First time to this coffee shop. Was very pleased with the overall experience. The shop itself is a nice balance of retro and chic. Definitely very emblematic of the Midtown area. Unfortunately, they don't offer my typical drink which is a pour over coffee. The person who helped me did say that they are working on adding it to the menu soon. I settled on an Americano and had it black. The coffee was smooth and the temperature was perfect. I decided to stay and do some work for a bit. The seating options were plentiful and there are options both indoor and outdoor. Clean restrooms and upbeat music made the experience even better. Parking was easy out front and the location is very central. With quality coffee, excellent service and appealing presentation of the physical space, what's not to like? I have had a chance to go here a few times and each time the coffee has been amazing. I love the vibe and how low key it is. The barista are so nice and helpful. They are a little hidden so it did take me a minute to find them , but it is definitely a must try. We also tried a cheese bagel and one in our party had the ham and cheese croissant that were made by Beloved bread; both items were definitely worth ordering again - they were fresh and tasty and the croissant retained It's crispiness after Heating. We love that it is so close to the river and can run several 3-5 mile routes or any distance and be back for fresh coffee after our run. The inside is really cute, clean and super retro looking. I was hoping they would have multiple sugar feee options but they only have sugar free vanilla. I opted for an iced almond milk hazelnut latte. It's very tasty but just a tiny bit too sweet for my personal taste. My sister ordered a hot lavender latte which I tasted and it wasn't as sweet as mine. We went in hoping for a drink and something to eat too and were pleasantly surprised that in addition to pastries from Beloved they offered breakfast burritos too! They had 3 flavors: steak, bacon, and a vegan option. We tried both of the meat burritos, both of which were super flavorful and the green salsa complimented it so well. It was very substantial. Being close to the holidays, we had to try the gingerbread latte. It came out nice and hot and had a great balance of spices. While I have to say they're a little pricey, I love that they have long hours since most coffee shops close before 5pm. The menu and decor are very clean and simple and the service was wonderful. Everyone was very kind and helpful with any questions we had. There's plenty of seating and the space is cozy but open. They have outlets throughout the space to ensure you're always charged up. The team is personable, friendly, and welcoming. We are always looking for a new coffee spot and came across Chrome Coffee Works. It looks adorable from the outside and love the inside with the brick walls and wood floor. It does feel a little empty, but it definitely has the potential to gain that cozy favorite coffee spot feel with time. I did love the Jazz music playing, fun and enough to put anyone in a good mood. We had a Mocha and a Chai Latte. Both were good, but nothing unique. I also love to be served in real coffee mugs, but instead we got paper cups. It wasn't until later that I realized we had the option. It wasn't offered to us when we ordered, so I suppose you have to request it. In addition to our coffee, we had 2 pastries from Beloveds Bakery, which were really good. This seems to be a popular place as there was a steady flow of people the entire time we were there. I knew I was in great hands for delicious espresso and also a great explanation of what was offered. We came during a bit of a rush, and I noticed once there was no line and we received both drinks that they forgot the croissant. I would imagine something similar in Seattle or Portland. I like how the menu had an option to tell the staff what you like and then can probably make it. I come here all the time on coffee breaks at work, absolutely one of my favorites in town. The place itself is always super chill, it's got a great vibe. Theres always people studying in there and honestly, I understand why. Definitely that ideal chill coffee place. As far as their coffee itself goes, it's quite good and rivals the rest of the coffee in town. My go to for coffee is usually an iced white mocha, which is phenomenal. However, the absolute BEST thing there is their Chai latte, both hot and iced. Unlike most chais I've had, it's got this perfect spice to it that kinda feels like eating one of those fireball candies. It's the perfect amount of sweet and spice, one of the best chai I've ever had, period. Not just in Reno. Before I end the review, I do also want to mention that the staff is always incredibly nice and in high spirits. It really feels like they enjoy their job, which is a nice touch. I ordered gotta do, equal parts milk and espresso, it was the perfect cold weather beverage for me. The inside is spacious and would be a great place to meet a group for a coffee. There is only street parking, by if you live in the midtown/downtown area, it's a nice walk. The service was quick and the baristas were very friendly.
