Leigh Anne and her team have brought us joy and delight once again! My daughter's first birthday was a hit thanks in part to these delicious cakes. Leigh Anne can take an idea and make it her own and she's such a sweetheart to work with. She also navigates allergies and explains everything she uses to make her cakes. Always highly recommended and we can't wait to reach out again!
I came to Delicious Designs with a bit of a funky ask: to hold a cake tasting like you would normally do for a wedding, but instead for my mother-in-law's birthday. Not only were they more than willing to work with me in setting this up, but they wholeheartedly embraced the concept. Leigh Anne met us on the day of and took care of everything, making it a truly special event. We will absolutely be coming back here for any of our bakery needs, especially because the cake was so good!
I've been wanting to try a cake from here for a long time. I honestly feel Reno doesn't have the best cake options so when I heard about this highly rated location I knew I had to try it. The ordering process was smooth and pick up was a breeze. The cake looked amazing. I took it home that fateful Saturday morning and we sliced it that afternoon. While we were enjoying the delicious chocolate cake with raspberry filling I smelled something cooking. I looked outside and said "oh lord Jesus it's a fire!" The Davis fire in south Reno had just started and was growing fast. We all got alerts on our phones to evacuate and we started packing in a hurry. By the time we had some valuables and luggage ready to go the police were at the door telling us to head out. Well on the way out I saw the cake. Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that I decided that no cake this good should be left behind. We grabbed the cake and headed to a friend's house. The friends were happy enough to see us but even more happy that we brought the cake. This was the 8 inch cake and it was more than enough for two families to enjoy. Highly recommend.

We had an issue with another bakery in the area but once we started working with Delicious designs, all of our worries went out the window. They made everything so easy!! I am vegan so I wanted a vegan wedding cake and regular cupcakes on the side. Everyone RAVED about the cake and had no idea that it was vegan. We did a marble cake with vegan buttercream frosting. I'm drooling just thinking about it! I might even get cookies shipped to me in San Diego because it was that good. They even delivered the cake and cupcakes to use from Reno to South Lake Tahoe. 10/10 I would tell everyone that's getting married in Reno or Lake Tahoe to work with this company.
Talk about bomb dot com! I had the pleasure of meeting Leigh Anne during an event that I was working and decided to give her a call to do a tasting for my own wedding coming up. First of all, our tasting was complimentary! That was already an awesome start. Walking into the shop we already had a good feeling. It's a local bakery, and the cakes really are made with love! We tried about 8 flavors or so and they were so delicious. We ended up picking raspberry champagne for our cutting cake and got 4 different flavors for cupcakes for our guests. They also have both vegan and gluten free options! We also got to keep all the extra cake from our tasting that we didn't finish, and it was still good the next 2 days! Leigh Anne is literally an angel. Super sweet (both her personality and her cakes). It was an easy no brainer decision to pick her for our big day. Very reasonable prices, and she delivers. Can't wait for our big day. Thanks delicious designs!!
Leigh was such a sweetheart ! The cake for our wedding was better than I could have even imagined. It was stunning tasted so good ! We also did cake pops and cookies and everyone could not stop talking about them ! She was so kind & easy to work with. She even made a suggestion for our son to have his own personalized cupcake. . She sent a personalized thank you card and gift as well. She really goes out of her way and it did not go un noticed. He felt so special and so did we. So amazing! We dropped the ball on ordering a custom mermaid cake for our daughter's 5th birthday party, and found ourselves frantically calling around to every bakery in town only a week before the occasion. Luckily, Delicious Designs was able to accommodate on such a short notice! From start to finish, my interaction with Leigh Ann was super pleasant! She was professional and thorough, but also so sweet and understanding about our last-minute needs. The price was totally reasonable too! When I saw the cake, I was floored! Great detail and beautiful designs. It was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted for our little girl's special day! Finally, the cake itself was delicious - dense and moist and super flavorful. It was such a hit and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you for a great experience and for accommodating us! We will always keep this place in mind for future parties - though we promise to give more notice next time! :-P

