Turkey bacon avo on perren sourdough
Tara T.

I stopped in for a quick sandwich in the late afternoon. It was about 230 and the only downside was they were closing up the shop and only to-go orders were available, which was fine. The cashier was very friendly and very outgoing. I told her to order me her favorite sandwich and this one was hers. She said this is the sandwich that made her work there. All in all the sandwich had a lot of weight to it, the turkey was very unique, and the bacon was good. I very much enjoyed this $20 sandwich, face palm.

Great space with pops of color and warm woods and lots of natural light. The menu is wholesome and fresh and the pumpkin smoothie bowl I had was aesthetically pleasing and tastebud tantalizing! It took a little bit to get the bowl, but service was friendly and the gal taking my order had no qualms about explaining different items. There is a decent amount of seating outside under a shade cover as well as indoors. After you eat, go grab something from the natural foods store on the bottom floor!

Braised beef burrito to go! Some greens and pickled carrots , as well.

My first experience with Foodshed Cafe was about a 3 star. I didn't get to order anything because a lot of customers were standing by the cash register, waiting for their order. I went upstairs to see if the Grab N Go burritos were still around (they are not). I also wanted to ask a question, but it wasn't possible with the crowd. My blood sugar was getting low, so I had to leave. I returned about a week later. There was no one in line and I got to ask my question. The staff was so polite and helpful. I was able to order some burritos to take home to family. And the food was absolutely delicious !!! The cafe was clean and quiet. Even the patio looked good. It will take some time to adjust, but this place is wonderful! They have a salad bar and there is some Grab N Go items downstairs in the co-op. The menu selection is abundant! I knew I wanted burritos but otherwise I would have had a hard time deciding. There is some baked goods too! And I believe kombucha. Truly love this place.

It is always a great place to eat. Anytime is a good time to get a bite here. The food is local, made with love, has amazing flavors and options, as well as it is always fresh and the healthiest option around. The cafe food is sourced from local farms. The grocery store below has amazing produce, meat, grain, and refrigerated options in the area. All organic. All for a great price. Always helped by smiling and helpful staff. I come here weekly and am never disappointed. Many thanks!

I love this place! Friendly people and awesome food. I got the bees knees sunshine bowl and it was absolutely delicious. This place is upstairs from the food co-op where I got a power green juice and the soup of the day which was sausage, potato, kale and they both were equally delicious as the smoothie bowl. New favorite place to shop and eat.

Inside the fig-elangelo sandwich

So exciting that the Foodshed Cafe opened on the second floor of the Great Basin Food Coop. I met a friend for lunch on the patio today and we got a Fig-elangelo sandwich (me) and Cowboy Delight bowl (her). I was really excited about the sandwich but ended up wishing I had gotten a bowl too. The Fig-elangelo promises cheddar, house-whipped chive goat cheese, caramelized onions, housemade fig jam, stone ground mustard, and arugula. What I got was mostly big blobs of the whipped goat cheese, which was tasty but completely overwhelming and extremely messy. The goat cheese was everywhere. I wanted lots more fig jam on there and an actual mix of all promised flavors. The onions were plentiful but not very caramelized. Also, it took a very long time to come out - my friend and several other tables who ordered after me got their food first, and I even checked on it at a certain point. They give you a buzzer so you go collect your food when it's ready. My friend enjoyed her Cowboy Delight but the portion was pretty small. It was ready quickly at least! Long before my sandwich. The patio is a great outdoor space but some shade would be ideal. There was tons of seating inside so if I really needed out of the sun, I could have opted for that, but it is only going to get hotter... So basically I was underwhelmed. They did open very very recently and I am sure have some things to sort out (the salad bar was apparently broken, too, and not available). I will maybe go back and try some other things- when I have plenty of time to wait and lots of sunblock on (or sit inside. But I love a good patio!). Oh and it took a long time to order/wait our turn to order. It's new and quite an extensive menu with so many options for customization- people ahead of us did a whole lot of asking and choosing and I totally get that, just wish I hadn't come on my lunch break. I do feel like you should be able to go to lunch for a sandwich or bowl and comfortably get your food and eat it in an hour.

We've been coming here for a while but I mostly just get mint tea, which would make for a pretty boring review now wouldn't it? While I can attest that their local mint and mint rose teas are in fact wonderful and rank pretty high on my favorite things there is so much more to this cute little café than just tea. Cozy, warm atmosphere that welcomes you in and invites you to stay a while is what you notice first. Then the employee's who are very friendly and quick to help, smile and ask for your order. Amongst the allergy and preference friendly food I promise you will find something wonderful, local and wholesome to treat yourself to. This time it was goat toast and a breakfast burrito both of which hit the spot and fueled us forward for our busy day. Please come here. Stay for a while. Relax and enjoy some delicious food.

