I only came here because I wanted something to eat and didn'thave much time. I was looking for a healthy option, so I ordered a Chicken Salad. I was so disappointed!!! Not because of the poor quality, but because they didn'teven have the decencia to make sure the Chicken was thawed completely. I couldn'tbelieve they would serve something like this. I can understand this is a Sandwhich place, but if you're going to have Salad on the menu, it should be given the same attention a Sandwhich gets. My first time here. I haven't had a pastrami sandwich in decades and I suddenly wanted one as I was driving by this location so I popped in. The 4" was $10 but the 8" was only $3 more. If I'd known how good it was I'd have bought the 8" and taken half home. My favorite pastrami sandwiches were always the ones where they kept the pastrami hot in juice and it got super tender. But here they just grill it. I was SUPER HAPPY at how perfectly tender it was and WITHOUT FAT. Great flavor! Normally I just want pickle and mustard but I ordered it with the slaw and dressing and added pickle and mustard. It was very good but next time I'll stick with my normal extra pickle and mustard and ask for the slaw on the side because I do not want to miss out on the slaw. It's delicious! I absolutely love Capriotti's and have been coming here for a long time, both this location and the location in Reno close to UNR. Their bread, ingredients and the sandwiches themselves are excellent! I especially love the Capistrami and the Hot Bobby, both very fresh and delicious choices. I miss their bbq salad that they served with a fresh gorgonzola blue cheese and their slightly spicy italian sausage sandwich. Anything on their menu is excellent and can't be beat. The bacon was crispy, the chicken was well seasoned, and it had the perfect ratio of veggies for my liking. The place got super busy with a line out the door at the lunch hour so be prepared to wait. I'm not sure why this is three stars. We ordered the classic cheesesteak with sweet peppers, large fries and a bag of BBQ chips and aus jus. My aunt and I completely demolished our 8 inch sandwich and my mom left half for later. The seasoning and meat were spot on and the bread was soft and tasty. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the chips tasted exactly like the baby back sauce on the ribs. The service was so nice. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we recover everything we ordered. The place was packed, but there are a few tables and seating around the walls for those who want to dine inside. If I can give this 0 stars I would. I am so disappointed. This is suppose to be the Balsamic Chicken Salad. Where is the chicken and Feta Cheese and green lettuce. This is all shredded lettuce with a sprinkle of cranberries with little walnuts. The walnuts is stalled. I do not know what changed at this location. My favorite go to sandwich is the Bobbie. It's their take on the ultimate Thanksgiving meal all in a sandwich. Inside is shredded turkey, delicious stuffing, and cranberry sauce. You can get this sandwich either hot or cold but my preference would be to get it warm. Store is clean. Business offers dine in, take out, mobile order pick up and delivery. Get the perks and download the rewards app. Earn points and get discounts! It's worth it. Downside about the franchise is the staff. It seems like every store I go to, the staff come off as unfriendly or doesn't make eye contact. It comes off as unwelcoming. read more

I met up with a retired coworker today and informed him I have a coupon on the Capriotti's app for buy one, get one free. Perfect to sit down and talk over a sandwich. I walk in, and a young Hispanic male is working the cash register. An older Hispanic male, Juan E., told the cashier something in Spanish as I walked up. Once at the register, I presented the Capriotti's app and showed the cashier the coupon. Juan E tells me that the coupon is only for a small sub. I asked him to show me where it says that. Juan E then tells the cashier in Spanish to only do a small sub for the coupon and nothing else. Juan E failed to realize I am bilingual and fluent in Spanish, so I knew exactly what he said. Juan E then proceeded to go to the back office and get another employee, a young white male. The employee from the back glanced at the coupon and said, "Oh yeah, that's for a small." And walks off, clearly took Juan's word. I asked the cashier to have him come back out here. He returns this time, looking at the coupon, and tells the cashier, "He can use that coupon on any size he wants." Then he looks at me and says, "My bad." And walks off again. Whatever that means. Never would've thought that trying to use their app in their business would be such an issue. read more

