Man, I just can't get enough Greek food lately. My brother has made a habit of bringing me to some banging spots lately. Although, this place is a bit of a hole in the wall at first glance, Nicks Greek Deli should not be underestimated. Inside the tiny 4 table restaurant is a Greek grandma cooking up some crazy good gyro meats and throwing together some incredible cheap eats. We sat down and ordered and our food came quick. The prices can't be beat. Honestly the best food for the value in all of Reno that I know about. Get the gyro plate or gyro wrap. That lamb/beef gyro meat can't be beat. Holy cow, it's good. I'll be back!

This place is a little hole in the wall with great food. There's not much seating. The way it works is that you enter the restaurant. Catch the eye of one of the ladies that in the kitchen immediately to your left as you enter. Then take a seat wherever you find one. One of the ladies will bring a menu over, and it's a simple menu. Which is nice! Not too many choices but everything I had was worth having again. I got the Royal plate which comes with meat, tzatziki, pita, salad and spinach pie. I loved that the tradition gyro meat had a bit of char on it. It makes it so tasty!! The salad was a typical greek salad with lettuce, tomato, cukes and shaved feta cheese. The pita bread was grilled and cut into bite size pieces which was perfect for putting some tzatziki and a piece of meat and putting it in my mouth without getting it all over the place. BTW... the tzatziki was the best that I've had outside of Greece. Very traditional with lots of garlic. My DH got the gyro which he loved, it was huge but a bit messy. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. Can you believe a fantasic gyro for $8... The service was a little slow compared to a fast food joint, and about on par with a full service restaurant. Now that we've found this place. We will be back!!

This place is a simple, no frills, hole in the wall joint with some great gyros! There's about 4 tables to sit down at and only a few items on the menu, but that's really all you need. The gyro sandwiches came with a small side salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomato and a balsamic dressing. The gyro itself had a lot of meat and delicious tzatziki!

Having frequented Nick's for many years I took a friend here because it is locally owned and there are several Greek restaurants in our area that are owned by chains and I'm all for patronizing locals. Granted, there's nothing fancy about Nick's which comes to be expected. Nick's can be hit and miss as far as service, but this visit that wasn't the problem. My friend and I both ordered the " Royal Plate " it consists of sliced Gyro meat, Greek salad, Spanakopita and Tzatziki sauce along with inconsistent slices of pita bread. The presentation was horrible, instead of the food arranged on a single plate, the incomplete salad and Tzatziki sauce was alone a large plate and the meat , Spanakopita and pita was on a separate small plate. The meat weren't nice long slices, they were chunks that were dry and salty. The Spanakopita was a Soggy mess, the Phyllo dough was unpronounced and the Spinach flavorless. The salad lacked red onion, tomato, olives ,pepperncini and it wasn't dressed with any flavor of herbs or vinegar and olive oil. There was nothing " Royal " about this plate.. It all tasted like a plate of overnight leftovers. Very sad and disappointing... Maybe the chains have something that Nick's doesn't have anymore... which is quality and consistency. The pictures below show the way the Gyro meat for the " Royal Plate " is sliced and served. And the photo of the Greek salad was the way the salad used to look but not the way it is served today.

This place food is really delisous. We came here for lunch. It's tiny inside but if you have a group of like five or less you should be good. The waiter was really nice. There food was very good and you get a great about for the cost. So glad I found this hidden gem. There is only steet parking availble. The midtown struggle for parking. We parked a block down and walked the rest of the way. Not bad at all. I had a gyro wrap and vegetable soup. Super helpful with answering questions about their menu. Really friendly to use while we were there. I delfinately reccomend grabbing lunch from here. It was a meal to remember.

The food here has bin the same for years! Amazing!! Nick's Greek is a little hole in the wall. They are a small biz and a staple in our neighborhood. The portions are good and the owner occasionally ask if you had enough. We love the value here too. One of the best deals for a meal. We get the gyro plate, and it comes with a salad. 10/10 recommendation

A true gem! I love authentic hole in the wall establishments. I have tried the gyro sandwiches from here and they are AMAZING. Everything is made to order and made with love. Thank you to the family that runs this place and shares their culture and food with us!

f you're in the mood for authentic Greek food, Nick's is an absolute must-visit! Their gyros are absolutely mouthwatering--packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. The meat is tender and juicy, wrapped in soft, warm pita, and topped with fresh ingredients. But what really stood out were the fries. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and just the right amount of seasoning. They were the perfect complement to the gyros and definitely worth mentioning. The atmosphere at Nick's is warm and inviting, with a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're a longtime fan of Greek cuisine or new to it, Nick's is a place you'll want to return to again and again.

I've been the Nicks many times (5-10) but this is my first time reviewing it. Nick's is a simple and familial feeling Greek restaurant serving incredible food for refreshing prices. The service at Nicks is always great, greeting when you walk in and prompt ordering made simple. I've yet to have an experience where my food is not out rather shortly after ordering. This time, I opted for the Pastrami sandwich with soup, and the Gyro Sandwich with salad. (my usual at Nicks) The Gyro sandwich was flavorful, filling, and fresh per usual. Great servings of gyro along with tasty vegetables and a perfect Tzatziki sauce. While the pastrami sandwich could have benefitted greatly from a toasted bun and a few more slices of pastrami, it was still very flavorful and the pastrami was thick and tasty. The vegetable soup was a nice compliment and the broth was delicious. I'll continue to come to Nick's as my go-to Greek food spot for the consistent service and quality of food. I'm yet to have a poor experience at Nick's and I look forward to my next visit!

Fast easy service at 1:00 pm. Much busier over the lunch hour. The Gyro sandwich is huge and includes a light salad.

Have been going here for years. The gyro plates are usually good along with the Greek Salad. Spanokopita is good, the grape leaves (dolmas) are excellent. Staff is usually helpful and nice. Last visit the meat was a little more dry, probably just an off day.

I have loved watching it evolve over the years,…read moreespecially the restaurant, which started as a small offering and has now really come into its own. We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

We were not disappointed! Here are a few things to know: - In addition to selling Mediterranean groceries, you can order at the register and there are several small tables so you can sit and eat. - I ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.

She was super friendly and helpful throughout the meal. We started with the Housemade Ricotta and toast and my. God. It was so delicious. Super light, the bread was perfectly toasted and the truffle honey is so yum. It's a great app. I'd like to try the roasted beets next time! She also had a lavender cocktail that was visually gorg and tasty. Now: dessert! Claio's soft serve is always fun, and they had a pistachio baklava version. The cold, creamy soft serve was paired with pistachio cream and buttered kataifi. Really yum, especially if you like pistachio. We also tried to sokolatopita chocolate cake. I was a little apprehensive because it is chocolate + orange, but I didn't taste the orange blossom and it was really delish. The cake is nice and chocolatey with fudgy chocolate ganache and the tahini mousse! I love tahini and the mousse was a little earthy but nice and light. Overall, a really lovely dinner at Claio!
