Just this past weekend I had a chance to visit Los Altos and it did not disappoint. The ambiance felt vaguely familiar, similar to another breakfast spot closer in town, but regardless I was hungry. The wait was about 15 minutes for a party of two. We waited inside what appeared to be a busy Saturday morning with families coming in to get their fix. I'm feeling sweet and savory today. A Tres Leches French toast combo with bacon, scrambled eggs and country style potatoes. Fritzie W. loves her eggs benedict. Almost any flavor, any style, covered in a salsa de verde for her Los Altos bene. Man, the flavors. The French toast was delicious, the tres leches sauce, wasn't too sweet, but just enough to let you know it means business. So good. You can't go wrong with eggs, bacon and potatoes. Fritzie's let me try her Benedict it was really good, prepared right--flavorful, savory. Nothing prepared was overdone, the servings were satisfying and our waitress was kind and accommodating along with the manager that shift having visited our table briefly to see how we were enjoying our meal. Truly a satisfying experience. The price, affordable for two, under $40. You can't beat that. Granted Pyramid Way is a bit of a trek, if you're out this way, check them out. Tell them I sent you. They won't do anything special for you, but just remind them I'll be back lol.

Well, they won't be pulling this review, unless they want to break federal law as my disclaimer at the end will explain. I love the decorations, and all of the different alien stuff, and just random decorum that actually works for this place. People can also sign their name and put stickers on the wall! Anyhow, I've been coming to these for years. The one in Carson City also. I've actually been interested in buying into one of these franchises, because everyone that I've been to have been super successful, but its a cool $¼M just to get started. They have a good diverse menu, and they have mimosas by the pitcher. Of all the times I've been to these, I've only had a subpar meal one time, and that was a few times ago when I ordered the chorizo Benedict. I think they were training a new cook, but the eggs were way overcooked, but they were happy to bring me better eggs. This particular visit, Tony was my server. He is excellent! I'm pretty sure that he's waited on us somewhere down the line, but super on top of things, super happy, just a really good dude, so ask to sit with him if you want top notch service! This visit, I ordered the traditional Benedict. I'm an eggs Benedict FIEND, and every time I come here I always say I'm going to order something different, but I generally don't. I do on occasion, but this bene I ordered yesterday was ON POINT! Large eggs, poached perfectly, perfect hash browns, creamy rich hollandaise sauce, and I even ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, which were perfect. Haley brought our food to us out of the kitchen, she was super nice and told us we could rely on her if we needed anything special! Squeeze in is always pretty much a guaranteed home run. Sometimes the wait times are crazy, which is a good thing, but you can always check in online. I checked in online before I left the house yesterday, had about an 8 minute drive, and was seated within 3 minutes of getting there. But other times, I've checked in 20 minutes before arrival, and still had to wait 10 or 20 minutes. Regardless, to me it's worth the wait. Thanks squeeze in, thanks Tony, thanks Haley, we'll be seeing you again soon! To Yelp: I don't work here. I don't own this place. I'm not a shareholder. I'm not affiliated with this business other than being a faithful paying customer. I wouldn't advise pulling this review. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. After parking, there were two doors/exits. We came in from the side and had to walk around to the front. There were a lot of people so we got on the waitlist. There is plenty of space inside to sit and wait. It's a lot larger on the inside than I expected with many tables so the wait was not too long. Once we were seated, we got our drink orders in and the server came to greet us. They had a lot on the menu so it took a bit to look through everything. I got the pancake combo and it was good. They gave me scrambled eggs instead of over medium eggs, and the server was quick to get the kitchen to make the correct eggs. I would love to try other items on the menu because it all looks really good. The atmosphere was decorated for Christmas, and there was a mural on the wall. It felt very cozy like you're being welcomed into someone's home for a meal. It does get very loud since they have so many tables and it is all one large open space. To pay, we go up to the counter. Overall, I am glad we found this place! The service and food were good. Definitely will come back and try other items on the menu.

Sauce had slight lemony flavor. Crab cake was pretty thick. Giving it 3 of 5 stars. Joe's Scrambles did not skimp on ingredients. Scrambled eggs with ground beef, mushroom, bell peppers, onions and cheese. 4/5 stars. Came with your choice of potatoes, choice of toast and a wedge of cantaloupe. The French Toast came with eggs, bacon, and country sausage for additional $3. French Toast was standard but the country sausage was special. Two sausage patties that look like small hamburger patties; soo good. Best sausage I've had; combo of slight sweetness, saltiness and peppery. French toast was 3/5 but the Sausage patties were great; 5/5. Looked like they made them in house. Country potatoes side was good too. Good portion and we'll seasoned. We showed up around 10:00am and got a table right away. By the time it's 11:00am, there's a line. Staff were very nice and quick.

Another Peg's location-another winner…read more We've been regulars at Peg's since the early days when they only had one, downtown spot. I first heard about it when Esquire magazine proclaimed it to be the best breakfast in America. To quote the writer: "served in a skillet the diameter of a small umbrella". Obviously, there is a soft spot in my heart and nostalgia about that location, but due to it's smaller size and popularity, we decided to drive over to Sparks and check out this other Peg's (they have 5 locations now in total in the Reno metro area). Placed in the strip mall with ample parking, Sparks location is much bigger than the OG Sierra St., but not less busy. We probably got lucky , since they had two open tables, and were seated right away. A minute later, there was already a wait list. When it comes to Peg's I always order the same thing-Huevos Rancheros skillet with the side of bacon. If I was not super-hungry, this meal might have been enough for 2 and comes with all the fixings: hash browns, coleslaw, beans, pico, and a slice of fruit. Esquire article still holds true after all these years: Peg's might still be the best breakfast in the country. Add that coffee is always piping hot and refilled quickly, service quick and efficient, and it's hard to chose another place for breakfast in Northern Nevada. The only thing that could make it better is is to have a bloody mart to pair with the skillet, but there are plenty places nearby for that. Needles to say...until next time.

Everyone was really friendly. Our server, Kelsea, greeted us and took our drink order soon after we sat down. We both ordered one of the lunch specials that came with two ribs, a pulled pork slider, Kickass Fries, and a drink. It arrived quickly and was a lot of food. The ribs were meaty, the pork slider was overflowing with tender pulled pork, and the Kickass Fries were, well... kickass. If you've never had them, they're fries covered with a generous amount of pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese, with sour cream on the side. If you order them off the main menu, they can also be customized several different ways. We were really happy with both the food and the service, and we'll definitely be back in the near future.

There was a short wait; it was somewhat busy, but not as busy as it should have been for a Saturday night. I had the baked potato with the beef, and opted for the three-meat sampler. The potato was a good size with decent presentation, and perfectly made. The sampler seemed smaller, with very small meat portions--pulled pork, brisket, and finally pork ribs. I dug into my potato, which was cooked perfectly, but the brisket was all fat--I mean all fat. My husband's brisket was also all fat, along with large fat chunks in the pulled pork. I couldn't eat the pulled pork, so left pretty much the entire portion. The ribs were the top of the rack with four ribs; again, the top one was all fat, and the other three were pretty good. The dry rub could have used a bit more salt, but overall, it was tasty. The server was a bit annoyed when I shared my observation after the meal. I didn't want to say anything during the meal, as we didn't have time for the meat replacement to come out. Overall, I gave BJ's a two-star rating based solely on the food. The meal was quite expensive, making a second visit unlikely, so I probably won't be back.
