    The Thanksgiving Turkey Sub
    Diane P.

I recently had knee surgery and my husband drove me thru the drive-thru to place my order after PT. I decided to have the Thanksgiving Turkey Sub, I ordered a large so we could split it. In my photo, I posted is half of a large sandwich. We chose the White garlic bread didn't really taste the garlic. They told us when we ordered there was a shortage of cranberry sauce, so there was a pinch on the sandwich. It was real turkey and not that press stuff. The sandwich was heated and it was tasty, it really needed the cranberry to make it Thanksgiving. Cost $18.99 for a large specialty sandwich was it worth it? I think I'd try sometime else next time. I highly recommend eating it all and not saving half for the next day. The staff at the drive thru were helpful and nice. The location is easy access. Firehouse is right by my house. We don't normally go there because we have our favorites, but I wanted to try something different.

Firehouse Subs is a fantastic sub shop in Sparks. A local joint where the Food is Excellent, Service was Five Star and ambiance was all about the Fireman, Fire Hoses, And a cool photo of the Sparks Fire Department. A nice wide open restaurant with lots of great Fireman Decor all over. Firehouse Subs has a signature sandwich: The Hook & Ladder.Turkey & Ham, lettuce, tomatoes and deli mustard. I chose Honey mustard. The bread was fresh and the signature drink was Cherry Limeade with real limes you can squeeze into the drink. A pickle slice on the side with Fritos lays corn chips. My choice of chips. Prices were fair. Not over priced! A Five Star lunch experience. A thank you to Manager John and a Big Thank you to Catering Coordinator Megan Hudson for Five Star Outstanding Customer Service. You explained the many sub choices, and how each Sub is served hot. Also a portion of the meal goes back to the local firehouse. I kept your catering menu too! It was truly impressive service. You really love your job and it shows. I also noticed how your staff kept the restaurant clean in between customers. Fantastic! Really great service. All of the Firehouse Sub Team worked together to make every customer's food hot and served fast and also welcomed them into the restaurant. This was a very great dining experience at Firehouse Subs in Sparks in the Iron Horse Shipping Center off Prater. Check them out. This was my first time here! Thanks Carl for introducing Firehouse Subs to me today! I will be back again soon, with my family. Julie A

Tried there new French Dip. It was delicious, but they forgot the au jus that was supposed to be on the side.... So that was a little disappointing. Other than that, my sandwich was ordered online and ready for pick up on time.

Spicy cajun chicken sandwich; it's their Thursday lunch special of the day for $8.99 for a medium size.

Lunch date with my son after a long day of running errands. Hot sandwiches and soup are always good for the soul on a cooler day. Service was good, we didn't wait long for food at all. Their uncharges for a little more turkey isn't justified in my opinion. Your subs are on the pricier side. I wouldn't mind the price so much if there was more meat. The meatball sub was more sauce than meatballs. My son liked it with a little sauce on the side. The chicken dumpling soup was salty, but adding a little water helped.

They even told me this price would be a "steal"

Prices are already sky high. I found an amazing deal online for basically half off two combos. The app said mobile ordering wasn't available. I went inside to ask and they told me they only had one oven working and shut down mobile ordering so they didn't get too busy. Pretty convenient, considering today is the last day for this awesome deal. I'm predicting they'll have it running again tomorrow, when the half price deal is gone. Shady business practice to avoid lower profit

Firehouse subs give you bang for the buck. A large sandwich is easily enough for 2 people. If you are a fan of meatball subs, this is the place. They are delicious, loaded with a good balance of marinera and meatballs that are seasoned just right. For a little added kick order it with pepperoni. There is one lady that offers a cup for ice water while you wait for a to-go order, which is great touch. Service and consistency have been good. I have tried the Steak & Cheese (Philly), Beef & Cheddar Brisket, Spicy Chicken, and the NY Steamer. Most were pretty good but I tend to gravitate back to the meatball. They have a rewards program with promotions like double points or free sub if your name starts with a G. The only thing better than a good sub is a free sub.

Drive up at FireHouse subs. Driving through the expect a tip. What do you think? Tip jar just in the area you can see it.

But, if there was a little extra time available, I'd try to find a "real" restaurant in the vicinity to eat at. Didn't happen as often as I would've liked, but I made do. I've tried multitudes of fast food places because of those circumstances...nothing was really to my liking...especially the "major" fast food chains...you know which ones I'm referring to. Then I tried In N Out while touring through California!! OMG! I loved it! Smiling, friendly employees, clean establishments, great customer service...and still fast. (Pro tip: if the drive thru is jam packed? Park and go inside) Always made fresh and to order... Once I learned the "secret menu", that was the kicker for me! (https://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu) To be able to customize my burger in any way I wanted it at a "fast food" restaurant? Blew my mind! This is the ONLY "fast food" that I'll seek out... There's lots of debate as to their fries and their shakes. I like the shakes, but only get one once in a while...not a fan of the fries...but, I don't eat a lot of fries anyway... My go to? 2x3, Animal style, no pickles, no tomatoes, add hot peppers. Always delicious! Even though the price has increased over the years, I still feel that it's well worth it. You should try it to see what YOU think!

The owner of Ruby Shake Shop routinely parks his Audi in the limited public street parking spaces along South Virginia Street directly in front of Raising Cane's, Ike's Love & Sandwiches, and the surrounding businesses. Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.
