    Nachos

The service was great. We were treated when we walked in. The server answered our questions while we ordered. He presented the options for the entrees we were thinking of. The food came out in reasonably short time. The food... 1 breakfast burrito and 1 super nachos Pastor, no beans. Large portions for both. The presentation of the nachos was very appealing. They spread the chips out across the oval plate and covered the chips. Far more coverage area than other places in town. The pico and guacamole (a lot of both) were both fresh and full of flavor. The pastor was crispy on the outside moist, on the inside, full of flavor and there were several fatty pieces as an extra bonus. The burrito was ok, felt that it was bland and a bit dry, not from the lack of sauce on the outside. I was surprised as most of the places I have Chorizo there is much more flavor. It was difficult to tell if I was eating eggs or chorizo. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. While I do not plan to get the burrito again, we are planning on coming back to try come of the other options and/or to try their happy hour!

10/5/2924- In the area and had heard good things- Really nice inside with tables and booths.. Service very attentive- Self serve salsa sauces- Ambiance was great with nice music.. Went with the chicken taquitos-.. One if the best I've had.. and a lot! Tender chicken and nicely crisp.. Chicken enchilada with a green sauce, rice and beans - Better than our regular go to spot!! Most of the time Spanish rice isn't good- but this rice was moist and fluffy.- Glad we stopped and look forward to the next visit- On the menu it did state the first basket of chips are complimentary-think it should be endless to compete with the others.. ($1.99 for the next basket)..

Cinco de Mayo and we went again. Same free chips and visits to the salsa bar. Same caring service and excellent food. Same for me, chile relleno plus a side of rice. My wife chose a street taco and enchilada, beans and rice. Each item was as good as last time or excellent for the first time. It's quite a trip from home to east Sparks but worth it. It'll be worth your trip as well.

Taco salad big enough to take half home.

My first time here. All our food was VERY tasty and VERY reasonably priced. We will be back. I'm getting tired of drive through places so this was nice. Maybe I'm growing up. (:-)

Selection of salsas - SUPER HOT, Medium and Mild - all were delish.

How to make a four and a half star into a five star experience? READ ON! We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. Great place, clean, room between tables, good crowd.. we were seated in a booth and give menus. Immediately received a basket of chips and DH stopped by the salsa bar. We tried three of them and they were all phenomenal. The SUPER HOT Habanero was very good - if you like the heat. We do. We ordered the ceviche as an appetizer - very good. large portion. Took most home .. and I believe DH ate it for a midnight snack. We enjoyed the Carnitas Plate and the Torta - and both were more than we could eat - took half home. But the most important part - the food was super tasty. And the 4.5 to 5 stars? Our waiter brought us a little dish of a warm green salsa - he said he loves this with his carnitas. Just a touch of personal service goes a long way. I wish they had a beer/wine license - at least. It would be great to enjoy a Modelo or margarita with our meal.

Stopped by here last night to check out this new to us Mexican restaurant. Mi Pueblo is in a shopping area next to a gun store and a National Guard recruiting office. The restaurant is very cute and nicely decorated. We walked in and saw a sign that said order here. So we walked up the counter but the guy asked if we were eating there and then said to have a seat. The menu is pretty straightforward with the usual Mexican food. They have a nice variety of proteins as well as vegetarian options. I did notice they don't have combos like a taco and enchilada those are "ala-cart" options with rice and beans and extra $5. They bring you a basket of chips and point you to their salsa bar. The salsa bar had a avocado salsa, a chunky read salsa that had really good flavor and a nice kick, a very thin and watery red salsa that at first I thought had no flavor but ended up with a very nice mild to spicy flavor and last a habanero one which I declined lol I also didn't try the avocado one as I am allergic but my husband tried it and said he really didn't like it. I ordered a ground beef enchilada with red sauce. The meat the red sauce has good flavor. I ordered a crispy ground beef taco which was standard gringo taco but wasn't horrible. The ground beef was a bit greasy but I didn't mind. The rice was good not the best but better than other Mexican places. The refried beans could have had more flavor. My husband got the carne asada steak with shrimp as well as rice and beans. He said it was all very good and had lots of flavor he cleared his plate so I am guessing he liked it. We will be back soon in fact I'd go back tonight!