Great quality food, people, and overall chill vibes in this local cafe- my favorite combination Love the fresh ingredients in every option- coffee and tea- yum, breakfast and lunch-- double yum! My fav's are the vanilla latte with oat milk- iced or hot-- loving iced right now. The burritos and bowls have all impressed me- leaving me dancing in my seat when I enjoy them. Highly recommend for whole food / plant based folks

This is the Definition of have it your way I have a few food allergies and they are completely amenable to modifying food to meet your dietary restrictions. I have been here twice. I have had a bowl as well as the burrito and they are outstanding. You can even add a glass of wine or beer to your lunch . It has a nice outside and they finally added a covering so that you're not in the glaring sun. I highly recommend it for lunch.

This place is revolutionary. Definitely the best sandwich I've had. Danielle recommended the pulled pork, all items from local growers (including the pork). Phenomenal. Danielle and Bee were very welcoming, great customer service. Cute, simple interior & great shaded deck seating!

Amazing shredded beef burrito. All local ingredients.

Amazing service, friendly staff. Lots of options, coffees, alcoholic beverages, etc. Hoping they get shade coverage for the outdoor area.

I ordered the peach mango frozen daiquiri in the souvenir tumbler, fully expecting something along the lines of a Fat Tuesday-style cocktail. Instead, I drank the entire 24 oz cup and couldn't taste any alcohol -- and more importantly, didn't feel even the slightest buzz. If there was liquor in it, it is was microscopic. At $21, that's a problem. To be clear: it tasted good. Sweet, icy, refreshing. But that's not the bar. If I wanted a non-alcoholic frozen drink, I could've spent a few dollars at 7-Eleven and had the exact same experience. This felt like a glorified slurpee pretending to be a cocktail. Value is where this place really falls apart. $21 for a drink that drinks like juice is simply not worth it, tumbler or not. The portion is large, sure, but size doesn't matter when the main selling point -- alcohol -- is missing in action. Credit where it's due: the bartender was genuinely friendly, let us sample flavors, and the service was great. No complaints there. The bar itself is a quick walk-up spot across from Brew Brothers, clean and convenient if you're already nearby. Unfortunately, the product doesn't match the promise. I went in hoping for something fun and boozy and walked away feeling like they forgot to add the liquor entirely. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? Also no. If you're looking for a frozen drink, skip it. If you're looking for an overpriced slurpee with a casino backdrop... well, this might be your place. 2 stars instead of 1 only because the bartender was great talking to.

Blender Bar is another place in Silver Legacy to get wasted at. Has typical overpriced drinks. It…read morehas lots of frozen drinks to choose from. Also you can get regular pours and add shots to them if you need more of a buzz. The prices are kind of high but these are good for cooling off. It pretty much is like those Fat Tuesdays in Vegas where the goofy girls order those yardstick size drinks. Many flavors to choose from. They have margarita, pina colada, and more. Also it's allowed to combine flavors. These can make for some interesting concoctions and it can be fun experimenting with all of these. It's $12 for a small. This is still a fairly big size and it's usually enough to last awhile because it's frozen and drinking it takes more time. Also you can add shots if you have to get more alcohol. It will get more expensive of course. The drinks are still good even if you you get these the regular way.

I went to the Roost twice last week…read more It was hard at first since I didn't see the flavors and felt a bit rushed to order(not by the staff but by the eager drives behind me). I did a control drink- 16 oz cold brew with hazelnut syrup and a splash of almond milk. The coffee had a nice roast and the hazelnut tasted like Monin syrups which are my favorite. The second time I had a strawberry spiced chai a barista recommendation. The chai is flavorful and the strawberry was a nice touch. The drinks are reasonably priced and a great pit stop when running errands. It does get busy during school drop off and pick up times , so I try to go between that time.

It's always the right temperature, smooth, creamy, and just enough chai spice to make it yummy. Their employees are always cheerful and helpful,as well as, my granddaughter's love getting their Italian sodas as a special treat on Saturdays. We usually frequent the kiosk in the village shopping center because it's convenient to my home. My daughter swears by their coffee and some of their other specialty drinks, and she should know , having been in the Coffee business for about 12 years. We enjoy their decorations around the holidays and as the seasons change. They also offer a drink card if you buy 10 selections, you get one for free. Not many places are giving anything away for free anymore, so I love this perk.
