Conveniently located in the Legends shopping mall, this sandwich spot is a great place for lunch. The seating area is very clean and there are plenty of tables both inside and outside. I always order the half size of the Beach Bikini - I just love the mix of flavors and the sandwich is so fresh. I also think it's great that you can choose to order the half size. My husband ordered the Sunburn hot sandwich during our recent visit and he also loved it and thought the portion size was great. Came here for the second time and ordered the california veggie sandwich. The bread was slightly warm and soft! Veggies were all fresh and the sandwich was honestly put together very well presentation wise. Service was fast and friendly. They brought the sandwiches right out to us and then you throw away your trash when done. They do offer 7 different beers on tap which is a neat surprise. Yummmm! Came here with my four-year-old and was not disappointed. I ordered the Spicolli with turkey, bacon, and melted cheese--so tasty! It took forever to decide because they have a pretty extensive and interesting menu! My little guy ended up eating half of my sandwich and went home telling dad how amazing it was He had his own half peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which came on delicious seeded wheat bread (luckily he shared a few bites with me!). Beach Hut Deli moved into the Legends Mall. It's right across from the Galaxy movie theater. My husband and I split the large Malibu. It was delicious and the bread is made fresh daily by the Truckee river bread company! They have cold and hot sandwich's and a happy hour menu after 3pm to close. A dollar off your beer and some appetizers. The decor is super cute with surfing board tables and palm trees cut out wooden chairs. Big eye catching murals and frisbees plates. His reply, 'pastrami is expensive these days, you ought to research it', I smiled and agreed that things were expensive these days only to be met with a deadpan facial expression indicating that he was serious. I'm not quite sure what his motivation was in his snarky answer/comment to me, but I sure felt uncomfortable. Spending my money at a place who treats the very people who are paying for his salary or supporting his business in this way deserves this bad rating. If you're an avocado lover, this is the place for you! Every time I get a sandwich here, it comes with a thick layer of avocado in perfect condition. That alone merits five stars in my opinion. The sandwich ingredients are always fresh and generous. The bread isn't anything exciting, but it's soft and substantial and it gets the job done. The only changes I'd make would be to offer oil and vinegar as a dressing, and to maybe add a couple more vegetable toppings, like olives. read more
