Toro Do Oro in Sparks is such a fun spot. The tacos are absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and worth the stop on their own. The baked goods were good, though the selection was a little on the smaller side. That said, roaming the aisles is half the fun. I loved browsing and discovering new items to grab along the way. Great vibe, great food, and a place I'll definitely be back to.

Love the market but the prices are high! The bakery seems to have dropped off a bit, quality & selection are really hot or miss. The last time I came to the hot case for food items, I was shocked that a male employee literally PUSHED in front of the female employee that was helping me to grab the last few decent chicharróns carnudos that she was *obviously* getting for me. Bagged them for someone else while making eye contact with me. Like some petty brother and sister shit. Who pushes in front of another employee? I ordered 3 tacos from the food counter and the tripas were GROSS. Inedible. Tasted like liver so I know that means they were dirty caca. Straight to the garbage can.

This place right here is a great Latino market! Has great cuts of meat for all your needs. We usually grab meat here for throwing asada on the grill and each time we're never disappointed! The bakery is great as well has fresh bread, conchas and other sweets! But my favorite part is the tacos they make there. It's surprisingly some of the best tacos I've had in Reno and Sparks! The meat tastes great no matter what choice you make for your tacos! The fish tacos they serve here are awesome as well, they taste like what you'd expect at a sit down restaurant not a market. Prices here aren't bad at all too for the great quality of cooked food you're getting. The service is always friendly and there's even a handful of tables if you choose to stop in for some fresh tacos or tortas! You won't be disappointed giving this store a chance next time you crave tacos that's for sure. Gotta be one of my favorite spots easily.

Very disappointed. We paid $82.43 for tamales and chicharrons. The tamales were mostly masa. No flavor at all. The chicharrons were so hard that I had to throw them out. For that price I expected at least edible food. Definitely will never go back and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Whether you wanna stop in and get quick food at the deli or get fresh meats at the market to cook on your grill, this is the place. The aisles are very narrow and it gets busy so just be aware of that going in . The staff has been perfect on every visit. The Al pastor and chicken Carnitas from the meat department are my number one thing to bring home and put on the Blackstone. Just pure perfection.

This was my second visit to this store. It's way better than Marketon. This store was clean and well organized. Good selection of stuff. They have a nice deli that I tried today. The staff there were very friendly and the service was fast. I ordered an asada burrito to go from the deli. For a deli place, this burrito was better than a lot of burritos from Mexican restaurants. The meat had a good sear flavor to it. It was filled with rice, beans and pico de gallo. It was a good size burrito too. I got a cannoli from their baked goods section. It was sweet and flaky. Yummy. They had so many other pastries in their case. I'll try another pastry on my next visit. They had a nice meat section. I got some asada taco meat. They had different cuts of meat and sausages to choose from. This is my new favorite place!

7/10/2024- I was in the area heading back, and impulsively stopped in... Lucky because both my boys enjoy Mexican food.. Even though I wasn't hungry, I didn't want to leave without getting the carne asada tacos.. Also picked up some carnitas and beans.. of course pan dulce.. Tacos were good, but a little hard on the carne asada.. not like before, where it was super tender. My creative oldest, had made these bite size nigiri.. with carnitas.. yes carnitas and Kimchee.. so that is why I needed the meat.. Taste tested the carnitas.. Wow..! full of flavor-! The pan dulce - a bite of the pig- was hard and dry.. Glad I stopped....

New Taco Tuesday try. We were here based on Yelp recommendations and they didn't let us down. Before the food comments the market was very nice as well though we only bought the chicharrones. Great selection of fresh meats, salsas and dry goods. Very clean. We ordered a couple of asada tacos, birria quesadilla and a replenish. Tacos were good - not out of this world but good. The quesadilla was expensive and not really worth it. Flavor was good but not for the additional price. Telli I was the star of the night, great crust, cheese combo and flavor. Really nice. All in all a very good meal, just not over the top. Will definitely go here for fresh meat, products in the future and probably get food to go again.

This market has pretty much anything you need, plus a little bakery and restaurant. Definitely some of the best tacos around! I am weirded out by breaded fish and shrimp since you can't actually see what you're eating. But I put that all aside for the fish tacos and shrimp tacos at TdO. So wonderful, so flavorful and delicious! Must try even if you're a weirdo like me.

I know I have left reviews for the Taqueria in here. But I have to leave this one again. My daughter and I went there last week and ordered the Carne Asada fries. I got mine well done. I like to keep those fries crispy. Well, get ready, because I'm gonna hand out the all-time greatest award. Those were the single best Carne Asada fries I ever had in my life. WOW!They were incredible. At $15, you can bet there's enough for two. Maybe even enough for three. But I am telling you, if you want to go to your Carne Asada fry Nirvana. This is the place. Well done Toro!

Toro de Oro Latino Supermarket is worth going to browse and perhaps buy a few items you may know, but have never tried. To be fair to all consumers some items are over priced and may be available in most local supermarkets. We loaded up on the bakery items, .spicy longaniza sausage, Victoria beer (one of my favorites), green enchilada sauce, chicharrones, and dry Morita chiles. They also have a meat section full of Latino meat favorites. This visit, I passed on the taco bar close to the entrance. The supermarket has been a great addition to Sparks, specifically, the Latino community for those hard to get items. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms, friendly staff.

I have been here three times before posting this review. The selection is great and the food is really good. They have items I have never found before. It's clean and the staff is friendly. I'm happy to have this business in Sparks. I'm excited to be able to take something home that is authentic and tasty without all the prep. too. The meats for tacos , tamales and ceviche are favorites.

It was a thin white chocolate shell filled with whipped cream and lemon curd. The lemon curd was good. I wanted more lemon because it tasted mostly like whipped cream. The blackberry cupcake didn't have enough blackberry flavor, but the texture was good. The frosting was far too sweet and detracts from the cupcake. The carrot cake was the worst of the three. The cake wasn't spiced enough and was too dense, probably from a sugar soak. The frosting was terrible. If it was cream cheese, we couldn't taste it at all because of how sweet it was.
