The bakery was cute and the staff was very nice. I bought the lemon mouse, the blackberry cupcake, and a slice of carrot cake. The lemon mouse was the best. It was a thin white chocolate shell filled with whipped cream and lemon curd. The lemon curd was good. I wanted more lemon because it tasted mostly like whipped cream. The blackberry cupcake didn't have enough blackberry flavor, but the texture was good. The frosting was far too sweet and detracts from the cupcake. The carrot cake was the worst of the three. The cake wasn't spiced enough and was too dense, probably from a sugar soak. The frosting was terrible. If it was cream cheese, we couldn't taste it at all because of how sweet it was. always enjoy coming here, the staff is friendly, and the establishment itself is very clean. The space is on the smaller side, but it still feels welcoming. This visit, I decided to try the new viral fruit pastries everyone has been talking about. Overall, they were just okay for me. The first one I tried was the mango, and the filling was not what I expected it tasted mostly like whipped cream with only a very small amount of cake and mango filling. I was hoping for a stronger Mango flavor. The second pastry looked like an espresso bean, but it turned out to be more of cocoa bean!? it was basically a chocolate shell with vanilla filling inside. I was expecting more chocolate flavor or maybe some cake or thicker texture in the center, just wasn't what i was expecting. The third one was blueberry, and that ended up being the best one of the three. I liked that it had more cake texture, although I still wish there had been more blueberry filling to balance out the whipped cream. One thing I would definitely recommend: eat them right away if possible, or bring a cooler if you're traveling. They did not hold up very well during a 35-minute car ride. They are on the price of your side. They are $10 a piece. read more

Oh WOW! What a great find! Cs Mad Batter Cakery has so many creative treats for both everyday and special occasions. Parking is easy, and the shop is adorable, just as pretty as the pastries. Seating is limited, but we found a spot at the counter. We came in for the Blueberry Bliss croissant and left with a cinnamon roll (warmed, of course) and a Dubai chocolate croissant. The cinnamon roll could have used a little more cinnamon, but we like our flavors bold. The Blueberry Bliss and Dubai chocolate croissants are only available on weekends, and they were every bit as delicious as they looked. The blueberry filling was sweet and flavorful, and the pistachio in the Dubai Chocolate croissant was noticeable even with the sweetness. I'm very impressed with Cs Mad Batter Cakery. I was craving a sweet treat around Los Altos and found this cute shop. The employee greeted me with kindness and answered any questions I had about their desserts. I opted to get the last 2 Nutella croissants and let me just say, this is the best croissant I've ever had. The croissant itself was perfect and left no weird aftertaste. Not usually a fan of Nutella either but it paired very well with this croissant. Also, the pricing to each dessert I found to be reasonable. Really hard to support small local businesses when they can't keep up with the demand. Today is my 3rd time coming in for a Dubai chocolate croissant and by 11:30am they are out. I get being super popular but it's a waste of time to drive out and not have items available and then not even make anymore for the day when your hours say you're closed at 7pm. I've found my new favorite bakery! They have a variety of pastries/delicious goodies here. From classic cinnamon roll and chocolate chip cookies to speciality/seasonal pastries (like their Bridgerton inspired raspberry rose cinnamon roll), they've got plenty of mouth watering options to choose from. When I went, I got their raspberry rose cinnamon roll and they offered to heat it. I definitely recommend that because the raspberry cream cheese frosting melts perfectly. It was easily one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had. I can't wait to try the traditional and biscoff one next time! I also ordered a classic chocolate chip cookie and it didn't disappoint at all. Perfectly chewy and plenty of chocolate chips inside. Their pastries are truly beautifully baked/decorated, absolutely delicious, and the ambiance inside is adorable. The staff is also incredibly friendly. The pricing is extremely reasonable as well. I'll also be ordering custom cakes/cupcakes from them in the future! Three years later, it's so wonderful to see Cs Mad Batter Cakery and all that is is now, with the huge case of desserts and cracked drinks to their yummy iced coffees. I'm bummed I do not make it out as often as I would like. When thinking of a birthday gift for a friend I thought to myself- Cs that would be perfect! I was a little worried with it being a Sunday and just a few weekends ago driving by and seeing the business packed to the brim. Perhaps with it being Superbowl Sunday that helped as my parent and I were the only ones in there. I had the hardest time deciding which pastries to narrow it down to- but I went with a Mocha cupcake, a football decorated chocolate cupcake, a biscoff croissant and for myself a biscoff latte. I loved how cutely decorated it was for Valentines and how friend and family run the business is. Would definitely love to come back and just hang out for a bit. Visited on a Friday, staff was friendly. I got a banana croissant, lemon blueberry cookie, and a brownie. If the brownies were lower and I could've seen the top I probably wouldn't have bought one. They had chocolate chips on top, just as a personal preference, I don't like added chocolate chunks in a brownie. The bottom part of the brownie delicious. My only concern with the store was that prices weren't posted. I really like to know how much I'm paying for what. I even received a receipt and it was not itemized. I ordered a wedding cake for my goddaughter's wedding from Cs Mad Batter Cakery! The cake was beautiful and delicious! The process to order was super easy! We did everything over the phone and thru email. I paid a deposit and scheduled the day and time for pickup. On the day... I showed up and paid the balance and picked up the cake. The whole process took less than 5 minutes as the cake was ready to travel. The service was great! The cake was small but served the 6 of us easily with almost half leftover. It was chocolate cake with a buttercream frosting. The cake had a deep chocolate flavor and the buttercream was light and yummy!! And I'm not usually a fan of buttercream but it was really great! I only ordered buttercream because I knew that since I needed to transport it and it would be sitting in the car (in a cooler with ice) during the wedding, whip cream probably wouldn't hold up. I'm actually glad I got the buttercream as it was very delicious. If If I need a cake for a special occasion I will be ordering from this bakery again. I stopped in with my hubby the other night to grab some dessert on the way home. The shop is bright and well lit with just a couple of tables. The person at the counter greeted us and we started looking around. It was just before closing so they were pretty cleaned out but my husband was still happy with the selection gif he and my daughter.
