Came in for a quick date night and had a good time! Good variety in flavors for both the yogurt as well as toppings. Employee was friendly enough and restaurant was clean. All the fruits were fresh which was nice because that can definitely be a huge miss at yogurt and ice cream shops. Only complaint would be all the candies we had were pretty hard and stale. I would rate it 5 stars since usually the experience and yogurt is great however I came tonight (6/22) for a sweet treat at 9pm to see that the employees had put away the fresh strawberries/ cheesecake bites and other toppings pretty early. This was disappointing since those are the only 2 toppings I put in my yogurt and their new hours are open until 10pm. All toppings should be out and stocked until closing time, there were papers that said out of stock while the female blonde employee and brunette boy were just standing there behind the counter talking. This was not a good experience because all other dessert locations were closed as well. I will be telling my family about this poor experience to spread the word how certain toppings couldn't be stocked during the remainder of the hours open. What a shame, we usually spend good money here and tip! read more

UPDATE4-10-19 I was really disappointed to arrive today and discover the "restrooms for customers only" sign taped to the door. It just gives me a feeling of unfriendliness and I decided to drop a star off my original 5 star review. But I'm removing a second star because I decided to read the ingredients list. MOST items here still contain corn syrup which is made from GMO corn if it's not organic. And corn syrup is high fructose anyway. So we opted for an NSA no sugar added to avoid the corn syrup. I'm sadly detecting an aftertaste. I was so excited to discover this place! Yes it's a treat...but with live cultures added they are trying to sound healthy...corn syrup isn't cool in healthy stuff! To be fair I've got to check Menchies ingredients too! ORIGINAL REVIEW... Yogurt Beach is a self serve yogurt AND FROZEN CUSTARD shop. Only chocolate and vanilla custard. They have lots of topping choices. Everything currently costs 44 cents per ounce. We had never been here, but noticed the discounted gift cards at Costco. After reading Yelp reviews we decided it was a lot like Menchies. So we couldn't resist buying cards at Costco. We headed over directly from Costco. Our lucky day, as they had a $5 all you can pile in your cup special all day today. Being huge Menchies fans...we were very disappointed that we COULDN'T get our OWN samples. We had to request samples from THE GUY. Very INCONVENIENT on our first trip. Another disappointment is that the calorie counts are NOT posted on each flavor as they are at Menchies. I had to ask for the book and look up each flavor. I took a picture of it for you. I don't think I'll need samples again because I love the Original Tart and it's a low calorie choice. My husband loves the frozen custard. Basically it's much...MUCH creamier than the yogurts. And very sweet! So as annoying as it was to have to request every sample...and have to look up nutritional info in the book...I'm giving extra stars for being able to save 20% all the time, using the gift cards from Costco. At Menchies they offer $5 all you can pile in a cup specials every Monday after 6pm...or they did the last time we went! But we don't like eating late so it's not really helpful! Here, using the card, we can get a discount any time we come. Personally I think Menchies flavors are better. But the Original Tart is very good here, and it's my favorite so I'm ok. I love this place but don't go often. I wish they had peanut butter yogurt more often. We absolutely LOVE yogurt beach, and come here at least once a week. We have a punch card and frequently get free yogurts. My kids also get 50% off of their yogurt when they come in wearing their uniform after a game. I know of no other business as generous when it comes to coupons and discounts. They also participate in many local fundraisers, including an annual one for our elementary school. The store is always clean, and toppings are always full. I was at the referenced Verizon store a few months back, and they did send us over to yogurt beach when we asked for a restroom. Management has updated their sign to ask Verizon customers to be respectful of their restrooms, but allow them to use it. I applaud management for this. I appreciate a clean restroom as a paying customer, and also appreciate being able to use it if I am at Verizon. Most businesses would have stuck to their "restroom is for customers only" like a lot of other businesses do. I would have respected that also. Their business, their choice. Perhaps Verizon should be encouraged to provide a restroom for their customers. On our most recent visit there was a table where kids could write a letter to Santa. There was also a sign that said "for