    Pita and hummus

Popped in for a quick lunch after weekend shopping. My husband liked the lamb gyro and the kids enjoyed the fresh made pita and hummus. Service was friendly and our food came out quickly.

We drive a long distance just to eat at Nikos. Almost always get our favorites. Gyro beef and lamb is so rich you love the Greek yogurt sauce to balance it out. But the pita to hold it together is something else. Fluffy and crunchy at the same time. Her favorite is the avgolemono soup. Nikos is the best she has ever had. We shared a large side of falafel. Service is always great. Dine in take away or delivery you will be happy and full.

This place is A-OK! Their gyro is tasty but lacking vegis and yogurt sauce. Their lemon, chicken, and rice soup also seems to be missing something. --It could use some other ingredients aside from the rice in it. Their chicken is slightly on the dry side for their entrees. Drink options are fountain and bottled, but nothing fresh. Parking isn't too difficult, but the seating is limited. This place will satisfy your Greek cravings but can certainly be better.

Best Gyro in Northern Nevada by far! I grew up in Chicagoland with many gyro shops and all the diners were Greek owned. When I moved out here I was bummed to not find anything similar to what I grew up with. Looks like I just needed to explore Sparks a little more! This family restaurant has been around for a long time. They have affordable prices. The decor is very Greek and reminds me of the shops back home. I dined in. They do have a waitress. I was surprised to see every table full when I walked in. That's a sign of a good locals lunch spot! The food came quickly. The items are mostly a la carte so if you want fries you'll have to add them on, but the gyro is plenty of food as is.

YUM! I stopped in for a quick takeout lunch and was so impressed. Clearly this place has a rich family history and they take real pride in their food and the restaurant. Watching regular customers come in and get a hug from the host was so special. The food was DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of tzatziki, fresh raw onion and tomato, juicy and slightly crispy lamb on a fluffy toasted pita. The Dolmathes are served warm with feta and onion. So so delicious. I ate it in the car because I couldn't wait to get it home. Halfway through eating I realized I needed pictures because I absolutely had to write a review.

Really cute restaurant located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Very friendly service and loved their menu. We had the Greek salad, lemon chicken plate and chicken skewer plate. Both plates come with soup and we had the lemon egg soup and lentil. Everything was great but I loved the salad and the skewers most-so flavorful and well prepared. Definitely will be back and worth a visit if you've never been there.

Amazing, If I could eat here everyday I would. I always get a mixed gyro with beef and lamb. Great food, great customer service and for a reasonable $$. The best Greek food in town.!!!

Best gyros in town and I love that it is such a family business. Definitely feels like a hole in the wall. My husband and I aren't huge Greek food people but once in a while when we get the itch, this is where we go. I get the chicken gyro and the chicken is always tender. The flat bread is always soft and fresh. The sauce which I am assuming is homemade is so delicious. The veggies always crispy. The service though is what really makes this place feel homey and wonderful. Restaurant is always clean although it is small so you aren't always guaranteed a spot inside. Something to consider if you're trying to dine in.

Favorite takeout spot for Greek food!!! Staples are all crowd pleasers, especially the falafel and grape leaves. Fast-casual atmosphere inside and small patio area out front make a quick stop for lunch comfortable as well. Friendly service at the counter!

It's Greek fast food. Very limited menu. No rice. 8 tables inside with a couple more out. I'm thinking they are primarily a busy carry out. They are definitely a busy Sunday afternoon-dine in. Our server was pleasant and professional. Again, very busy. We did manage a table with little waiting. For $35, two large iced teas, fries and two gyros. One chicken, one beef/lamb. Much better than the starbucks in the hotel/casino last night. The chicken was a bit dry without much flavour. The tomatoes were fresh and their Greek yogurt sauce was very mild. They don't add too much lemon like many tend to. So you won't find the common bitter taste in this sauce. The best news is that they slice the gyro meat off a Doner kabob. Even though it's processed and packaged elsewhere, it's a much better alternative to other Greek joints. This one was too salty, but livable. Another problem is they sliced a large amount off all at once. It sits in a pan getting cold and the last gyro made has cold meat. In other words, mine. The portion sizes made up for that. Huge. Well worth the $9.00. Under different circumstances I would've filled up on half and carried-out the remainder. The only item the Mrs and I differed on were the drinks. She is an aficionado on teas and was lukewarm on their iced tea. I thought it was pretty good, so I drank hers, too! 11/24

The food here is authentic, home l-cooked style. Tastes amazing. Really love the grilled potatoes that came with the lemon chicken. We also tried a mixed gyro, fries dish called "Downtown....?", our kid loved the chicken. Small cafe area so it can get busy during peak times. Did a take out but food was cooked on the spot, drove 10 mins home and food was still piping hot. Only thing is I got food poisoning from the side salad...oops!

Was craving some Greek food for lunch and found this little gem at the Sparks Crossing plaza. Upon entering, you'll realize it's not a big place. It's small and there are a lot of photographs of the owner in Greece. The place itself besides the pictures on the walls are a bit run down but don't let that fool you because the food was delicious! I got the beef gyro with a small fries and my friend got the chicken salad. I loved the gyro. The beef was tender and flavorful.

You can build a bowl, salad, wrap, or anything in between. I was so impressed with the selection of toppings and proteins! I added feta cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes (those come together), peppers, Kalamata olives, and red onion. Then they allow you to choose a few sauces, and I went with cilantro sauce and a Greek vinaigrette. I have loved watching it evolve over the years,…read moreespecially the restaurant, which started as a small offering and has now really come into its own. We had to feed a crowd at home recently and Middle Eastern cuisine suited everyone's fancy, so naturally Aladdin's was the call. Using the online ordering system was simple, and the food was ready right on time. My only feedback is that the items don't all clearly describe what you get or how the dish comes, and so I added sauces thinking they came on the side but really came on top, and paid upcharges for things like pita, thinking they didn't come with it but then finding out they did and I just added a lot of extra. I ordered a few shawarma plates, an Aladdin combo, and hummus, falafel, and babaganoush appetizers. Everything was delicious, but some items were a bit surprising. The hummus is was a bit on the loose side, and we actually thought it was tahini from the look, aroma, and flavor. My guess is the batch was made with a bit more tahini than normal. Still good, but surprising. The Aladdin's Combo didn't look as pictured on the website, where it looks like a very sizable portion of meat, with chicken in a reddish marinade. Though the chicken looked similar to shawarma, it was clearly different in flavor, and both it and the koobideh were delicious. I ordered extra meat and had expected it to be outrageously large based on the menu photo of the standard order, but what came was more similar to the photo itself. It was still plenty to share, but I paid additional and didn't seem like I got that much more. The regular portions here are large, like easily feed two people sized. We ordered one plate per person, but in reality could've split them all. Again, I love this spot and chalk this up to learning. I think some folks could get frustrated with this experience, and I def did to an extent, but I enjoy this too much to gripe.

We were not disappointed! Here are a few things to know: - In addition to selling Mediterranean groceries, you can order at the register and there are several small tables so you can sit and eat. - I ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and my wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich. Both were really good, and quite large...I, of course, polished my entire sandwich off and my wife took half home for later. - We've bought Greek cheeses, olives, bulghur, and spices at Aladdin's, both this time and in the past. It's the only place to find some of the things I need, and the prices are better on some things than even Amazon. - Service was really great. The person working let me wait to pay until after I had finished my grocery shopping, and she brought our food out to our table pretty quickly. Bottom line: Aladdin's is a go-to place for us...next time, we'll probably go again at a time which would let us enjoy lunch at the same time.
