First time to this coffee shop. Was very pleased with the overall experience. The shop itself is a nice balance of retro and chic. Definitely very emblematic of the Midtown area. Unfortunately, they don't offer my typical drink which is a pour over coffee. The person who helped me did say that they are working on adding it to the menu soon. I settled on an Americano and had it black. The coffee was smooth and the temperature was perfect. I decided to stay and do some work for a bit. The seating options were plentiful and there are options both indoor and outdoor. Clean restrooms and upbeat music made the experience even better. Parking was easy out front and the location is very central. With quality coffee, excellent service and appealing presentation of the physical space, what's not to like? Be sure to check it out... no doubt it will soon be your new favorite local coffee spot! read more

Gorgeous, spacious room. Really nice furniture. Decent-ish coffee: I'm not a fan our light/sour cold brew, but it was a decent brew. Minus 1 star: Open until 6, but out of all baked food items at 3pm on a weekday. read more

I love this spot! Super cool place to hang out, get some cool merch and delicious coffee. They have fun seasonals as well as options to build your own drink or lemonade. I got a raspberry mocha and it was so yummy, just quite sweet! I believe they make some of their coffee syrups in house as well. The vintage aesthetic runs inside and out and is so fun. read more

Ok. Just tried my usual drink (oatmilk latte hot) at this coffee spot. Delicious! Probably one of the better lattes I have ever had. The ambience is very cool and I love the outside and all the paint and different colors. They have cool merch and art too. My new favorite coffee shop in Reno. Staff was great! read more

Coffee was decent, smooth not overly bitter. Service is absolutely terrible. Cashier is rude, seems annoyed that guests actually come in. Did purchase about $40 worth of pastries and burritos but gave them to some homeless kids so can't speak to how good they were. read more

Crawled in after a long night of casino "donations" and found salvation in a cup. They serve Olympia Coffee, which means the beans are doing the heavy lifting while I just try to stay upright. The vibe's industrial but cozy -- exposed brick, warm wood floors, and natural light that forgives your life choices. Friendly baristas and a good cup of cortado helped me forget how brutal dice could be. read more

Adorable coffee shop with fresh brewed drinks and snacks. Perfect for a light breakfast. We had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! And of course I get tea at the coffee shop! They brewed it fresh and you have choice of flavors. So refreshing! Outlets at the tables so you can work or charge your phone. Service was excellent. Highly recommend! read more

Friendly staff and pretty fast turn around for coffee so wait was minimal. I liked the convenient outlets along the seating, also a great place to get some work done. I tried the veggie and the bacon burrito both are pretty good but my favorite thing was the sauce! I had a dirty chai, lovely place to catch up with friends and chill out over some good coffee! Pet friendly which I love and they have some limited outside seating. Bathrooms were clean and accessible! read more

Super cute coffee shop with a lot of original elements to the building. (Old hardwood etc) We didn't have to wait in a line and server was kind and efficient. We ordered iced blackberry sage tea and iced orange spice tea. Both were delicious snd hit the spot on the heated afternoon! I would go back and get tea or try their coffee. Several people were hanging out studying and visiting. Seemed like a cool spot to chill for a bit. Very clean and had clean bathrooms. read more

I have had a chance to go here a few times and each time the coffee has been amazing. I love the vibe and how low key it is. The barista are so nice and helpful. They are a little hidden so it did take me a minute to find them , but it is definitely a must try. The only thing is I wish there was a little more parking, nothing wrong with a little walking though. read more

Second visit here to chrome coffee works with my she runs this town running group - and I have to say that the coffee seemed almost better than the first visit. We also tried a cheese bagel and one in our party had the ham and cheese croissant that were made by Beloved bread; both items were definitely worth ordering again - they were fresh and tasty and the croissant retained It's crispiness after Heating. We love that it is so close to the river and can run several 3-5 mile routes or any distance and be back for fresh coffee after our run. This place does get busy, but the service kept up great today and I love the warm ambience with the fun colorful outdoor area and signage plus the ample sized seating area. read more

Tried a super cute new coffee shop off Pine St. If you drive down this road you can't miss it as the building itself is a very noticeable pink building. The inside is really cute, clean and super retro looking. The menu is really simple but they do have a note that says if you don't see what you want, just ask, we can probably make it! which is pretty neat. I was hoping they would have multiple sugar feee options but they only have sugar free vanilla. I opted for an iced almond milk hazelnut latte. It's very tasty but just a tiny bit too sweet for my personal taste. My sister ordered a hot lavender latte which I tasted and it wasn't as sweet as mine. They do latte art on hot drinks which is always cute. The staff is very friendly and attentive. read more

Lorenzo and his team are doing a great job with this latest iteration of a coffee shop in this location. I'm not vegan, but I have lots of vegan friends, so I appreciate that they have so many pastry options that are vegan friendly. The coffee tastes high quality, and it doesn't take too long for the baristas to make each order. You also can order affogato, and espresso over frozen yogurt hits the spot. (They also have a vegan frozen yogurt option!) This location is so aesthetically pleasing, and there's lot of street parking. The cutest place to get coffee in town! As a car girlie, I love that Lorenzo supports car culture (hence: chrome coffee). The interior color matches the exterior of his 1954 Bel Air! read more