We booked Delicious Designs to make our wedding cake in October 2023. The owner of Delicious Designs, Leigh Anne, and her team are so amazing to work with and extremely talented! You can't go wrong when you choose them! They were so helpful from the minute we booked them. First, we had a tasting shortly after booking, and the cake flavors are to die for!!! During the tasting, Leigh Anne worked with us to pick a cake size that stayed within our budget but was also able to feed all our guests. Her input was so helpful! During the tasting, as hard as it was to choose flavors, we went with Berry Champagne for one tier and Lemon Lovers for the other--highly recommended, especially the Berry Champagne! It's amazing! As we got close to the wedding, I decided to add some desserts, including macrons purchased through Delicious Designs(so good) and chocolate chip cookies. What I really appreciated is that Leigh Anne helped me decide how many to order, to make sure I wasn't breaking the bank. We cut back on cake in order to have more cookies and we had the perfect amount! If she hadn't made suggestions, we would have spent way more than needed. On the day of the wedding, she worked great with our florist to decorate the cake. When I saw it, I was in awe that a cake could be so beautiful. It was the most beautiful cake I had ever seen. Guests loved both the look and the taste! We had so many comments and the cookies were also a hit! Additionally, since my husband had to leave the tasting early to get to a 49-er game(lol, diehard 49er's fan), Leigh Anne had the great idea to surprise him with a box of hand-decorated 49er cookies on his place setting the day of the wedding. He absolutely loved them. He didn't want to eat them at first because of how great the design was, but the minute he bit into one, he couldn't stop! The cookies were so thoughtful of Leigh Anne and I felt like she really got to know us as a couple. This was truly one of our favorite vendors to work with! You cannot find a better baker for your wedding than Delicious Designs! If you book them, you will not regret it!
I had to provide another update now that I got photos back from the photographer AND my guests haven't stopped talking about the desserts. I feel like it's rare to have cake that looks beautiful AND is delicious, but Delicious Designs has figured it out. For my wedding, we ordered a 2 tier cake (top tier was funfetti and bottom was lemon), cookies and churro cake pops (the owner created those especially for me because churros are my favorite!). The cookies were gone before dinner was even served. The cake pops were phenomenal. And the cake tasted great that night and for breakfast the next day ha. I super appreciate how flexible, creative and kind the team was during the decision making, ordering and delivery process.
Ordered a cake from here earlier this year, finally got around to reviewing because talk of this cake continues to come up in conversation to this day! I hadn't read the reviews before ordering, as I was frantic in trying to find a bakery that could do a small custom cake less than 24 hours before my Mother-in-Law's birthday. I was desperate and willing to take anything, and Leigh Anne was very sweet and patient with me on the phone. We settled on the Carrot L-Orange cake (heavenly). I forget the exact size, but I remember she said it would feed ~6 people which was perfect, and truly it could have fed up to 12+ people as that's how many servings we got out of it. That cake was tall, flavor-packed, and very rich. The complimentary carrot, nutmeg, and orange flavors had a warm spice that had me questioning why it had been over a decade since I last had carrot cake! It is criminally underrated in my peer group, or at least it was until we had this one. You know you've got a great recipe when even the folks who 'don't want any cake/don't like sweets' start eyeing it to make sure there's some left for them to try, and especially when they ask if they can take a to-go slice back home because they know someone who just HAS to try it. Leigh Ann's wedding cake was fabulous. All the guests commented on the great taste it had and it tasted better than the other wedding cakes they had. It was a hit! I ordered a cake for the daughter's bridal shower. Leigh Anne was very easy to work with. We discussed flavors and I sent her a few pics with some general ideas I had for the decorations. I ended up ordering a champagne cake with raspberry filling. I had 12 women at the shower, Leighanne advised that an 8" cake would be fine but since I had the spouses of those 12 women hanging out downstairs I went for the 10" cake. The cake looked beautiful and tasted ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Everyone loved it. Sometimes pretty cakes are just pretty but don't taste all that great. That was not the case here. The cake was moist, the filling delicious slightly tart raspberry, and the cake cut beautifully. My daughter and guests were thrilled with the cake. My husband said "the cake was fantastic!" I highly recommend Delicious Designs for cakes that not only look beautiful but that also taste AMAZING! read more

Leigh Anne is a ROCKSTAR!!! These cupcakes were the best thing I've ever tasted, and the design is gorgeous. The flavors are so unique, and she creates stellar flavor profile combos (hazelnut toast was a fav). With no exact photo to go from, she created my dream wedding cake. It was everything I could have wanted. From booking our first appointment to the week of confirmation call and delivery, everything was fantastic. Even when they had to drop off the cakes a little early due to another event, she called and made sure everything was okay and that we were well aware. Leanne (business owner) was so easy to work with and she made the process easy for our son and daughter-in-law to make their flavor selection. This review is long overdue but Leigh Anne and her team are the absolute best! She created my small wedding cake and cake pops and they turned out so beautiful (and were freaking delicious!). She was so responsive to my requests and the quality cannot be beat. We hired Leigh Anne again to create custom cupcakes for my husband's 30th birthday a few months later and they were a huge hit! We will be hiring Leigh Anne for all our dessert needs to come, she's such a gem and so amazing to work with. read more

