I got the seasonal pumpkin matcha, my husband had the strawberry smoothie, and we couldn't resist getting a Tahoe Pop for our daughter, a local handcrafted organic popsicle made with alpine water. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu! read more

As someone who is not a breakfast girly, I've been really trying to expand my palate & stopping at Tahoe natural café was a step in the right direction. I was looking for something filling yet quick that I could eat on the go so I grabbed the breakfast bowl with turkey sausage and it did not disappoint. I personally like that they through in some black beans, the protein intake for this meal is great while also not lacking in flavor. Staff was very friendly and I love that it is a kid friendly ambiance. Definitely worth checking out! read more

This place has more of a California vibe than a Reno vibe but that's increasingly more common in South Reno. Really large menu of fresh pressed juice blends, smoothies, breakfast food, sandwiches, etc. Very bright open air feeling with ample outdoor seating with pleasant mountain views. Everything was great from the juices to the breakfast sandwiches and service was reasonably fast. Prices are a bit high for Reno in general but not for this neighborhood and given the quality. read more

The inside is very clean, nice, and open. It's a great place to actually work from if you can do some things remote. I enjoy the outdoor seating as well when it is nice out but there is traffic noise. Staff have always been friendly. I like their open face bagel breakfast sandwich thing (don't remember the name). In general, food is fresh with a healthier twist. I usually get a chai tea with oat milk. It's okay, not really special, I think more their juices or smoothies would be the way to go for a more special, unique drink experience. read more

First! I ate here when they first opened a few years back---LOADED NACHOS and two beers---$14; nachos were made on the spot with refried beans/beef/ cheese...yum! More recently I have breakfast there post-run (on the wetlands path just South of their location) The Breakfast sandwich is my favorite with fluffy-egg goodness; sliced tomato; turkey sausage, cheese aaaand avocado slices. Great little spot if you're gonna go ahead and get gas, you can swing around to the other side and get yourself some healthy eating. They have indoor and outdoor dining a little play area for the kids and the food is healthy. Go check it out. read more

4/30/25- So happy to place a pre order online! Went with the Tahoe turkey and decided to try the ugly gooey excellent nachos.. Arrived on time and checked in at the counter- Got my order and off I went-.. Sandwich filled with lots of turkey and the ingredients are perfect-.. Took off one star because part of the nachos were burnt-.. Not too bad but the price was more than the sandwich--.. read more
This really feels like a hidden gem. But it's right out in the open inside of an amazing service station with a great convenience store. But the stand out is the food here from Tahoe Natural Café the quality of ingredients the inventiveness of the menu all of it is a real stand out and anytime I'm in the neighborhood, this is where I go to get my lunch or my breakfast. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back! We took a few minutes to browse the menu and the gentleman taking our order was kind and didn't rush us which was nice! We ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and a mother's macro cookie for the kids. The cafe itself is so aesthetically pleasing and the seating and toys in the kid area were entertaining for our kids. The food was made fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come back! read more

Clean and bright environment with an extensive menu. As a flexitarian, I always appreciate meat-free options. Ordered the seasonal Pumpkin White Mocha (which tastes absolutely amazing) and the Huevos Verderas Rancheros. The portion was friggin huge- definitely sharing size. The only suggestion I have is that they cook the potatoes more. Everything tasted super fresh! Can't wait to reccommend this place and go back! read more
This is a decent place for a quick, healthy breakfast. The dining area is light, clean, and new. The young, fresh-faced staff iss friendly and courteous. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with a double espresso. The sandwich and espresso were well prepared and satisfying. The tortilla chips for a side was a little unusual but I think it's standard for their meals. The chips just seem like a cheap garnish, not a thoughtful complement to the sandwich. read more

This is an unassuming cafe attached to a gas station, and I was blown away by the quiet serenity that I found in this spot. There is ample room to work, wifi, and great service. I got a bengal spice tea, but I would've been really happy to have ordered food if I hadn't just had lunch. There was an abundance of menu items that looked great, including juices and paninis. Sooo happy I found this place! I wanted a healthy and quick option for lunch while running errands. So I stopped by and I'm so glad I did! I got the big salad and protein shake plus a carrot cake muffin to go Can you guys please open a spot in Northlake Tahoe?! We need you! read more
I recently stopped by Tahoe Natural Cafe with my daughter. I was really impressed by how convenient it is. You can fill up your gas, wash your car and grab some delicious food all at once. We kept it simple and split the egg melt ( a bagel with avocado, egg, onion and cheese) which was tasty. I also grabbed a few kale refreshers, which had a nice kick of lemon, ginger, spinach and apple. Super refreshing! My daughter went for one of their fresh juices too. The ordering process is easy- just head up to the counter and your food gets brought out to you in a short amount of time. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking it out. Great food, great vibes and super convenient! read more

Updating my review to say this spot is a convenient staple! Parked here to get coffee then walked around the wetlands to circle back and have lunch on the patio once we finished. My husband ordered the Tahoe turkey without carrots/cabbage and added extra sprouts. I ordered the Cobb salad as is! Both were delicious. :) read more

Tahoe Natural Cafe is a cute spot serving fresh food tucked away behind the new Chevron station in Damonte Ranch. The service was quick, staff was kind. You order at the counter and they give you a number and deliver to your table. The menu is full of fresh offerings like sandwiches and salads as well as smoothies and juices. They even had a few local beers on tap. We loved our sandwiches, the kids quesadilla, the apple turnover, and the kids play area! Such a great new spot in Damonte Ranch. read more