every letter to Santa, we will donate $1 to the make a wish foundation". It doesn't get much better than that. We love you Yogurt Beach! Thank you for being such a great supporter of our local community!! Lastly, my daughter knows the key to my heart. Two thumbs up! Perfect stop to satisfy the sweet tooth. They offer at least 10 different flavors and they rotate them constantly so be assured that you are going to find something new every time. They have a wide array of toppings. In the center of the shop there is an island that has fresh seasonal fruit, cookie dough or cheesecake pieces. I like how they are constantly refilling the fruit bowls to ensure that it's fresh. On the back of the room there is a row of containers with chocolate chips, graham crackers, candy, gummy bears, and also almonds, pecans and walnuts. The staff is very friendly. They offer two mini cups to sample but they are willing to hand out more if you are indecisive. I had a great time on on my last visit. I had the tropical banana yogurt topped with a very berry assortment and toasted almonds. It was delicious. I sat at one of the community surf boards that function as tables, enjoying the freshness and sweetness of the strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries and listening to the music. Meh. It's about the same quality as always. The kids loved it. The adults tolerated it. It's still covid restrictions except: Masks not required. That's okay, we're vaccinated and choose not to. Others choose to, and that's okay. They took all their tables out and the chairs, too. Because of covid you're allowed to stand inside but not sit. Explain that. They put some chairs outside in the sun but they were all taken so we sat in the van and cranked the AC. As soon as the driver wolfed down hers, we drove home. You have to socially distance according to their signs, but you can still handle all the same utensils, sneeze shields, counters, and yogurt dispensers. The employees don't wear masks and that's okay but quit saying covid drove the tables out. The employees yakked to each other the whole time we were weighing and paying. Some friendly but heated teen discussion. They have a tip jar on the counter but we did all the work, start to finish. I was under the impression that tips were for outstanding service. There is zero service here. Four or five hourly teens doing nothing. You could seriously have one person, two for safety. $27 for partially melted semi-frozen yogurt we ate in the van. Next time I'll just get ice cream at the store and eat it at home. read more

The ladies were very helpful in everyway possible even offered us some samples of flavors I was in to trying but after trying the "Hawaiian Coconut" I was sold when I tried it. It was so yummy! I loved it. From the yummy flavors of yogurt, well it was time to add some more yumminess to it, Yogurt Beach has maybe the most in toppings! From gummies, to nuts, even candies to put on top of your favorite flavor you picked out. Now after I grabbed up my yogurt and toppings I it was time to check out, now they charge you by the pounds, not a certain price. Unlike some yogurt businesses it's up to you and what you want, but your going to pay for what you want and the amount you like. So overall yogurt Beach is a beautiful experience and it's a wonderful family oriented business that welcomes everyone and their dogs to this location. Yogurt Beach offers a great selection of yogurt and their staff is very friendly. Currently (January 2015) the prices are $0.42/ounce so it is pretty reasonable. I like that their toppings are always fresh and the place is always clean. My favorite yogurt combination is blackberry and cake batter with fruit toppings. If you are a first time visitor to Yogurt Beach, or if you just don't know quite what you want, be sure to ask to sample different flavors. It was good enough I'll rate it four stars. I liked most of the yogurt I got and the toppings. The only thing I didn't like was the fresh pineapple, which was dry and too fibrous. It didn't really taste like pineapple. I liked the Oregon blackberry yogurt the best. Good flavors and a nice tartness. I got a blend of banana and strawberry also. The strawberry was meh but the banana tasted nice. A nice variety of toppings. The sour gummies were a little big. It would be nice if they chopped them up. The almonds were tasty. It cost 33 cents an ounce and my yogurt came to $4.76 even though I was trying to keep it relatively small. But I enjoyed it. This is in the same shopping center as CostPlus. Yogurt beach is definitely my favorite place for a sweet treat during the day. The shop is colorful and their decoration is really cute. Their yogurts are really good! They have traditional flavors like vanilla, tartar and chocolate but they also have seasonal flavors. Something really cool about this place is that they have at least a SUGAR FREE flavor.