Leigh Anne is amazing. We knew instantly at our tasting appointment that she was our wedding cake maker. The most exciting part was getting to simply choose which cakes we wanted to taste and test at our appointment. She had everything laid out perfectly and super cute on the plates for my wife, myself and two of our close friends to try. After sampling flavors and working through how to make everything pop with Leigh Anne we knew exactly what we wanted at the wedding. We also were able to decide on cupcakes and cake as the way to serve those delicious flavors to our guests. However, as luck would have it, we decided to change some flavors just before the wedding. Leigh Anne, was not worried one bit, changed the one cake tier we were plotting a change on and never showed an ounce of concern about getting things done. She is a true professional and made everything work just how we wanted. She also delivered the cakes to the reception and saved us the worry of dropping something and ruining the day. She made sure everything looked perfect and not only that, the cake and cupcakes were amazing. The main flavor was lemon and blueberry which is basically the best thing ever in case you needed to test out a flavor. We highly recommend Leigh Anne for wedding cakes, birthday cakes, random Tuesday desserts, etc. She may not be the cheapest at times, but she makes amazing cakes and you'll know every penny was worth it. read more

I can not even being to thank Leigh Anne enough for this truly amazing cake. It exceeded our expectations and not only looks amazing and delicious on the outside the inside tasted just as delicious! Those safety cones were quite tasty! I was having trouble finding someone to make this dream cake come true and finally Leigh Anne said yes and we happened to both have Hudson's :) I was so relieved and happy and excited. Then when it arrived I was beside myself with happiness! My son absolutely loved it and wanted all of the toys on it and just was in awe of it and he definitely loved the inside haha. The whole party of family and friends talked about this cake and how amazing of a job she did. It truly could not have come out better! We cannot recommend Delicious Designs enough. Leigh Anne was an absolute joy to work with! It's SO hard to find someone who can make the cake look gorgeous, taste great, and be affordable, but that's what Delicious Designs does! We got married in South Lake Tahoe and were originally looking for bakers in that area so that we wouldn't have to pay a delivery fee. However, everywhere we looked was SO expensive. Then we stumbled upon Delicious Designs and are SO happy we chose to order not only our cake but other desserts through Leigh Anne. We went to the shop in Reno to do a tasting and got to choose 8 different flavors to taste. They were all so delicious that deciding was pretty hard. We ended up choosing to do two flavors for our two-tier cake (there was no price difference), one being my husband's favorite and the other being my favorite. For my design vision, I wanted to have an ombre effect and had been told by other bakers that this would mean I would have to have a fondant cake, which is more expensive. Leigh Anne was able to make the ombre work with buttercream so that we didn't need to do fondant, and it was absolutely beautiful AND tasted delicious. We also ended up ordering cookies, mini cupcakes, and brownies as well. These were so great and our guests raved about the cookies. Leigh Anne was so flexible because while our venue wasn't able to provide dessert platters for these items, she gave me a fixed price to pay (it was very reasonable) and ended up ordering platters for me that went with our design and decor and were enough to fit all the dessert items. We also got a figurine of our dog made that we wanted included on the cake. We mailed this to Leigh Anne and then she set this up on the cake before delivery. It was SO cute!! She had a delivery fee from Reno to South Shore that was very affordable, and delivery and setup went so smoothly. We cannot thank Leigh Anne and her team at Delicious Designs enough for contributing to our special day! read more

I could not have loved our wedding cake more! We chose a pumpkin cake with cream cheese between the layers and a buttercream frosting. We added pecans because yum. I can't stop eating the cake! It's soooooooooo good. The cake was moist and delicious. Not to mention Leigh Anne is a total sweet heart and was so lovely the whole way through the process. We got to sample several flavors and she really went above and beyond. Im a very anxious person so having someone who was so understanding and sweet really meant a lot. read more

Leigh was an absolute delight to work with and I appreciate her going above and beyond! I live in Seattle, but my mom lives in Reno, which can make celebrating Mother's Day a little tricky! My mom always asks that I support local businesses when gifting her presents, as she loves her city and community. I found Delicious Designs on Yelp, and fell in love with Leigh's cookie designs. I hired Delicious Designs to do my wedding cake and dessert bar. They were professional and incredibly sweet to deal with through the whole process. We got to trial multiple flavors that was packaged to come home. Every flavor was sooo yummy and hard to decide. We went with 2 flavors for the cake and 2 more flavors for the cake pops. The design was absolutely beautiful. My cake area was unspeakably beautiful. I will forever continue to come to this company for any cake or desert needs. 110/100! Thank you For everything! read more

This was my second time ordering cake from Delicious Designs and the experience was great. So it was my girlfriend's birthday and she is into kittens a lot. We contacted Delicious Designs ahead of time and they helped to combine our ideas and make this amazing cake for us. Leigh Anne, the owner of this place, is a really wonderful and creative lady. I have met her few times in her store, she is extremely welcoming and helpful. She will bake the best cake possible for any occasions, but I would suggest to contact her early. The cake tasted delicious and really fresh. I would rate it a 10/10. Would definitely come back. THANK YOU LEIGH ANNE AND HER TEAM. I definitely recommend this bakery to anyone. read more