Husband swung by and brought some sandwich's home for us he got the pastrami with coleslaw which was very good my little got the meatball which was delicious and I ordered the turkey which was not good it was super dry! I love the simplicity of a good sandwich place! They are usually fast and friendly. To save time if I'm headed out or back to work I'll order to go online here and just pop in to pick up. My favorites here are their Cappastrami and the Bobbie. Who doesn't love Thanksgiving in a sandwich? It's the first thing I make with leftovers from Thanksgiving. Here I can order that all year long! When I don't order a Bobbie, it's the Cappastrami. Let me tell you about the Cappastrami, I would never think to add cole slaw and dressing to a sandwich, but since I have my tasebuds we're overwhelmed with this heavenly combination. I've dined in this location a few times. It's a small dining room with only a few low tables and a bar seating. My only suggestion is a few more lower tables and T.L.C. in the restrooms. read more

Was recommended trying this place out for a bigger sandwich at a cheaper price... I got the large Bobbie and it was good.... I think I would have liked it heated up a lil bit better. The bread was super soft and it had a good ratio of meat, stuffing,cranberry. It didn't take but a few minutes to get so I was surprised at how fast they were. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Review is long overdue. We've been ordering from Capriottis over the last 2 years via DoorDash (with my company's DoorDash credits) The people that work at this location CARE. My husband and I leave multiple notes on our orders to make sure we don't get soggy bread or to add extra ingredients and they more than deliver. Most notably I usually get a meatball sub but dont want the bread to be soggy so they throw the marinara on the side (it's like an Italian French dip). Last night we ordered the BLT with double bacon and wanted the veggies on the side so it wasn't soggy. They ALSO put the mayonnaise on the side AND omg they were SO GENEROUS about that double bacon. There wasn't enough room to add the mayonnaise or veggies back in I was sweating bacon fat a quarter of the way through. Please keep that on the menu. Please. So good. Just saw they were opening another location on Los Altos, closer to where we live. Hope the people there care just as much as the crew at this location. Absolutely our favorite and ONLY sandwich shop we patron in the area. read more

My letter to corporate using their online contact form to explain my situation is below. Received an email stating they would follow up within two business days. By day 3 I have not had a response from them, so reached out again and nothing. The last time I reached out to them I advised if I didn't hear back, I would dispute the charge with my bank. Again, nothing from them, so I did contact my bank to dispute the charge. "Hi, I just placed this order on your app using the Free Combo Add-on promo. As instructed in the fine print, I ordered a sandwich and selected "make it a combo" to add the chips and drink. When I went to check out, my total was $13.24, but as soon as I selected "place order", the total changed to $19.06. I called the location and asked if they would be able to apply the coupon manually when I picked up my order and was told they would not be able to. I then asked him to cancel my order and was told he had to ask his manager. I could hear her replying in the background, but could not make out her words over all the other noise and I asked if I could just speak to her directly. When she got on the phone with me, I asked her if I could tell her what happened, but she spoke over me and told me she could not cancel the order, but I can try calling customer service to have it cancelled. When I again tried to explain the situation with the coupon, she told me she was too busy trying to get orders out and at that point I gave up and said I would just call customer service. This is not the first time I have had issues with this location, but have given them grace as it only opened a couple of months ago. The previous issues were issues with the order not being correct or long wait times, but nothing that cost me money. However, now that I'm being ripped off, I'm done with them. This is a shame, because the food was decent, especially in an area that until recently, didn't have an abundance of take out choices. We have been meaning to go to Capriotti's for years, but we live in Sparks and just never got there. So, when we saw Capriotti's was opening on Los Altos in Sparks, we bee-lined to it, and are glad we did. We used the app to fill our order for pickup. The app is a bit difficult to navigate and the promised discount didn't work. When we mentioned it to staff, they promised to give us the discount at our next visit. We each ordered a small sized Classic Italian cold sub and a large bag of chips. Not only were the sandwiches delicious, they are huge. Our "small" sandwich turned into both a lunch and a dinner meal. The large bag of chips is enough for two people to share. Speaking of chips, Capriotti's uses a brand I never had before: Herr's. They are delicious! But if you order the Cheddar Horseradish potato chips, be forewarned that they are super hot, which we love, but many people can't tolerate. (I found them hot, and that is from a person that smothers my pizza in jalapeños and red peppers...) So while I will probably always get Cheddar Horseradish potato chips, they are probably not for everyone. Our order was ready when we got there. Staff were efficient and nice. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and modern. A nice ambiance for a sandwich shop. We plan to dine in on a future visit. We recommend you give them a try! read more