I heard a new taqueria opened in Sparks and that it was pretty good. I shot over about 4 pm to try out "Mi Pueblo". It's in a strip mall at the corner of Sparks Blvd and Prater Way. I was expecting a taqueria but it's a little nicer than what you would normally expect We were seated and waited on. I ordered the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. The server brought a big bowl of chips and directed us to a salsa bar with a cover to keep it cold Four flavors. Mild, medium, hot and super hot. All were good. Hot was my favorite. The super hot is habanero based so the heat sneaks up on you The fajita was awesome. Very generous portions. Instead of just a bed of sautéed onions there were tomatoes mushrooms and peppers as well Looks like this will be a regular stop for me!

This is our new favorite for authentic Mexican food! I explored all of their salsas and found their green and red salsas were equally delicious. Next time I'm ordering a wet Burrito with both sauces. Lol The salsa bar was delicious, we enjoyed all of them with our chips. The shrimp fajitas were delicious and I stole a bite of my son's chicken quesadilla. Service was friendly and like our previous visit phenomenal! The dining room is cozy and homey! I love the way I feel when I'm here. Oh and they now serve margaritas. I'm so glad the girls in the office at my work suggested this local spot! We'll be seeing you guys more often. I hope you save a seat for my family!

So we have a few back where we are from. So we had to go try it. The place in nice the staff is super friendly. The food was so good taste the same as the other place. The wife loved her burrito bowl. My tacos were so yummy. They have a nice salsa bar. If you're looking for good food stop by and give it a try continue you will not regret it. Cheers !

Great little restaurant! Loved the salsa bar, from mild green to spicy habanero, great flavors! Waiter was attentive. My husband and I both ordered Padre Macho burritos. I took home more than half! I had shredded chicken and my husband chose El Pastor. Chill atmosphere. We definitely recommend and will be back!

Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.

The staff and restaurant were lovely as always, and you really can't beat the views from dining on the outdoor patio overlooking the Marina. If you have general hesitations when it comes to buffet food, you can put them at ease when at the Water Bar, as even the typical 'filler food' like salad and mashed potatoes were out-of-this-world good. I'm not kidding when I say their buffet-style Caesar Salad was better than any made-to-order Caesar I've had. Same goes for their garlicy mashed potatoes, they were heavenly! The poached prawns were prepared perfectly, and the snow crab legs and claws were delicious and easy to eat (if you're used to shelling your own crab). The soy-glazed salmon with wild rice was surprisingly flavorful and melted in my mouth. Even the mac & cheese was rich and creamy- I can't think of a single item I tried that was sub-par. I ended the meal with a slice of carrot cake that I kept thinking about long after I left. It was moist and well-spiced with a very decadent frosting, the perfect end to a delicious brunch. I will say, we weren't aware the cost per person for the buffet was $80 (it wasn't displayed on the buffet menu, our server didn't share this when telling us about the buffet, and we didn't ask). We have no regrets on opting for the brunch buffet, as again all the food was truly incredible. However, an $80 price tag will likely keep us from opting for the brunch buffet again in the future.

