If you're looking for authentic and delicious pan dulce, La Deliciosa Bakery is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in you're greeted with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked pastries. My personal favorite is the pound cake with chocolate. Good service too.

So yummy! Fresh and clean. Friendly cashier. The bread was very soft, not greasy, and my kids ate every bite.

Wish I didn't live so far away but it's probably for the best or I'd be getting pan dulce all the time.

Every item made at C's is so delicately done, you can immediately tell how much time, love and effort was put into every single recipe as soon as you take your first bite! From beginning to end, you will receive a quality experience at C's. In addition, the ambiance of this place is so warm, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. It feels like a spring afternoon in Paris! From fruit pastries, cinnamon rolls, and custom cakes, there are so many options that will make it hard to choose from and will more than likely leave you wanting more. I've seen the viral fruit pastries all over social media and safe to say C definitely has her recipe down. The raspberry pastry was a perfect blend of sweet and tart while the cupcakes were rich in flavor while also being a perfect balance of sweet, soft and perfectly portioned icing. When it comes to supporting local business, C's Mad Batter Cakery, is a staple on my list.

Dropping in late in the day I was worried that most of the 'goodies' would be sold out. Not at all the case. They keep the displays stocked all day. We were greeted by a friendly staff member that was able to answer all our questions. The owner (Steve) popped out of the back and gave us some info on the development of the business which is a good story in itself. The premade cakes looked wonderful, but they specialize in custom cakes (and cupcakes too) The pictures tell a story, but the attention to detail and flavors is why you should check them out too.

The Pumpkin pie was the best Pumpkin pie I've had. Stick to the Pumpkin pie, or you'll be in great danger! That Pecan pie... it's not for us mere mortals! These bakers have gone to far, and (like Prometheus before them) stole the pie recipe from the Olympians! I want to eat the pie until I'm sick, then try to eat the pie to cure my stomach pains. With this pie in hand, all your troubles melt away, as long as the pie lasts. But there's a dark cloud on the horizon... this pie does not last forever! You look down at the plate, debating lapping up the crumbs. You look over at the last slice on the dessert table. That last, unclaimed bit of pure joy. Then you look around the room. The others have tasted the pie... Your dear, sweet mother. Your aged father. Neither of them is a threat. The grandparents? Bah, they couldn't even make it to the table and you'd have the pie half-way down your gullet. Aunts and uncles... you could push through them without any issue. Your brother may pose a threat, but how dangerous can a marine *really* be? Your sister? No, guile and deception won't win the day, here. The kids table.. were there 4 there earlier? 5? I was super bummed they didn't have any, but we did settle for their peanut butter chocolate marble cake. I'm a personal sucker for lemon anything, so their lemon blueberry was a no-brainer. We had to take a red velvet cake bomb home as well. It's a big "cake pop" coated in chocolate ganache. It was my personal favorite! This cute little shop hasn't changed since the last time I set foot in there. The older lady working in the evening was a doll. She was friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, but our cake slices were on the dry side. I wish at about $9 a slice they were dated, so as a consumer, I knew when it was baked. The cake bomb is the way to go if you want dry cake or wash it down with a glass of milk. *They do a stamp card here, so ask for yours when you check out.* With their prices creeping up, I'll have to rethink my next visit to buy a dry slice of cake.

As a longtime Reno customer I've watched them grow from a single location into a multi-state restaurant group with six locations across Nevada and Tennessee -- and that growth is well deserved. That said I do want to share one honest observation. On top of premium pricing -- which I'm happy to pay for quality -- Perenn also charges subscribers for their Substack newsletter. For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling -- that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely -- you've clearly earned the audience.

We ordered the BBQ Pork Buns, Minced Pork Dumplings, and Sui Mai. We took everything home and steamed it ourselves. I also picked up a Napoleon pastry from the bakery case. The BBQ Pork Bun was good with nice flavor. I would order it again, especially since I don't know of many other places in Reno where I can get one of my favorite dim sum items. The Minced Pork Dumplings, however, were not for us. I believe the flavor of the Chinese leek may have been what turned us off. As for the Napoleon, it wasn't very sweet or particularly flavorful, and it made quite a mess to eat. Not something I'd reorder. The Sui Mai was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. This was the winner of our take home feast. While not everything was a hit for us, we'd return for the Sui Mai and BBQ Pork Buns and other explore some other items that we have yet to try.
