Best vegan steak asada fries I've ever eaten. Places like this are so great to find on road trips they make it easy & enjoyable to stick to my eating program. The layers of flavor are unbelievably delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked. Crispy hot perfectly seasoned. The toppings were fresh and full of flavor. Seriously every layer of this plate was full of flavor. We appreciate the tip that one plate is enough for two people to share so we don't waste any food, and we left happily content that we ate enough for dinner. Amazing thank you! Yum!! I'm in love with the grub here read more

The Fix is my favorite place to eat in Reno. I absolutely love the chicken wings. I get their Buffalo chicken every time, it always hits the spot. Whether it's the wings, the BBC wrap, the salad or the BBC fries, that "chicken" has NEVER done me dirty. I'm not even vegan and it's the best chicken I've had. This time around, I went with the buffalo wings and seaweed fries, double ranch. It was just as I expected and the ultimate comfort food. Plus, the employees are playful and friendly. It's been such a pleasure getting to enjoy The Fix over the years. From food truck to West Street Market! How cool is that? read more

The Fix Falafel - Wings (3) - Falafel Near Me - Reno, Nevada

The Fix is in! That's an old saying I just made up. But really the food was fabulous. Not much history with vegan fare but the future looks bright. The Fix Falafel set me straight. Had the "beef" shawarma and it was as tasty as beef shawarma. Same taste and chew with a pita and cucumber, peppers, lettuce, tahini, tomato and pickle. A regular told us we had to try the fries. Sometimes ya trust and win. We tried the regular and falafel fries. Truly awesome thick fresh cut potatoes fried crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. A meal by themselves. Reminds me of buying an extra order at LC's for the ride home so I got my share. On West Street in the West Street market. Inside or patio seating. Service animals only. Mini fire pits on outdoor tables, nice touch. read more

Visiting the area and found this gem of a spot. A all vegan restaurant that has fantastic options. We decided to get the fries, BBC swap and the asada tacos. They were all so fantastic and so yum. They were so great we went back the next day for their wrap and tacos! The food is so flavorful. When we went it was not to busy. Didn't have to wait super long for our food. The gentleman that took our order was super nice. The dining area looks shared with other businesses. It was clean and well lit. Perfect spot to have lunch or dinner. Highly recommend checking out the fix falafel. read more

I will not be returning. The food was not the best to me. I love falafels but I've just had way better. Now that's just my opinion about the food someone else might feel differently and that's ok. What really bothered me and the main reason I won't be giving this place a second chance is because of what happened while I was there. I'd never been here passed it by 100 times and decided to take my girlfriend on a date here. We chose to sit in the court yard because even there there was trash and it wasn't clean and furniture was just stacked on top of each other it was quieter for me then inside. And it looked ok plus it was a nice day to sit outside. Well even all that wasn't the problem. The part that made me mad was how a situation was handled. A homeless guy entered the courtyard and was really drugged and under the influence and he was covered in feces and he was very badly injured and was nodding off near me going in and out. He look like he was going to overdose and then he wakes up and walks over to me and asks me for food nog money he said food please. I said yes no problem. Which I truly had no problem giving him food if that's what he needed. But his behavior was very weird and so I had my knife out hidden just in case. A family of 10 was sitting next to us and felt so uncomfortable they went inside. So I go inside to order what the guy wanted and asked him to please wait on the side walk before I went in to order. So I get to the register and I explain to the cashier that there is a very drugged guy nodding off in the courtyard and that I didn't mind buying him food but could he give it to him and take the chance to tell him to please stay out of the courtyard and on the side walk. I explain I was disabled prier to this and I am a 5"2 female and I had the guys to tell this guy to please wait outside but the cashier said no to me cause he didn't feel comfortable going up to a guy at his place who was on drugs. I told him another reason I had bought this guy food was so that he would wait outside which he did and this guy couldn't even do anything. So your customer doesn't feel safe and you can't ask this person to please go on the sidewalk cause you are scared? Also i don't know what reason they oils have for not having the corner of the courtyard clean and trash and piled up furniture just sitting there. This was my business but I did what I could to help since I saw the family feel uncomfortable and no one at THE FIX which I do not work at couldn't do anything? Didn't even cared how their customer felt. That's crazy to me. So if you don't care then I don't care to support you. I could honestly have overlooked the fact that it wasn't the best falafel I myself have ever had but I can't support a business who doesn't care about their costumers. I never review a place if I've only been there one time and if I do it I mention it because I understand maybe they were busy or having a bad day or things weren't working or whatever and I'm understanding because you don't know what people got going on in their personal life. But I do review a place if I feel the experience was bad enough to do so. This was a bad experience for me. I will absolutely not be coming back to this place. Maybe you will have or might have had a better experience but mine was not. read more

Good vegan food at a reasonable price. The portions are generous and the staff is friendly and attentive. It is located at the West Street Market right next to The Pizza Collective, and there's free open seating. I liked their garlic fries paired with their homemade ranch. The "asada" tacos were good, but were a touch on the salty side to give them more flavor. read more

THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO GOOD! First of all, I love the location and all the plants indoor and how it connects a bunch of places in one and has outdoor seating. I think they have very reasonable prices for the food considering how expensive everything is right now. The food is actually SOO FREAKING GOOD, the fact that it's all vegan and don't have to worry about anything having dairy is amazing. I am obsessed with the seaweed fries, and the tacos were so tasty with an incredible sauce. The sandwich was sooo spicy but really hit the spot. I highly recommend it and the service was great and was the one that recommended us everything l! read more

We visited The Fix Falafel while on our way to the airport. It is located in a building with a couple of other restaurants. You order at the counter and have a seat. I will never stop frequenting the best and one of the only fully vegan restaurants in Reno. They often have weekend specials that are delectable but if you don't catch one of those, the Buffalo Chicken in any form always hits. They are 100% vegan, for vegans. You carnivores, you're welcomed, in the doors. But it really wasn't built for you. The salads here are great. Generous, too. The lettuce was shredded (?) and the ratios were exact, until I asked for extra bacon (which shockingly tastes a little like real bacon). One of our people ordered the falafel salad (always go light on the tahini or get it on the side) and was totally satisfied. The Falacos were extremely spicy but delicious. Be cautious. If you love buffalo chicken, be certain someone at the table orders the BBC. Make sure you taste it, then kick yourself all night for not ordering it yourself. But don't. A half hour before u you leave, order one to-go, heat it up the next day. The ingredients co- mingle in the fridge and taste BETTER reheated (provided you know the proper way to reheat a wrap). As I mentioned, this place is 100% vegan. Some items are tasty substitutes for the real thing and some things don't quite make it. You'll have to determine for yourself. I myself enjoyed the carne asada fries even though they were over spiced. Most things here have too much spice. The seaweed fries weren't for me. I really love the layout and the overall ambiance. Another thing that must be experienced. I do not care for young, snotty servers that are just plain rude for no reason. Normally I enquire as to whether or not there's a problem. Today it seemed obvious it was her MO, So I remained smiling and her attitude was reflected in her tip. That's how it works with me. 02/25 read more

I lovvvveeeee The Fix! Seriously, it is sooo good! I've been three times the past two weeks!! My go to is the BBC wrap. We came to The Fix during our moving road trip. This was our second choice because our first choice was closed, but the food was excellent and I would recommend it! The Fix is located in downtown Reno. There was a sign out front, and it shares a building with a few other businesses that also looked delicious. Its location had a funky, hip vibe, that I'd definitely bring friends to if I had friends in Reno. We got there close to closing so it was quiet, but they happily took our order. The menu was creative and had options for everyone without being overwhelming. The person at the register also helped us decide, which was kind of him! We ordered the Falaco Fries, the Chicken Shawarma, and a Firestarter sandwich (I think this was the name). This was too much food -- they serve generous portions and the food is filling. The Falaco Fries were some of the best fries we've ever had, and I've never had anything like this elsewhere! Would recommend. The chicken shawarma took our review from a 5 to a 4. We didn't think it was very flavorful compared to the other items. That said, it wasn't bad, and it was cool to have shawarma as a vegetarian. The Firestarter sandwich was delicious. It was spicy, cheesy, and meaty. Great vegan comfort food!!! Finally, they had this hot sauce (pictured) that was so spicy that we started coughing when we opened it. Cool stuff! read more

I had never been to Nevada and I'm moving out of Utah next week, so I decided to check out Reno. I was so excited to try this restaurant because I've heard great things about it for a long time, and it really lived up to the expectation. I said that was just what I was hoping for. The menu had so many yummy looking choices it was hard to decide so the man at the counter offered up a few suggestions. I decide on the falafel wrap and garlic fries. First bite and I was hooked. The portion size was generous, and it tasted wonderful. The garlic fries were so delicious with visible pieces of garlic which is what one would expect. I plan on going back till I try all the choices and really hope this place stays here in Reno forever. read more