I got mine with caramelized onions, baked potato, and fresh veggies. We both got it medium rare. She got hers topped with Point Reyes Blue Cheese crumbles. Her daughter got Filet of Petrale Sole Meuniere. First came a basket of bread. But, two of us are gluten-free. The Waiter made a point to check with the kitchen on all our meals. The steak came out smelling like garlic. It looked so much better than the picture I posted. It was so tender it cut with a butter knife. The color of the steak inside was perfect medium rare. The flavor on the taste buds is what dreams are made of. Some meals we remember for a lifetime. Because every bite is just that scrumptious. I can still almost taste it by just thinking about it. For dessert, we got the classic Bananas Foster, which is made tableside. It is dinner and a show. Bananas Foster is such a decadent treat. The show begins with the melting of the butter, and the aroma will still your breath away. Then add in the brown and white sugars. Several alcohols are used. I believe they use Banana liquor as well as rum. Then a fire is lit in the pan. It sparks when the cinnamon is added. Then the bananas are cooked ever so lightly. Sometimes, too much liqueur is added, and the flavor is off. However, on this night, it was spot on. The sugars and liqueur create a caramel sauce for the bananas, and vanilla ice cream is added. The ice cream that was used tasted like a French Vanilla ice cream with little flecks of vanilla. Each bite was a walk on a cloud. My friends had never had Bananas Foster before. I think they will be back if only for the Bananas Foster. The bananas and caramel with a kiss a vanilla ice cream just send your taste buds to heaven. Each bite will have you desiring more, even if you are beyond full. Each bite is so divine. It tastes so decadent that your mind will be blown that it is bananas and vanilla ice cream. I can't remember the name of our waiter. He was such a delight and made sure we had a great time. This was a meal I will remember for a long time. Thank you to the staff at Duke's Steakhouse. It was even crowded tonight! I've been here before and it was been hit or miss with the crowd, which is a shame because it's so good. I was so happy to see it full. If you ever find yourself in the area, please don't hesitate to stop in and get a meal.

What a hidden Gem!…read more My mom took me to Tang's Kitchen, and oh what a treat that was, thank you mama! We started off with the lunch special, I ordered orange chicken (nice and crispy), and mom ordered the Mongolian chicken, fantastic. Each plate came with a choice of soup: hot and sour or egg drop soup, a large helping of rice and a super delicious egg roll. I will be returning to this place for future family meals. The atmosphere is very nice and easy-going. It has a traditional Chinese restaurant feel and the food the customer service and everyone involved are exceptional. Thank you Tangs Kitchen. If you are looking for some excellent Chinese cuisine visit Tang's Kitchen, you won't be disappointed.

Time tax: Unless you are rolling with someone in a higher tier of the players club you are going to wait. Sad but true, Maybe I was at fault for arriving as late as I did around 7:20pm but I wasn't sat until closer to 8:30. The line was peculiar. So many people skipped ahead. There was only one person at the register. Occasionally the nice blonde manager lady would come over and ring a few parties up, the line went fast for a few seconds, but the chap at the register only worked fast when the manager came by. Otherwise he took his sweet time, he'd only rush if another VIP waiting to skip the line showed up. It was often, this buffet is popular and the skippers show up in force, especially late. Server Attention Tax: the servers on a normal day work hard, they close at 9:00, they warn you when 9 approaches and it's a wrap, on the seafood buffet days they are not motivated, because they stay late. They act like they aren't getting paid for the extra time. I sat down around 8:25 and no one took my drink order till like 8:40. I was worried I would get a single plate but to my surprise they didn't shut down shop right at 9:00 in fact they were still seating people. So that was cool. But the servers are in no rush. I don't want to get all Mr. Rogers about it, but if you get me my beverages sooner, I'll get out of your hair sooner, you are literally prolonging your own suffering here. The seafood Tax Rebate: the seafood is good, fresh fish, crab legs and all the regular sides. Crab is offered seasoned crab boil style or plain steamed, make sure to wander around. Overall: I love to eat good, I'm not crazy about flights, hotels or hardware stores because I don't think value necessarily is affected by where you go. (There are a few exceptions) I think service flavors cuisine, Here the service isn't adding a respectively great flavor. Sure if you spend a lot of money here you should get some priority but even Vegas doesn't forget about the little guy. I felt sorry for the people with kids in the line. Even though my server was slower than forest growth I still tipped them. But like value lost the taste was unpleasant. If you don't like being exposed to prejudice I assure you the 'regular line' WILL make you feel like you have no civil rights. But if you're able to suffer all that for a few rounds of delicious crab then you should go right on ahead, don't let me stop you
