Al pastor left, asada far right.

New sensation Monday #supportlocal Decided to try out @tortasebenezer on Prater Way and it was a score! The Cubano was a huge Torta that got me lifting my leg in a happy dance. Add jalapenos and this thing delivers about 8 flavors of meats, egg, cheese, avocado. Had all the foodgroups except for chicken! Also tried the tacos, Al Pastor was good. The asada is ground beef instead of chipped steak, but also had a good flavor profile. Washed it down with a nice horchata and went back to the jungle of work. Next trip the Hawaiin Torta is my target.

Craving tacos but also trying to switch it up a bit? Come get a torta from here. Fresh, soft baked bollilo roll, Topped with your choice of meat, slathered in mayo and avocado, and served with fresh veggies and pickled jalapeños. Truly the perfect bite. I got the carnitas, which was absolutely amazing, with the contrast of rich fatty pork and soft bread and fresh veggies. I almost considered driving back and getting another one because it was THAT GOOD. The girl working the drive they said her favorite is the Hawaiian though, I just wasn't in the mood for pineapple. I also got a papaya milkshake and it was so fresh and creamy, it really complimented the sandwich nicely. They also recommend if you're in a rush to call your order in ahead of time since they make everything to order. But even without doing that, I was in an out of the drive they within 10 minutes or so. This is definitely a must try, and if this is your first torta, this is an excellent place to start!

We live in Sparks near some of the best Mexican food around, lucky us! This cute corner drive thru location has seen a few shops come & go, but Tortas Ebenezer caught my eye recently. I am TORTA-lly in love with these sammies! I know the old rule of thumb says never eat anything bigger than your head...but I say come hungry and go for it! I ordered a Milaneza, which has thin breaded strips of milanesa steak, and a Alambre, which is turbo charged Mexican cheesesteak-ish. Both were amazingly good, and surprisingly neat enough to eat in the car in spite of their piled-high construction. The bread, a pillowy soft bolillo roll, is the foundation of these sammies. Layers of goodness, smashed beans, queso fresco, lettuce & tomatoes, avocados, jalapenos...all the things that are good! The high school nearby means tons of teens during lunch hour, so plan accordingly. Theres a little patio for dining in, but as ice only used the drive-thru, my only complaints are that the menu itself offers no explanation of what ingredients are in the sammies, and that 1 of the jammies I ordered seemed a rogue mix of ingredients...a random slice of ham, and no lettuce, for example. Still good, just a little confusing. Great drive thru eats, or a shaded place to sit on a warm day with a Mexican Coca-cola. Check out these giant tummy tortas, and just pretend your head is smaller than your sammie!

So the pics i saw on yelp looked amazing and thought id try it out. I got a steak and egg burrito had beans and sour cream. I said no to jalepeno and chipotle. But it was just bland. The home fries were ok but seems to be covered in season salt which im not a fan. It took about 7 min to get order completed. The strawberry water was a bit tart which is ok i went home and added sugar. I will go back again and try something else. Matbe it was an off day.

    Combinada torta

That was a great sandwich. I got the combinada torta. (See attached photo). Very nice family running shop.

I used the website and placed the order with ease, we paid and it stated the order would be ready at 2:50 pm. At 2:49 I got a text stating the order was ready. Order Cuban on oregano parm bread Trip tip with blue cheese add mayo, slaw on the side on jalapeno cheese bread. The order was picked up with ease, arrived at the house at 3:45. The sandwiches were much larger than expected, and were still nice and warm. Opened the bag to find each sandwich was wrapped and clearly labeled. The herb flavors were present in the Cuban, the pickles were mighty tasty offsetting the fat, and the vinegar in mustard tied it all together and the warm fresh crusty bread... OHHHHH MYYYYY!!! Greatttttt sandwhich! Jalapeno cheese bread with trip tip was MF FIRE !! I'd never imagine blue cheese and trip tip with jalapeno and spinach. Wowwwww it worked.. let's talk quality... quality aromatic blue cheese with a nice punch to it.. it almost melted into the bread!! The perfectly large chunks of wilted spinach from the heat of the meat, and the breaddddddddddddddd.. salty, slightly spicy from the jalapeno ... WOW NEW FAVORITE!! While…read morewaiting for our order to be made, I was watching them making sandwiches and burritos diligently , grilling burritos on the panini griller. They had a lot of orders that they were trying to get out, but this one person accidentally put possibly mayo on a sandwich, turned around with the piece of bread in his hand, which I couldn't see what he did with it, but it was kind of wiped off, so I don't know if he scraped it on something, but he did not use a knife in my view to take it off then he took a towel to it, wiped it off and then put it on the grill for 10 seconds and then he put the correct spread on it. Now... What if that person was grossed out by mayo or allergic to something in the mayo. It would've been just as easy to get a fresh roll. That kind of grossed me out. I'm glad it wasn't ours. I have to wonder what that towel was used on. It wasn't a fresh towel. It was crumbled up. That has not sat well with me since I saw that. I think the rating on them (if I was an inspector ) would have been affected. Normally we love that place!

The sandwich was wrapped and I went upstairs to feast. When I opened the sandwich, it looked like I had ordered a side salad literally on the side of the sandwich! I love veggies, but I had to give the sandwich a "haircut" to trim the excess so I could get to the bread and pick it up. It looked fine while being made, and I think the trouble was when they tried to close the two halves - all those toppings had to go somewhere! I enjoyed my side-trimmed salad first, then tried the sandwich, which was tasty, and yes, I could taste the cheese even with those toppings! The sandwich lasted for three meals, so it was a great value. The three scoops of avocado were also a nice treat that I usually don't find (unless added for extra money!). The service was quick and friendly as well - a great dinner choice.

All of our sandwiches were overflowing with fresh ingredients and were very satiating if not gut busting! Love the friendliness and attitudes here from this past weekend. It was a bit chaotic and confusing what made them different from any new bakery. Initially a lower value priced quality focused offering to rival perenn i believe they finally hit the spot. I had the grinder sandwich and ate every single bite because it was so delicious. The crack and crumble of the bread was like a banh mi sandwich but filled with Italian ingredients. The only downside is their space is a bit tight for the amount of business they bring in and timing is essential to enjoy your experience here if you can grab a seat at the right time. We definitely added them back to our regular list of places to visit for our bakery needs on the mornings and weekend brunch.
