The idea of this place is amazing. A little taste of all types of places around the world found in the smallest big city. This place is gorgeous inside and has so much character. You can tell the owner put heart and soul into every little thing that went into this business. This isn't a spot where the flavors are lackluster or an idea of a dream of the actual flavor. The flavors blend beautifully and are very well done. I had the Seoul Train burrito and a cherry Girl Scout shake. I can say the burrito had a ton of flavor that brought me back to the small Korean mom and pop I used to frequent in Cali. It was texturally balanced not all mush! All the pieces that form this burrito was well thought out and they did not skimp! This thing was huge and very filling. The shake was phenomenal. I'll definitely be back to have a taste of their other menu items! Heavily recommend this amazing spot to diversify your palate! Amazing service, Get a MF BURRITO

This is an interesting concept. They have a handful or so of different dishes that can be ordered as a burrito, bowl or salad. You self order and they bring your food to you. The items all looked good. I ordered the Korean bowl and a lemonade. The prices are as expected but the portions seemed smaller than I was anticipating. The flavor was good but the rice was a weird texture, almost old rice heated up with water. The lemonade was pretty good. We may try it again and see if it's a similar experience. Lots of seating so don't have to worry about that. Also it's self bussing.

Finally came in to try this place and it's so cute inside. Location is central. They have a lot of variety and make burritos, bowls and salads for all items on the menu and have international inspired dishes. I tried the Akeem the dream as a burrito and it was really good!! It's a melt your face off kind of dish though so I wish it had a little more peanut taste and slightly less spicy heat. My husband tried the Havana as a bowl and that was also really good! It had barely any mofongo and a lot of beans so the portion was also a little off but great ingredients and idea. We also tried a Girl Scout cookie milkshake and it was soo good and a Thai basil turmeric lemonade and it was amazing. Can't wait to try more stuff on the menu. The service was very good too, people are very nice and helpful

My yelp elite goal this year was to try new spots so today we decided to try out MF and I got to meet Eddie the Manager and Jason one of the owners and cook. We had the special the Patty pig burrito since St Patrick's Day is around the corner which had very unique flavors. I look forward to going back and trying a signature burrito. No beer on tap, but they have unique can beers to choose from. The beer of champions was my favorite. I'm looking forward to the Triple D episode airing on March 27. It's so cool Guy Fieri came to Reno and filmed our hometown restaurants. If you're in the area drop in and try a Salad, Wrap (burrito) or bowl!

What a unique and impressive restaurant concept. You are greeted upon entering and given instructions on different ways to order and that each meal comes either as a salad, burrito, or bowl. I got an Athena bowl which is kind of like a gyro, but with a variety of flavors and heat that I haven't tasted anywhere else. Service was fast and really pleasant. Will absolutely come back again even if I live on the other side of Reno.

I've been twice now and have really enjoyed the food! The quality of ingredients is what really shines and the abundance of flavor! I love that there is a constant special of the month that supports local non profits and some beers you can drink in house. The service is basically counter service and the temperatures of our bowls have been hit and miss but overall we have enjoyed and will keep coming back

wanted to try this place since they moved from their former downtown location at the old Mellow Fellow, which had a charm all its own so we finally had the chance to experience their new space. Stepping in on a Saturday afternoon, we found the atmosphere surprisingly serene; for a while, we essentially had the entire place to ourselves. The interior design is nice and welcoming, offering ample seating and a vibe that makes you want to linger. as you walk in the right side has a wall of their menu items, so we decided on a diverse spread to get a true feel for the menu: The Papa Yaya Wrap, The Chilango Bowl,The New York Bowl One minor hurdle we encountered was during the ordering process. We attempted to customize our meal by adding "grilled peppers" (an ingredient featured on a different menu item) to our order. However, the house policy is quite strict: no substitutions or additions are permitted. While this ensures consistency for the kitchen, it's worth noting for those like myself who prefer a more bespoke dining experience. The food itself is the concept of cool pairings from different countries gives the menu a refreshing diversity, and the flexibility to turn any signature item into either a bowl or a wrap is a fantastic touch. The Papa Yaya Wrap: The flavors here were genuinely impressive. However, the execution was a bit uneven--the chicken was concentrated on one side, leaving several bites that were more tortilla than filling. There was also a distinct "fish forward" note in the sauce that stood out. To kick things up, they provided a house spicy sauce that tasted like a clever twist on Cholula; it added a perfect, necessary heat. The Bowls: Both the Chilango and New York bowls were flavorful, though they suffered from a common ratio issue. The base of rice was quite heavy compared to the protein. While the taste was excellent, the portions felt a bit skewed for the price point. The staff member who assisted us was absolutely stellar--personable, professional, and attentive. Despite the rigid policy on modifications, the service remained a high point of the visit as he recommended the spicy sauce. The foundation here is strong: the flavors are bold and the concept is unique. If they can balance the protein-to-carb ratios or perhaps offer an option for "double meat," it would truly elevate the value to match the premium quality of the ingredients.

The burritos here slap! Tried the Chilango, the Marley, and Garros de Gallo burritos. They're all very unique and flavorful in their own right. Can't seem to go wrong with any of the burritos. Their tortillas are exceptional! I also tried the Yaya bowl. It looked beautiful upon arrival and I was excited to dig in. I did like the tangy papaya salad, it gives good flavor. But The downside for me was their rice to protein ratio was way off. I thought I saw lots of chicken but when I dug in I realized it was mostly peanuts... Don't be afraid of that protein fellas, if there were chunks of chicken on there it would have been a game changer!

