Peg's has been my favorite breakfast go to for years! Usually we go to the downtown location, but decided to try out the Lemmon location since it is closer to us. I am happy to say quality is spot on! This location is very clean, nice warm diner feel to it. The service as always is fantastic, waitress was very quick and you never run out of coffee. The serving size here is massive! My husband and I always get one plate and split it. You cannot go wrong with Peg's chicken fried steak, it's always super crispy and juicy and huge! As far as classic diners go, Peg's has always been #1 on my list. I have never been to this location before and was pleasantly surprised that it is just as great as the downtown location. Service here is great, and you don't go more than 60 seconds with your surprisingly tasty coffee below 1" full.... This location is super clean, and deceptively large once you come through the front entrance. Food was great, nice thick and rich country gravy, totally crispy chicken fried steak, fluffy eggs, and crispy hash browns. The all you can eat sourdough on the side, also is the bee's knees. So it's been a long minute since I've gone out for breakfast. Let me just say it was well worth the wait. We had some time to kill as the dog was at the groomers and it would be a bit before she would be ready. We were greeted right away and shown to our table. Our server came over right away and offered us drinks. I got coffee and ice water and took a minute to look over the menu as I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted. The coffee was delicious, it had a great flavor. I decided to get the Meat, Lovers Omelette with onions and mushrooms. Had a great brunch date with my sweetie at Peg's. We were seated immediately upon arrival, which was totally unexpected. The booth we sat at though needed some love. MAJOR LOVE! The cushions on both sides were cracked and had holes in them. We found the comfortable zones on each side but this is an indicator of a severe need for updates or repairs to seating that has similar issues. Now the food.... Amazing, as always. The family decided to go to Peg's for a late breakfast. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was busy (not surprising); fortunately, there was a 4-top and a 2-top table by the entrance which our server easily put together to accommodate our 5 person party. The service was good as usual, we got a round drink refills, the food arrived in a timely manner and the portions were large enough that we had leftovers. The food was well-prepared and our entire party enjoyed all their entrees; we ordered the Spam and eggs breakfast, the Hawaiian breakfast, the meat lovers omelette breakfast platter and two people in our party opted for the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast platter. Fred Lee Sr. Would be rolling in his grave... This place is dirty as. The material on the booths is flaking away and there are dirty smudge prints on the pony wall. My fiance ordered a breakfast burrito. She is allergic to eggs and asked the waitress if she could get hash browns in the burrito instead of eggs. The waitress was clearly stressed out and said she had to ask the cook. I looked on as they had a 3 minute conversation at the grille. The waitress returned and said the cook was way too busy to accommodate that request. I then asked if the cook can just put everything on the side and we'll make our own burrito. The waitress said no, the cook was too busy. Mind you, this was Thursday February 27th and there were 4-5 other families in the entire restaurant. I ordered the Hawaiian breakfast which comes with 2 eggs. I asked the waitress out of frustration if i get to choose the style of eggs or will the cook be too busy and give me 2 raw eggs in the shell. She said no, you can choose the style. I said but my fiance cant choose to leave out the egg and add hashbrown because hes too busy?! We finally get our food and the cook had laid the burrito on top on the hashbrowns that we asked to be placed inside. How hard is it to put hashbrowns in the burrito before you wrap it. You can do it just fine if it was eggs, but too busy to place the hashbrowns inside? I honestly thought we were getting pranked. The food itself was disappointing. It lacked flavor and was really greasy. Ive been to the Pegs in Carson City dozens of times and was in shock of how this northwest lemmon restaurant was being run.​ Avoid it until new management takes over and cleans that trash hole up! read more

I want to add to my original review. We have loved Peg' s for years. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal at Peg's, and that includes every one of their locations in town. We've been ordering at this Pegs for Sunday brunch for awhile now (pickup) and not only are the orders always delicious, the service is amazing. The gal they've had answering the phone the last few times we've called is just lovely. Efficient, for sure, but she's always so happy and sweet. She puts me in a good mood when I call. :) And the order is always correct. And I'm just going to say it: Pegs makes the best Belgian waffles I've ever tasted. Crispy, fluffy, and the flavor is perfect. Especially topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum! Restaurants lately have declined so much that going out to eat now has been a crap shoot. Great menu of options. We landed on skillets!! Chili relleno was so good and added some sausage. The real win here are the accompaniments. The ranchero sauce, pico and the coleslaw were standouts for me. The breakfast burrito was so good too. So much food. We needed up taking home enough food for another meal. The pancakes looked delicious as did the waffles and strawberries and cream. $66 out the door for a ton of food. Definitely a repeat when we are in town again. read more

His only thing is he isn't a huge powdered sugar fan... which is sprinkled on top. I went for something different from their Island Menu section. The pork chops were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Be mindful, though... there is a bone on the side. The teriyaki sauce is sweet but not overpowering. While I recognize Covid has made the restaurant business hellish, I can no longer recommend this Pegs location. Food quality has deteriorated (much thinner bacon and tough microwaved biscuit), attention to prep details is gone (eggs not cooked even close to order), and prices have skyrocketed (31$ for juice, bacon and eggs!). Staff was attentive and friendly on my most recent visit but decidedly not on my previous one. I had hoped things would improve with more distance from the worst days of Covid but alas it isn't so. They did not have it on their limited menu. But we definitely saw they had lemons, egg yolk, salt, butter... So I don't think he realized why. True issues begin with the coffee. Cream and sugar they had little containers on the side, and there was about one spoon of sugar so I asked for more sugar. The way to forgot. So I had to ask someone else and I like about 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar in my coffee, yeah I know it's sweet. But during the whole time I had to end up getting four or five containers of sugar. Finally I asked the guy to bring me a full container and again he forgot. Also They forgot the toast for the omelette I had asked for that. What great service and flavorful food! We were seated immediately on a Sunday morning. The vibe is welcoming and decor is modernized local diner. We must have come at a perfect time because after us, there was a line. The menu offers a lot of different dishes including loco moco and huevos rancheros and they offer both breakfast and lunch items. Our waters and coffee were kept full the entire time and were filled before they were even close to being empty. We ordered fast and our food came out in less than 10 mins. My fiancé ordered the home made corn beef hash and it was delicious. He said that the flavor was a great balance of smoky and sweet. Their hash browns were crispy and well seasoned. I usually put hot sauce on them but honestly, they were great as is. I ordered Joe's scramble with ground Turkey and the turkey was very flavorful. Who doesn't love pegs? Everyone loves pegs! Out of all of the locations that they have, this is definitely the best one. I feel as though not a lot of people know about this location, which also makes it the least busiest. I come here on my lunch break often and I and able to get in an out with no problem. Their food is always good, and they have the best hash browns out of all of their locations! They are always cooked to a perfect golden brown and has a nice crisp to it. I also love getting the Hawaiian breakfast dishes here, especially the island pork chops. The rice is perfectly cooked, not mushy or underdone, and the sauce is sweet and savory without being too sweet. The pork chops are tender which is hard to find in a pork chop! I use to love the salmon tacos but sadly, they have been taken off the menu. Here's to hoping that it might come back read more

It's always a great time coming to Peg's! I love the staff and all they do to serve their guests. Making sure refills are given before the glass is empty, checking on their tables and making you feel at home. Today I had the pleasure of being served by Kelsey and Stephanie. Kelsey was our server who took our orders, brought us our drinks and helped bring us our food, and interacted with my family. Stephanie helped bring drinks and our food and took the time to interact with my family as well. My husband and I were very appreciative of the kindness that was shown because not everywhere we have been, have servers been happy to acknowledge our very excited child!