This location has the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. I order for my company, and we spend $100's of dollars a month. I normally do not pick up food, but this day we were shorthanded and I needed to pick up the food. I placed my order online as I always do. I ordered 4 large cheesesteaks (all exactly the same). I wrote in the special instructions box "please cut 1 sandwich into 8 pieces and the other 3 can be just cut in half. I also ordered another large sandwich and 4 large orders of fries. My order was close to $200 after I tipped 15% for them to do their job (which I terribly regret). I ordered at 10 AM for a 12 PM pick. Plenty of time to prepare the order. When I arrived, they said the order was completed and I proceeded to watch the women try to package it for almost 10 min. I was so confused as to why there were so many small packages. I was getting concerned that the fries were sitting getting cold and she finally puts 2 plastic shopping bags on the counter. I asked, did you cut all of the sandwiches and wrap them separately? The women at the register, which I am pretty sure was a manager leans over and in a nasty tone said, "that is what the ticket said" and she walked away and refused to speak to me or acknowledge me. Everyone acted as if I did not exist. I looked at the ticket on the sandwiches, and it clearly stated to cut 1 only and nothing said to wrap them separately. I also received 11 packages, and I can't figure out how that equals out to 4 sandwiches. I feel like I was shorted at least 1 sandwich. Had they just spoke to me, I would have accepted the error and had no issue. I also placed a separate order for ranch, and I tried to ask if that was in the bags, and again no one would speak to me. It was a complete mess. I would never spend another penny in a place that treats customers with such disrespect. I then talked to my employee that normally picks up the food, and he said he has had similar issues at this location. He is the nicest, happiest person who has no issues with anyone, so when I heard that I knew we had to stop our business with them. We love the food, so I will be giving my business to another location that is not affiliated with this one. I am so sad that this behavior is accepted and allowed to continue and that I have been tipping these people 15% every time I order. The place was not very big with only 3 tables but against the wall, a bar table with chairs. We ordered the med classic cheesesteak with a drink. Our sandwich was ready in less than 10 minutes. The employee even delivered it to our table and asked if we needed anything else. He was very sweet. My husband and I split the sandwich, which it was plenty big to do so. It was steaming hot and so good! I had to keep blowing at it before taking a bite. It was so much better than I thought it would be. The absolute best sandwich spot ever! I've been coming to Capriotti's for years and it never gets old. Everyone is so friendly and the food is to die for, especially the cheese steaks. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. My go to every time is the wagyu cheese steak add hot peppers, sweet peppers and I believe it already comes with onions and mushrooms. Delicious. You have to add the peppers, it makes it so much better. And what I love to do is dip my cheese steak into their tomato bisque. The best combination in the world. Today I placed my order at 1:37 for a Capastrami well done. I sat for over 30 minutes watching other people receive their orders before I did that ordered after me. I decided I would just ask for a refund instead of waiting any longer for my food. I was told your food is coming off the grill right now so I continued to wait. I didn't get my sandwich until 213 and I grabbed my sandwich hurried out the door then find that the meat had been sitting for so long that it no longer was hot. The bun was stale. There was hardly any sauce or coleslaw on it so the sandwich dry. I saw four employees, hardly any customers, and not one mention when I place my order that they may have been running behind and I would have to wait. They let me sit there for 30 minutes why my sandwich sat on the counter for 15 minutes and I have video and I have all the proof and it's not once not twice you cannot walk into the Los Altos store and not be there for less than an hour. They have six employees and they care more about Uber and everybody that wrote in on an app what's wrong with taking care of the local customers that walk in with cash? You can't go wrong with a Bobbie from Capriotti's! I usually always order ahead online at this location as they get very busy during lunch time. The timing is always spot on and I am able to go in and out. This recent visit I was on my way home so decided to pop in as it was early enough to not be too busy. The ladies at the counter were welcoming and kind. My sandwich came out super fast and as usual, tasted fantastic. The prices are extremely reasonable (subs for $7-12) but I think the execution just wasn't there this time. I ordered the Grilled Italian which I assumed would be one of their specials, but this was a soggy, no good crushed mess of a sub. The paper was completely drenched in oil and the bread felt like it was dipped in liquid.