I was craving a salad tonight, so I looked up "salad" and MF International popped up. As I entered, I was greeted warmly by staff as well as by the chef and co-owner, Jason. He went through and explained the menu items. Jason and staff are very friendly! I was intrigued by the Zepplin. I wanted to try it as a salad, but I was reminded that this dish has steamed rice. I tried it as a bowl instead. It was served fast and boy, it was delish! All those Lithuanian flavors came together nicely. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside while pillowy on the inside. I enjoyed every bite. Casual atmosphere. I joined their rewards program because I will return!

Great chef. Wish we lived closer as we would come every week or more often. Duck noodle soup was simply incredible. What a rich broth and perfectly cooked duck. It was so hard to choose from the different dishes, as either a burrito or a bowl. We had bowels. I think I had the Yama Yama? A Thai dish. Wife had the Athena with perfect cups cous and perfectly cooked lamb. So much great flavor. Worth the trip. Need to work our way through the menu.

First, their GRAND OPENING is on Saturday 20 September and they told me it'll be buy one get one half off burritos! Tried the chilengo burrito, and was impressed! Big chunks of chicken (maybe too big, as they were a bit hard to bite through), and loaded with rice, lettuce, beans, cheese, and sauce. They offer burritos with international flair, bowls, salads, and more! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and their excitement and positivity about being newly open was infectious! The interior was comfortable and decorated in such a cool style!

    Daffy Bowl
    Mike S.

Stopped in here for dinner the other night. It is located where Black Rock Pizza used to be. This is like a fast casual gourmet fusion place serving burritos, bowls (burrito without the tortilla) and salads. Order at the counter, get drinks from the fountain and wait for your food. I ordered the Daffy Bowl and a duck noodle soup The soup came out first. The broth was flavorful. The noodles were a bit underdone. There was no duck meat in the soup. The Daffy Bowl was amazing and a perfect example of the fusion here. Making a burrito or a bowl and using duck instead of chicken, pork or beef isn't fusion. But using fried rice with duck skin cracklings, black beans, duck and basically the veggies from a Bahn Mi sandwich takes fusion to another level! All of their meals are like this. The Daffy was so good I'll probably order it a dozen more times before I try anything else! The staff was friendly and conscientious. I really hope they do well and prosper here. The only thing that could make this place perfect for me would be whiskey and/or Guinness on tap.

We finally got to eat here. We were there right as they opened, so had the place to ourself the ask as many questions as we wanted. I ordered the Greek wrap and my husband got the Cuban something or other. I tasted his, and it was so good with the mustard on it. But my wrap was amazing. I love hot and cold food mixed into one wrap. The flavors were awesome, and I would definitely order it again. The place looks nice. It has plenty of seating, and the employee we dealt with was awesome. I asked about a poster of Guy Fieri, and this restaurant is going to be on Diners, drive inns, and dives. I cannot wait to watch it, and hear what he says about some of the dishes.

The porky ribs have potential but It was too lightly drizzled when it needed to be drowned in that sweet and tangy sauce. It was also cooked rather dry on the exterior but the interior was nicely juicy and tender. The bulgogi bowl was actually spicy pork instead of beef. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. The tofu soup was solid. It hit all the right spots and was comfort food personified. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall, I am sure there are other items that might hit the spot and I would love to return and try a selection of entrees another time. The menu is full of cups of meat and not found at the other KBBQ restaurant and generally speaking quality is there on all of it. We enjoyed the birthday celebration here the other night, and discovered a few new favorites, including the pork GALBI, which is delicious, sweet, tender cuts of lean pork marinated in the sweet sowing which grows up wonderfully and delivers a nice char. I also am a huge fan of the Sydney slice of beef tongue that cooks chicken. Did that in a little bit of sesame oil salt or add a bit of the seasoning spice from your condiment tray and throw that in lettuce or radish wrap, and you are set. They also offer a couple of specialty cuts at dinner only like the thousand stripe and premium GALBI, which is a crosscut beef short rib. I personally think their short rib is the best in town as it comes out nicely marinated and extremely tender with just the right amount of fat versus some of the others that I've tried which have a substantial amount of fat versus meat. There was also a specialty cut of fatty pork that I cannot remember the Korean Nemo, but that took a long time to cook, even though it was in sliced, but then result was this delightfully crispy piece of meat that could be eaten on its own or added to another wrap that you were creating and was quite enjoyable. The reason for decreasing into four stars is just service. That's where the other KBBQ has this place beat. Part of a we were seated at two tables right next to each other and for some reason, it seemed one table received more attention than the other and after a point it seemed that the server just stopped coming back altogether, and they also forgot items multiple times throughout the meal left water glasses on filled and didn't clear place on the act. Normally not a big deal but you're consuming so much as a larger party and you're dealing with brought meat. You are putting your diners at risk for not helping to make sure that we maintain a clean and sanitary dining experience. Even to the end of the meal, the server did not come back to see if we wanted to order more food or bring us a check and I had to get up and go to the front to ask for it. Lastly, I was shocked that they did not have any hot sake in the restaurant to order nor did they offer any type of dessert either included or for purchase. We came to celebrate a birthday and can't be the only people that stop here for special occasions, so I would assume that there are people that want that when they're dying here and it was just surprising to hear that. Again, this is a great Korean barbecue spot and then I will certainly return to you and hope that the service experience improved so that the dining experience overall is that much better.

The kimchi stew is INCREDIBLE, and I enjoyed the banchan a lot. Depending on where you sit, either a server or robot cart with a cute face will deliver your food and drink. I'm generally anti-robot, but these are adorable! The ambiance is nice, but prepare to get pretty smoky. They do a great job of swapping grills often to prevent some of this, but smoke happens.