This place is great! Located on Pine street in downtown Reno, Chrome coffee is a simple and stylish place to grab coffee, tea, and light breakfast options. We were greeted kindly and service was quick and friendly. We ordered several drinks and a bagel and the other portion of our party ordered a kid hot chocolate and a breakfast burrito. Everything was very tasty and we were all satisfied with our drinks. The staff went above and beyond walking the food to our table and allowing us to have an extra cup for the kids hot chocolate. They even gave us a free cup of milk when our littlest decided he needed his very own "coffee"! No complaints about Chrome Coffee Works. I loved the retro vibe and the great drinks. I discovered Chrome Coffee Works on Instagram and was so excited to stop by. We went in hoping for a drink and something to eat too and were pleasantly surprised that in addition to pastries from Beloved they offered breakfast burritos too! They had 3 flavors: steak, bacon, and a vegan option. We tried both of the meat burritos, both of which were super flavorful and the green salsa complimented it so well. It was very substantial. Being close to the holidays, we had to try the gingerbread latte. It came out nice and hot and had a great balance of spices. While I have to say they're a little pricey, I love that they have long hours since most coffee shops close before 5pm. The menu and decor are very clean and simple and the service was wonderful. Everyone was very kind and helpful with any questions we had. There's plenty of seating and the space is cozy but open. It seems like a great place to get some work done and I'll definitely be back again! read more

Love the vintage vibe of this new coffee shop. The interior is beautifully curated with their customer in mind. They have plenty of different seating areas. I love the bar area. They have outlets throughout the space to ensure you're always charged up. The team is personable, friendly, and welcoming. Love supporting local businesses, this is a great new addition to the neighborhood. We ordered a few drinks and they were made pretty quickly. Their White Mocha and Chai Tea Latte were both delicious. They also had hot chocolate for the kiddo. Looking forward to getting back here to try more of their menu offerings, especially when they have a DJ spinning. read more

"Voted best coffee 'on Pine St,'" and I'd go even further--best coffee from Liberty all the way up to 4th Street. Chrome Coffee Works is a cozy spot right in the heart of Reno, within walking distance of shops, the river, and downtown casinos. The coffee is excellent, with a small but mighty menu that nails the classics and offers some creative twists. On my last visit, the barista recommended the pistachio latte--it was absolutely delicious. The aesthetic is on point, especially if you're into 50s style. From the hand-painted window signs to the exposed brick and pastel touches, the vibe is unique and welcoming. Parents, just a heads-up: they don't have a changing table. That's something I usually look for when visiting places with my little one, but honestly, it doesn't take away from the overall experience. read more

We are always looking for a new coffee spot and came across Chrome Coffee Works. It looks adorable from the outside and love the inside with the brick walls and wood floor. It does feel a little empty, but it definitely has the potential to gain that cozy favorite coffee spot feel with time. I did love the Jazz music playing, fun and enough to put anyone in a good mood. We had a Mocha and a Chai Latte. Both were good, but nothing unique. I also love to be served in real coffee mugs, but instead we got paper cups. It wasn't until later that I realized we had the option. It wasn't offered to us when we ordered, so I suppose you have to request it. In addition to our coffee, we had 2 pastries from Beloveds Bakery, which were really good. This seems to be a popular place as there was a steady flow of people the entire time we were there. Love the location and service was good. I would definitely give it another try at a later date. read more

I've had coffee from this building many times, but this was my first experience with Chrome Coffee! It was great to see a familiar face behind the bar from my roasting days. I knew I was in great hands for delicious espresso and also a great explanation of what was offered. In this summer heat, I kept it simple and had an iced coffee with one of the two house made syrups. It was delicious and not too sweet. I'm interested in the coffee brand they use because it scores really well. For coffee nerds, that's awesome! The outdoor patio seating is cute and I can't wait to attend a Coffee Flipabeat event inside. The vibes inside have always been great at this location! read more

While I appreciate the barista was super invested in the personal life drama they were sharing with their cohort, I feel, as the only paying customers in the place and with an incredibly basic order, they should have been able to deliver two hot matching coffees. Since we're at the tail end of a long haul I don't have time or energy to parent someone into doing their especially simple job correctly so we just took it and left. We ordered the caramel latte, drip coffee, and a croissant from Beloved's Bread. We came during a bit of a rush, and I noticed once there was no line and we received both drinks that they forgot the croissant. I did wait patiently for a while, but I did have to go up and ask for it again since I ordered to-go. My fiancé and I thought both drinks were okay and not bad. I'm not sure if I would come back for just the coffee. However, the croissant from Beloved's Bread was delicious. The place itself has a really nice vibe. The brick walls are beautiful and the art as well. It is very spacious and has a lot of seating. I did find it a bit loud, but there was a DJ playing at the time so it might just be on certain occasions. The place is worth trying out if you've never been. read more

Chrome Coffee Works seems like the place where meetings and great ideas are formed. It was a Sunday midmorning, and most of the seats were taken. I would imagine something similar in Seattle or Portland. I like how the menu had an option to tell the staff what you like and then can probably make it. The front counter had at least 6 fun syrup flavors. I went with an iced oatmilk lavendar latte. It was delicious. I believe it was about $6. They had pastry items in a case for purchase. I enjoyed the outside aesthetics and this business appears to be doing really well. read more

I come here all the time on coffee breaks at work, absolutely one of my favorites in town. The place itself is always super chill, it's got a great vibe. Theres always people studying in there and honestly, I understand why. Definitely that ideal chill coffee place. As far as their coffee itself goes, it's quite good and rivals the rest of the coffee in town. My go to for coffee is usually an iced white mocha, which is phenomenal. However, the absolute BEST thing there is their Chai latte, both hot and iced. Unlike most chais I've had, it's got this perfect spice to it that kinda feels like eating one of those fireball candies. It's the perfect amount of sweet and spice, one of the best chai I've ever had, period. Not just in Reno. Before I end the review, I do also want to mention that the staff is always incredibly nice and in high spirits. It really feels like they enjoy their job, which is a nice touch. If anything, it shows to me that the employees are treated well, which is always a huge plus in my book. read more
