Late-night ice cream runs are always a treat and my visit to La Michoacána this past Tuesday night did not disappoint! I stopped by right before closing and even though it was quiet the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'm no stranger to this chain (usually visit locations in LA) but this particular spot absolutely lived up to expectations. The store was clean, bright, and colorful, with a variety of options to choose from. I picked up a mix of ice cream pops (banana, jamaica, strawberry, arroz con leche, and rompope). Every single one was delicious! I grabbed a few more flavors too, but those stood out as my favorites so far. To top it off, I tried the agua de jamaica, which was perfectly balanced refreshing and not overly sweet. Overall this location delivered exactly what I love about La Michoacána: great flavors, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. This place is so cute and colorful. I would love to host a get together here. It has alot of seating inside. Plenty of parking cable in this shopping complex. I got to practice some Spanish today. I was helped by Gabby and MaryAnn. My order was similar to an ice cream float. Instead of soda they used agua frescas. It definatly hit the spot for a sweet tooth treat. read more

Me and my friend and little came here today! We both got corn with hot Cheetos and had nacho cheese added we got my husband the normal corn, we got hot Cheetos with nacho cheese on them and my little got a strawberry raspado which she absolutely loves especially on a hot day! They have all sorts of ice creams to of that is what your looking for! The inside is cute and very clean! We will definitely be back! read more

Super fun ambiance with options to take cool selfies. I went pretty late, so there was only one girl working the back, but she was super quick. Pricing is on the higher side. Two scoops was close to $8, the crazy milkshake was $13 and paletas is $4. The bubblegum was good, but the coconut was not my favorite. It was a little bitter and tasted more of milk. They do give you big scoops which is nice. They have a large variety of paletas, but at $4 is a bit steep. The crazy milkshake was super messy. I didn't get to take a picture, but my boyfriend said it was good. I would recommend trying it, but sampling the ice cream before ordering. read more

After dinner, we visited this cute dessert and snack spot. Their selection included ice cream, paletas, and other snacks. We ordered bubble gum ice cream, watermelon paleta, and strawberries with cream--all delightful. The spacious seating area, cute decor, invites me to return and explore more menu options. read more

It seems Sparks doesn't have many options for dedicated dessert stops, so this is a fantastic addition to the area! We stopped in a few weeks ago to check it out and I was very surprised by their large menu! There is a great variety of dessert items to choose from and many flavors of ice cream! We opted for a watermelon flavor which was super refreshing! The space is decorated bright and colorful, which makes it very inviting. It is very open with comfortable seating and there is a cute little photo op spot as well as a small handful of game machines. The two girls working were very friendly and patient as we checked out all the different options. Will definitely be back to try more desserts/ice cream flavors! read more

I stopped in with my kids for a sweet treat while in the area. They've been open at this location for about a month and a half. A relative of mine was raving about their coconut ice cream; I knew I had to try . Crystal helped us at the counter and she was very friendly and helpful. We ordered fruta agua fresca, a scoop of bubble gum, cajeta, guava and cookie monster cone. We did want to order an esquite with hot cheetos, but they were out of the crumbs. The dining area was clean and very colorful. Restrooms were clean as well! That's a huge plus! We'll be back when we're in the area. read more

Super cute ice cream shop. Good selection of items to get and super cute interior. Lots of seatings as well. When we went, it was their grand opening so they had live mariachi band playing and it was so incredibly loud that you couldn't even talk to the workers there. The chocolate ice cream texture was like it was made using powdered cocoa, it was gritty. No one likes chocolate ice cream more than I do and i would never order it again. The vanilla ice cream was orange in color, that was a first!!! I tasted it and there was a vague hint of vanilla but it mostly tasted kind of like orange and something else that wasn't really plesant. Of course we didn't know all of this until after we got it. My husband loves vanilla ice cream and he said the flavor was not vanilla and was not good and he never had to get it again if we ever go back there, which we won't. What a shame. The girl waiting on us acted like she didn't want to be there, not one hint of a smile. The inside is strange and unfinished, that could be because they were new, who knows. The employees were so sweet. They went throught the whole menu with us and explained each item. Then they had us try the unique flavors of ice cream. Everything we tried was delicious! I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! read more

Stopped by here yesterday for some chucherias cravings! We got some of our usuals from every other Paleteria in town, Tostiesquites and Bionico. Very good! We can tell corn is not canned which if you know you know. The bionico was on the runny side but very good. Ladies behind the counter were very nice and location was pretty clean. So ouch free space that can be filled with more seating etc. we see the potential. See ya in the summer! read more

TOTAL TRASH. My wife and I came in after dinner after driving by and seeing it. We walked in, and things are nice and colorful. But once you start walking down the line and seeing options of ice cream, everything was everywhere. Super unorganized. The labels did not go to the according ice cream flavor so you didn't know what was what. I asked for a sample of ice cream and when she went to use the little spoon, the whole thing snapped in tiny pieces. The best part was she didn't even attempt to take all the tiny pieces of plastic that broke and just left it in the ice cream. She then went to the back, came back out and told me the one I wanted to sample was in the back but was still liquid so unfortunately I wasn't able to sample it. I was super uncomfortable with the plastic situation, that I ended up purchasing an Oreo ice cream sandwich in a sealed package just to have peace of mind. Right when I opened the package, it had so much freezer burn! And the weird thing was the Oreo sandwich part was soggy and gooey and just tasted like it was super old. My wife bought a paleta and it had the funky aftertaste and we couldn't figure it out. I will never come back or recommend anyone to ever go here. They never have anything in stock. Asked for an elote one time and they didn't have the stick for it asked for it the next time and they didn't have any elotes in general. The girls working at the front are kinda bratty and could only care about sitting back down at the booths with their friends. The food is literally always missing something I ordered the tostilocos and it was missing 2 of the best ingredients. You're better off going across the street to krazy fruits where they have everything in stock and 1000 percent more clean. read more

We've been to this place in Long Beach and were so excited to see one locally. But going into this place with such a high expectation from previous locations ended up being a huge disappointment. We went in only to find out over 1/2 of their options are unavailable. We will stay with our locally owned favorite. I used to go in for a xl cup of horchata they downsized the cup to a medium size and upped the price. The horchata and cucumber lemon chia was so sweet I had to water it down at home. It's a pretty place just too pricy especially taking kids. I'll make the treats at home. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would! To start off, my friends and I walked in and we were treated like we interrupted their hang out session. There was a lady seated in a booth and when we walked in she got up & went behind the station to take our order. She gave horrible service and when my friend asked what was in the Bionico, she rolled her eyes at her and proceeded to name some items in it with an attitude. We let it go & went home with a bionico, tostilocos, and 2 other items. When we got home, my friend tried her bionico and when she tasted the melon, she noticed it tasted extremely sour. Me and my other friend tried it and realized it tasted super nasty(almost moldy), it made my friend sick and she was throwing up nonstop. My other friend got a tostiloco and she noticed that the cueritos has a consistency to them that was almost slimy & gooey. The prices were kind of high as well but we dont mind it if we're paying for something we're going to enjoy (in this case, we didnt). 10/10 do not recommend, just go across the street to Krazy fruits, THAT is a good place to spend your money for a good time, & good snacks! read more
