I hadn't been to this location since I was pregnant with my youngest. My toddler is coming up on his third birthday. It's safe to say it's been a while. Tuna was better than I remembered, and I've almost forgotten about the dry tuna salad at their Longley location. The girl working in the window was very patient and friendly. (The speaker here isn't the best). She mentioned Mustard, and I had to try their seeded mustard on the side. I loved it on my tuna sandwich. Their jalapeño chips are my new favorite. First, they scoop out some of the bread to make it a skinny sub. Good crunch to the exterior of the bread (texture is extremely important). Mayo, avocado spread, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers. You have to ask for oil and red wine vinegar. And a dash of dried basil and oregano mix. Perfect. Update: I was charged for the bread that I ordered online that Melody canceled my order and waived the receipt in front of me while she smirked and told me she's not going to fill this order. Also after I went over the altercation in my head I remembered she wanted me to buy the " day old bread" , I was not interested in the day olds. The 'Freaky Fast' motto has to go!! We all know about their many recalls for sprouts and cucumbers. I try not to discount them for issues with high risk products. But the slow service has been ridiculous! Drive thru times are about 10 minutes from ordering with no other cars ahead. We ordered online for delivery. After 30 minutes of no update on the order tracker, I called to ask for an ETA. I also asked if there was a way to provide ETAs for delivery through the app (prior to ordering) because it would be nice to know what to expect. The associate said 'well I'm telling you now' with a side of attitude. They were shorthanded and only had one driver so maybe another 10 minutes until he leaves. I came with my husband and 2 children, (8 and 8 months). The outside of the restaurant was clean but the trash RIGHT next to some of the seating was too smelly to sit next too. There was no wait at the register, which was nice but the sandwich maker who was running the register for a moment was pissy and rude. He took my order while sucking his teeth and did not take his gloves off to touch the register or to then make my sandwiches. I sent my husband next to order his sandwich after my and my son's order and the attitude from the cashier/sandwich maker did not change. We ordered three sandwiches, 3 chips, three drinks and 1 pickle yet we only got the combo price on one of those and that was when another cashier came up to the register to take over for the sandwich maker. Once we got our food it was good. I got the Vito with no mayo, regular chips and a Dr Pepper. My son got a slim 5 with chips and a bottle of water and my husband got a BLT with chips and a Dr Pepper as well. It was 92 cents, so I was not terribly broken up over it, but it was still almost $3 altogether that we should have saved with combos. The food did come quickly and was quite tasty. The bread was fresh and fabulous and made the whole restaurant smell homey. The music and environment was great and there were not tons of people so it was relaxing. We finished our meal and ordered three cookies to go. I had to nurse my daughter so went to sit in the car but found out she had a soiled diaper so she needed a diaper change. I was more than distressed to find out that there was no changing station in the very large single woman's bathroom! It is 2015, this is a new location, there is no reason in this place or age that there is not a diaper changing station in any place that serves the public. I had to go stand and change a diaper in the pouring rain during a flash flood situation because they didn't have a changing station! Let me say that I will be writing to the company as irritating as that sounds! I do not know exactly what it is, but Jimmy Johns has got me hooked. There sandwiches are so good, with delicious vegs and cold cuts. There bread is so light and fluffy, it does not fill you up at all. I decided to try them for lunch, at there new location in the legends shopping center near target. I ordered the Vito, it comes with salami,pepperoni and ham and all kinds of fresh veggies. There slogan is freaky fast, i went through the drive through and ordered and by the time i got to the window the order was ready in under a minute. That is freaky fast, and it was delicious. In my opinion Jimmy Johns has the other two chain sandwich shops beat hands down. There chips are there own brand and are thick, not to greasy and lightly salted. RIP-OFF!!! I stopped by Jimmy John's on Sparks Blvd. to order a turkey sandwich ($5.99) for lunch. Since the sandwich came on a white sub roll, I asked the cashier if there was any additional cost to have the sandwich made on wheat bread. She told me, "NO." Once the sandwich was being made, she told the total would be $6.98. I told her that tax couldn't be $99 cents. She looked at the cash register and then replied, "I guess the bread was .46 cents extra. I then replied, "I asked you if there was any additional cost for the bread when I was ordering and you told me , NO." She looked at me and shrugged her shoulders (nice, professional response). I looked over the menu and it does not indicate any additional "up-charge" for switching to the wheat bread, rather than getting the white sub roll. Jimmy John's is a RIP-OFF!!! I will never order another sandwich from them, they were not TRUTHFUL with me when I placed my order!!