Stopped in with my vegetarian friend. Looking at the menu, I had no idea it was all vegan, vegetarian. It's a cool little spot, and although parking isn't great, if you're in the area, definitely check out the West Street Market. As someone else commented, there isn't much of a vibe as WSM. I don't know if it's a lack of music, or decor, or ? But it's not someplace you go and think, oh man I gotta go back soon. It lacks personality I guess, but I'm not sure why. The location should be packing people in. Anyway I digress, we ordered wraps, and mine was buffalo, and I'll be honest, had I not known it was vegetarian I would have been fooled. Their food is so yummy and 100% vegan. I've tried nearly their whole menu and I've never been let down. I got the falafel wrap today which is a very generous portion of food and so tasty. However, the one thing I keep coming back to is the chicken tacos. I can't quite figure it out but something about these super soft tacos with shredded lettuce, cheese, chicken, tomatoes and crema really takes me back to my childhood. Every time I eat the tacos I think this will be the time I figure out what they remind me of, but so far no luck. It's such a simple meal but it really resonates with me. The taco shells are always the softest fluffiest flour shells which really sets it apart. It's such a delight to have vegan food that is so good it reminds me of my non vegan childhood. My husband and I decided to drop in here for lunch. We are regulars to West Street Market and were looking forward to trying the "new kid on the block". So glad we did. To start off neither of us are even close to being vegetarian let alone being vegan but the items we tried made our omnivore taste buds very happy. We came away quite satisfied. I had the Falafel Wrap which was a delicious bundle of fresh crunchy veggies and crisp falafel drizzled with tangy tahini and wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla. My husband had the hand-cut fries and deemed them most excellent. The staff were very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly in spite of being quite busy with filling a large to-go order. My friend got the buffalo "chicken" salad and I would've had no idea that wasn't chicken, so juicy and flavorful. We shared the garlic fries which were perfect and super fresh when we got them. Formerly a food truck in the Reno area, The Fix has taken over where Nom Eats once was inside West Street Market, and has become a local staple for the definition of vegan junk food. Their menu comprises of wraps, tenders, fries, salads, and more all American goodness. They incorporate a lot of faux meat as well as classic falafel items that were a hit. We ordered their Steak & Egg Burrito, the Falafel Salad, and their BBC Fries. The burrito portion was generous and loaded with seitan steak, a tofu scramble, and pico. Everything about it was definitely hearty. I also really enjoyed the Falafel Salad although I wish there had been more veggies to add to the mix. Lastly, their BBC (bacon, buffalo chicken) fries were as loaded as you can imagine with all the fixings to make it a great sharable dish. Fries were definitely on the saltier side. Overall, a great staple here in Reno for vegan junk food. None of this is healthy but it really hits the spot for those like me that once consumed animal products. read more

While having a glass of wine at West St Market, I wanted some kind of snack and tried The Fix. Even though I knew everything was vegan, I ordered cheese and bacon fries. The actual fries were good. The cheese was thin, watery, and tasteless. The bacon was edible. Next time I would just get the garlic fries. The cashier overcharged me 5$ and automatically asked for a tip. So my vegan fries ended up being almost $20. The owner (?) realized before I did that I was overcharged (they were $10). He gave me $3 back. It was disappointing and I'm sorry I didn't just have a wood fired pizza. But! West Street Market has a great vibe. There's other choices for food and outside seating. We came for opening day at their brick and mortar space, and let me tell you, still amazingly delicious. The crew came rolling in after a day in the earth day sun and were told the wait would be at least an hour. Cool! Falaco are great, but dont be caught with out water because these bbs are spicy!!! Opening day orders were a little slow but I'm sure the team will adjust to the new space soon. We frequent the food court area that The Fix is located in, and have seen their tasty looking food in passing, but have never tried it until recently. We decided to stop by and get pick ip at our usual place but also a few items here to try. We started with the vegan teriyaki wings and absolutely loved them. The skin was a little crispy and chewy on the outside, with soft "chicken" on the inside. There was even a fake bone inside to imitate real wings, a wooden dowel of sorts you just pulled out. We also tried the BBC fries- Buffalo chicken, bacon, and lots of great toppings. They lacked much of the meat topping, but they were flavorful and delicious. What really stood out to us was how well flavored and yummy the fries were even without the dressings and toppings. On their own they were some dang good fries. We of course got ranch to go with the wings, vegan and house made, and it was immaculate. Ranch is one of my favorite dressings, but can be done wrong so easily. They killed it here. I'm vegetarian and my boyfriend eats meat, so for both of us to love it was a huge win. We'll certainly be back for a lunch soon. read more

I love how the menu is 100% vegan. My brother is vegan, and it is relieving for him not to worry about which dish is vegan/substituting like at other restaurants! He ordered the BBC wrap, and thought it was very good (in his opinion, he said he would rate this place 5 stars). I ordered the falafel wrap, which I thought was also good. We also shared the BBC Fries, which was a good size for two people, and those were great! the vegan bacon on top was really good and tasted close to actual bacon. The only downside here would be the lack of drink selection, which is canned sodas and beers. It would be nice if there were some form of lemonades or cocktails. The service was great, some things I ordered "to-go," and I also had some modifications, and everything was right. The staff didn't act like I was being too complicated, and were super friendly. The Fix is located in West Street Market, which I didn't know existed really until I arrived. I was able to see the sign in the courtyard through the fence so I knew I was in the right place! I didn't have trouble finding a parking spot during lunch on a Sunday, but I can see it being difficult during other peak times. The seating area at this place is shared with multiple restaurants which I thought was pretty cool. The courtyard is also shared with the restaurants too, and it is dog friendly. I'm really happy that the Fix has a permanent location now because this is some of the most well executed plant based snack food I've ever had. All of their "meat" and "cheese" alternatives are not only delicious, but the textures are really great too. You almost can't tell that they aren't really made of animal matter. Their menu is fun and creative and there's lots of options for everyone. The only thing I would change about the carne asada fries is to add more sauce, mine were a little bit dry. But the fire starter is creamy and spicy and rich and a really good sandwich. The service style is a little more lackadaisical so just be prepared for that, it took a while to get to order and we waited about 20 minutes for our food, although they were pretty busy on a weeknight. There's plenty of seating in West Street Market even when they are busy and you can enjoy the outdoor patio as well. Overall this is a great option for plant based eats and I'm pretty confident that you can't really go wrong with any of their menu items at a pretty reasonable and affordable price. read more
