Stopped in here while my husband was getting his hair cut at the owners shop directly across the street. I was a big fan when it was CeCe's Motor Coffee Co so I wanted to check it out. The outside is adorable and screams 1950's vintage ad. I absolutely loved the signage and window art and it was so cute and welcoming! If you love old comics like Archie's then come and see just the entrance! Upon entrance it was pretty busy but not over packed. since this area of town has gone through some hard times recently it's nice to see it a bit busier. I was helped by a lady who showed me the holiday specials and the normal menu - which is pretty small but she let me know if there was something specific I wanted to just ask and she will let me know if they could make it. I ended up getting the gingerbread latte from the holiday menu and it was quite good! It wasn't sweet and tasted strongly of the spices in gingerbread. The order came out quickly and I sat a few minutes to send an email and notices that a lot of people were working or on coffee outings with friends. I do hope that the menu can grow a little bit and that there is a few options for hanging out cups (glass mugs?) then just to go cups! read more

Stopped in quickly to grab a coffee and a treat and it was a great little stop. My nature in any new place is to order a vanilla latte since it tends to the tired choice most coffee trips and it hit the spot. The inside is simple with plenty of table and seats to enjoy your drink at and the little sweet treat I got was a nice little touch for the drink. All in all I would say it is worth a quick stop when you're in the area and don't want to hit up a coffee chain. read more

I have to say the aesthetic of the place is great. The service sucked though. As a coffee shop you should always greet a customer and be friendly. Did not receive a warm welcome. The lady just stood there waiting for us to order like we've been there before. We are from Fresno and just visiting. My wife got a White Mocha with oat milk. She loved it. Im not a coffee drinker but had a sip and I was surprised how good it was. I also got a choc chip croissant. The croissant was a 7/10. I believe it was a pastry sold by a local seller. Also they don't warm it up(at least they don't ask at all) so it makes it not as good. I would come back for the coffee but not for the service and the bakery treats. read more

I haven't even left yet, I came in for a coffee not knowing what I was walking into cause I'm from out of town and I came right before closing by accident but the guy was sooooo nice and understanding. I got a cold brew with hazelnut and cream and I can honestly say as a big time coffee drinker this is hands down THE BEST cold brew I have ever had! I could drink this black it's so smooth and robust! You can tell it's strong but so smooth it gets away with it. read more

My first time at Chrome Coffee and it will not be my last! I heard about their recent opening on social media. It's right across the street from Pine State Biscuits. Street parking is available right outside and on neighboring streets. The inside is much more spacious than you'd think from the outside. Love the exposed brick walls inside, it has a cozy vibe. Their menu is pretty straightforward but didn't have any flavor add-ins listed, I had to ask what they were. They do have quite a few available, so be sure to ask! Hopefully they will post the flavor list somewhere eventually. They also have several different types of teas for those who want something besides coffee. I got a vanilla rosemary latte and enjoyed it! It was served in a cute mug with nice latte art on top. Couldn't really taste the rosemary, seemed more like a vanilla latte to me. My friend just got a drip coffee and found out they do free refills! My other friend ordered a tea which was never brought out--I had to go ask the barista and found out they forgot to make it. Took about 20 mins to get that drink unfortunately. They were pretty busy basically the whole time we were there, there were very few empty tables. There's a few things to iron out but overall I liked it and plan to come back! read more

I got a cortado, my husband got a drip coffee with hazelnut. Baristas weren't the friendliest. They seemed annoyed when taking our order. We got the chocolate croissant, thought they would warm it up but we got it cold which wasn't the greatest. Overall I would go back for my cortado because it was really good but because of the service and cold pastries I would think twice about it. read more

Very quaint coffee shop across from Pine State Biscuits. Loved the large windows and sun shining through. Great place to work too. Had accessible outlets. I had a flat white and was filled to the brim with a beautiful design on top. Bathrooms were lovely. And THOSE CROISSANT MUFFINS were to die for! i'm so torn because i really really love this place and it's on my way to work so the location is super convenient, but i do have an issue with my drink being consistently good. i always order an iced oat milk vanilla latte, very basic very good nothing crazy. And it is good! But, sometimes there will be so many grounds in it i cant drink it. I do come in very close to open, but I do not mind waiting for things to be dialed in, etc if it means the product is drinkable :( the barista has never asked for a few moments to get things together, which i would i truly understand and wouldn't mind. i don't know why it happens sometimes, but doesn't most of the time. In one instance you could even see how many grounds there are from the top of the drink. I haven't been back since September, but I really like their espresso and i miss it. It's just the one barista that does it and it isn't all the time. it always makes me really sad and ruins my morning when this happens. the burritos are also hit or miss but the sauce is amazing love the pastries and bagels music is always great too read more

I am in love with this vintage inspired coffee shop that is in the heart of Reno! This is locally owned and operated by some friendly folks who truly love the craft of coffee. The espresso quality is superb and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and open. I would recommend to try your usual go to and experience the difference between hand crafted with care and a sloppy quick drive thru cup of joe. Support local businesses, especially this one! I always appreciate the opportunity to support a locally owned business! The space itself is beautiful and so well done. There is plenty of comfortable seating, and even outlets available throughout if you need to charge a device. Every time I have been in it is impeccably clean. The espresso is wonderful. I largely gave up on lattes and drinks of the sort but find myself ordering one each day now. You can order your drink as you like - for me, that is highly appreciated! I just moved back to Reno after some time away and was happy to find this place pop up while I was away. The environment is so relaxing. It's super spacious and the music sets a mood that's great for focusing or just chatting with friends. The people here though, awesome. Excellent coffee shop in midtown Reno, just blocks from the Truckee River. Locally owned and operated and it really shows! Classic coffee is perfect but you can ask them to make just about any variation of coffee drink. Grab and go pastries are available and a great breakfast burrito- if you're looking for something more substantial. Service is excellent! Staff is friendly and attentive. I'm glad that this retro themed coffee shop opened nearby. I love seeing small businesses thrive in the community! read more

I was excited to try this new place as it was previously hub coffee roasters and I wanted to see how the new remodel went. I loved the inside; it was cozy and had a relaxed atmosphere. I came on a Saturday morning on 1/18/25 and when I walked through the door, there was a tall man at the register. He never greeted me or said a word to me, just looked at me and sorta half smiles. After a minute of standing at the register, he lets me know that he will help me in just a minute. He then proceeds to take my order and asked me what I would like (tone was dry). I place my order and once my drink comes out, he says "here's that mocha" but just very dry and no sincerity since the beginning of the interaction. Mind you, there was another man that ordered after me and he greeted him very happily and with these other two girls over there he was polite, as well as with the other people sitting at the counter. The service truly threw me off, and on top of that I asked for my coffee to be lightly sweetened. It was not, and it was super sweet. There was no way I was gonna go in and ask for a new drink because I probably would have bothered him even more. I will go in again and try it out once more, but I hope its on a good day and with a different employee. read more
