This place is the next big spot in Reno. I just came here for coffee (which was good btw) but talking with the manager, it looks like this is more than just a coffee shop. The interior is designed like a bar, but without the alcohol for a reason. They have big dreams to use their venue as a safe space for non-alcoholic get-togethers and have designed their space to have a lively vibe and without the liquor. Instead, they have coffee. They allow a lot of customizations for their drinks. You choose the type of coffee, the type of milk, and the sweetener. I'm basic so I got a latte with whole milk. It was good, and it was very cheap at $4 so already a win in my book. Looking around, they have a gigantic amount of space within their property. Their front room has a lot of activities like pool tables, video games, board games (I think) amongst other trinkets like a jukebox. There is ample amount of seating areas for people to hang out. In the back room, they have set up a stage full of audio equipment. They plan on opening up the space for music events, classes (maybe yoga), organization meetings, etc. They are really working towards a wholesome environment for people to have fun and come together. For individuals who want to stay sober when going out, for individuals who are working towards sobriety, for people to meet, 4th Street Brewery Coffee Bar opens its doors as a safe space for such goals. They want to support the community in this manner, I think it is a beautiful mission that they are pursuing. Personally, I think this is a great addition to the Reno community and should be implemented in other cities if not already. I just went for mid-work coffee so I didn't stay long, but I recommend making a trip/hang-out out of it and interacting with all they have to offer. I'll stop by again.

Love this place. It's across the st Frm the tire shop I go to. Love the selection of non alcoholic drinks they have and amazing service. The vibe is super chill. Love the book and record selection. Def a safe space if you're trying to stay sober.

Drink menu - try the nadamichelada!

Lars was really cool when I came in, explained the layout of the place and made me a nadamichelada - spicy and tasty! They have vinyl, vhs and dvds to watch movies, a reading area and little library in addition to the pool tables and gym area (yes, a gym area!). They have live music as well - check them out if you can. It was nice to go to a bar and not be concerned about running into drunk jerks there. Just saying!

Ask the Community - 4th St Brewery Coffee Bar

Do you have a selection of NA beers? I enjoy mocktails, but the quality of NA beer offerings has become incredible in the last few years.. I'd understand if you're avoiding that as being too alcohol adjacent, just curious.

We have only zero alcohol beers and that selection is limited unfortunately some beer makers advertise zero but they are zero. 5 and our commitment here is zero alcohol

We all LOVED our drinks mine was like a boozy (honestly was there even booze in it lol) milkshake and I tried my friends, one was a special holiday drink "sugar plum fairy" which was sweeter and yummy and other friend got a baileys based martini also very yummy. So, after dinner he wanted to take me to this fancy Fireside Lounge for drinks after dinner. It was hella hard to find, but we did finally. It's near the Italian place called Romanza. It's supposed to be like the old school fireplace lounges the Peppermill restaurants used to have. I don't think there's any Peppermill restaurants around anymore, just this casino. My friend told me all locals get 20% off at any of the restaurants, so that's kinds cool. Inside this lounge, it's really on the dark side and there's lots of soft puffy couches and love seats. If you wanted a dark booth to make out in, this is the place! There's nice seating around the gas fireplace if you want, but those seats go fast on busy nights. I thought the music was kinda loud, but that might just be me. I don't think there's much food served in here, just fancy drinks before the making out starts! They have there monster big bowl drinks to share like a Scorpion, I think full of rum and other stuff. That thing's gonna be a headache in the morning! It was fun staying for a round of drinks, we got one of the darker booths ... you know for making out! Check it out, if you can find the lounge!

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The joint was nearly empty aside from a couple at the bar. Plenty of seating for our large group in the large, comfy couches. They also have cool built-in seating around the perimeter of the bar, though not nearly as comfortable as the vintage furniture. The menu is sorted by glass type. A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.

What a major local gem in Reno. It only took one visit for…read moreme to become a fan of this coffee shop/bar in Midtown. You can tell that a lot of thought and heart went into the place. The decor, the entertainment, the products all struck a chord with me. On one side - a super cute pour over/loose leaf tea shop with some records for sale. On the other - a cute bar and lounge area equipped with a vinyl player (Bring one in on a Monday for them to play). You have some house pants, checkered floors, and cool vinyl covers all over the walls that make for some great & hip atmosphere and vibes. Their restrooms, though small, and clean and cool. Their pour overs are so flavorful, strong, and made with beans grounded on your visit. I love that they're flavored and sweetened in a way that allows the coffee to shine. If you're into sweeter drinks, ask for a bit more sweetner or add in a brown raw sugar packet yourself from the straw station. I hear their chocolate pour over is a hit. Matchas - prepared in a similar fashion. Slightly sweetned with subtle flavorings. I tried their carrot cake matcha today and really enjoyed the housemade syrup they used to flavor it with. I also love that they offer loose leaf teas. Their chai was nice, fragrant and great with a little sweetner and milk. Shelby over at the bar area was sooo patient with explaining their menu and suggested a isla bonita pineapple shrub drink for a non alcoholic option. Similar to their other drinks on the coffee side, it was tamed in sugar yet still fun and flavorful. I really enjoyed the tang from the apple cider and the spice from the tajin chili powder as a contrasting flavor. Double check their website for bar and coffee shop hours as they differ from one another. And follow them on Instagram for updates on seasonal specials & themed gatherings. A lot of cool local DJs spin here for special events and parties during the holidays. Tip: sit next to the pour over station next to the menu. It's so entertaining, especially with Sydney working the station (thanks so much for the chat and entertainment. Honestly one of the friendliest baristas I've ever met in Reno). Both bars are set up in a way that allows for meeting others and socializing. Check it out. It's a good time. Notes *Catch live jazz music on Wednesdays here for free. *free street & neighborhood parking *bagels & cream cheese available at the coffee shop *they have fun with their seasonal drink specials. I dig it.
