It had been many many years since I had visited Blender Bar. While I wasn't exactly impressed with my previous visit, the fact that this joint has held its own & withstood the test of time is something to commend. Blender Bar is known for it's fun, fruity, frozen drinks with a boozy twist. Light on the boozy aspect, heavy on the fruity. Some things never change right?? For those beer connoisseurs, the bar also offers a number of craft brews. The initial want was the spicy watermelon but the watermelon flavor was out of order. We settled with Rum Runner & Peach Mango- both tasted good but an EXTRA add shot is a necessity @ the very least. Shout out to Selena. I wanted a frozen daiquiri. What I got was a very expensive Slurpee. Blender Bar, located inside the Silver Legacy, looks like the perfect stop for a fun, boozy frozen drink. I ordered the peach mango frozen daiquiri in the souvenir tumbler, fully expecting something along the lines of a Fat Tuesday-style cocktail. Instead, I drank the entire 24 oz cup and couldn't taste any alcohol -- and more importantly, didn't feel even the slightest buzz. If there was liquor in it, it is was microscopic. At $21, that's a problem. To be clear: it tasted good. Sweet, icy, refreshing. But that's not the bar. If I wanted a non-alcoholic frozen drink, I could've spent a few dollars at 7-Eleven and had the exact same experience. This felt like a glorified slurpee pretending to be a cocktail. Value is where this place really falls apart. $21 for a drink that drinks like juice is simply not worth it, tumbler or not. The portion is large, sure, but size doesn't matter when the main selling point -- alcohol -- is missing in action. Credit where it's due: the bartender was genuinely friendly, let us sample flavors, and the service was great. No complaints there. The bar itself is a quick walk-up spot across from Brew Brothers, clean and convenient if you're already nearby. Unfortunately, the product doesn't match the promise. I went in hoping for something fun and boozy and walked away feeling like they forgot to add the liquor entirely. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? Also no. If you're looking for a frozen drink, skip it. If you're looking for an overpriced slurpee with a casino backdrop... well, this might be your place. 2 stars instead of 1 only because the bartender was great talking to. read more

Blender Bar is another place in Silver Legacy to get wasted at. Has typical overpriced drinks. It has lots of frozen drinks to choose from. Also you can get regular pours and add shots to them if you need more of a buzz. The prices are kind of high but these are good for cooling off. It pretty much is like those Fat Tuesdays in Vegas where the goofy girls order those yardstick size drinks. Many flavors to choose from. They have margarita, pina colada, and more. Also it's allowed to combine flavors. These can make for some interesting concoctions and it can be fun experimenting with all of these. It's $12 for a small. This is still a fairly big size and it's usually enough to last awhile because it's frozen and drinking it takes more time. Also you can add shots if you have to get more alcohol. It will get more expensive of course. The drinks are still good even if you you get these the regular way. read more

THEY ARE RACIST! the one by the arcade accepted my mexican identification, i had just turned 21 and was drinking at other bars, restaurants in the same area. back to the one by the arcade, accepted my identification no problem just checked my age and gave me my drink. the one by the pizza place next to the new cafe, medium white dude with glasses grey hair, asked to see my ID , gave it him no problem since the other one accepted mine , and declined it and told me no because i'm from out the country and it's against the law?? when searching it up it says reno/most of nevada accepts any ID, the plaque they have doesn't say anything about foreign identifications. manager was brought in and she had no idea what to say to the issue. my mother has a california REAL ID / license whatever and he told us no either because i have a different country identification??! when manager went up to him to get my mother her drink he said no because we were in the same party and it was against their rules or laws... and she said oh?! and didn't know anything about that and just went along with it. .. Nathan and Christine are great with customer service and very knowledgeable. You ask questions about flavors and recommendations and they will let you try some out before you commit. There are several alcohol mixes to choose from and the prices vary. You can add 3 shots for 5 dollars. They are 11% and easy to drink. Stop by and try them out. The pina colada flavor slush was pretty good but then again I felt like it was also suuuuper sweet and my stomach started hurting after that. First time here. Decided to come grab a drink after thinking Fat Tuesdays in Las Vegas. The smoothies werent bad, the service was great. It was my first time so it was nice that the guy working here allowed me to try 3 of their 6 flavors. I tasted the Peach Passion, Margarita, and Tropical Punch. Of these three, my favorite was Peach Passion just because I am a huge fan of peaches. My next deicision was what size to get, they offered a variety of sizes with different prices and even things you can bring home. I decided to get the tumblr one because there was about 24 ounces for 14$. The guy there told me the alcohol content of the drinks is 10% with 2$ more per shot. After drinking the drink, I realized that I should have probably added a couple more shots because it was not very strong in alcohol. read more

Prices start at $7 for a disposable cup and the souvenir cups start at $10+. Additional shot is $3. I was pretty full by the time we got here so I didn't order my own drink but I got to try some of my brother-in-law's. He got the blue raspberry one, but I think the lava flow would have tasted better in my opinion. read more

A little booth right inside the walkway from Silver Legacy to Circus Circus gave me just what I needed to kick off the last night of my vacation! A little pricey (cheaper than some Vegas places), but definitely worth it. My mom loves strawberry daiquiris and she said this place hit the spot. Not too strong and overpowering, but sweet. Personally, I loved how they had testers so I could try all the flavors! Ultimately I got the wolf-pack and strawberry daiquiri. Mixed together it tasted like blue raspberry. After hours of gambling and drinking whisky, we left Harrah's for El Doraldo and saw Frozen Daiquirs. I don't even know why we stopped here since we don't drink daiquiris but drunken Latda was like, "I'll get everyone their own cups!" It's your typical frozen, pre-made drink stand with two girls working behind the counter. The birthday boy ordered some fruity flavor my two other friends ordered different flavors. For an extra $2, you get two shots of whatever you want to add to your cup. I tried all the boys' drinks and although yummy, they were way too sweet! I'm not a fan of the pre-mixed frozen stuff, doesn't please my taste buds much - but it is nice to have something cold to sip on while you walk around. I just don't like that sticky feeling in my throat after! Three medium long cups with 2 extra shot for each cup ran $55. A tad bit pricey but I was faded and I didn't care. +/- THE FOOD This place is basically a copy of Fat Tuesdays in Vegas. My friends and I shared the 32 oz "cup" of the Peach Passion. The guy working there informed me that there were 3 shots in there. When I drank it, I couldn't taste the alcohol at all. The drink itself tasted pretty good with a strong peach taste. However, it got pretty sweet over time. Also, the drink separated from the ice often so once you finished all of the drink, you'd be left with a whole big chunk of ice. My friends and I later shared the yardstick version and the whole separation thing happened again. + THE PRICES The price of the 32 oz was $17 and the yardstick costed $30. This was pretty worth it because you share it with so many people that it doesn't cost that much per person. read more

This place was coo. I got the 48 oz cup and filled it up with the strawberry drink. When I was talking to the lady she said that there is 5 shots in that when you drink the whole thing. So I added 6 extra shots just to make sure I had a good time in Reno. The price for the extra shot were not that bad. I think it was 3 for $5 so why not!! And what's good about it was that it still taste just as good. Oh and don't throw away the cups because they refill them at a discount. It isn't that much but why not save a little money when you can use it to gamble. As for the service the "bartender" was really nice. She remembered my girlfriend and I every time we went there so she hooked us up. And they're very talkative which isn't a bad thing too. read more
