I came at prime lunchtime on Saturday. Service was excellent. I ordered my traditional Chili Rellano à la carte and it was more than enough to stuff me full. I guess they picked the big chili for me. (:-) Chips come with a mild salsa and small refried beans. Soooo NICE! I love refried beans, but I could never eat a whole plate of them and I always order à la carte so I really enjoyed the addition today. . They asked several times if I wanted more chips. This is truly a family business where they want every customer to feel special! Thank you I think that the fact that they serve this little bowl of refried beans with the chips will bring me back. Honest review here: Nothing against anyone. I was excited to try this place and the staff were very kind. I ordered the 3 chicken taco combo (flautas) and a agua de tamarindo. The rice was a bit moist and overcooked but good flavor. The beans were good not too salty or over-seasoned and not too plain. I did not like the salsas I felt they were a bit lacking in flavor. I did try both red and green. Overall this meal was a bit plain for my taste. Maybe it was just the dish I chose but I would not discourage anyone from coming here. It's a great place for carry out but kind of cold and plain for dining in. Not vary warm and inviting but recommended for carry out. The staff are as friendly as can be and it appears to be run by a family. I like to give these types of restaurants my business. I ordered the enchiladas chicken, carnitas, asada.... They were ok.....not amazing at all. Acceptable. I was told by a Mexican that the best way to tell if a place is good is based on the taste and quality of the rice and beans. Well, these were just ok. Like I said, the ambiance is plain jane and the service was good, attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean. They brought out chips and salsa with bean dip. Salsa not great. Bean dip was decent. I probably should try tacos next time as I see that they get pretty good reviews. Overall, not bad but nothing special either. Ordered out from this New Mexican restaurant near my house and it was excellent. I got a carne asada super burrito that included beans, rice, guacamole (super fresh and delicious), and cheese. The carne was chopped small and was tender and juicy, the burrito was very flavorful and had a perfect slight grill toast on the tortilla. My wife had the shrimp burrito and it had fresh shrimp and was packed with flavor. I'm not sure what all was in it but it was amazing, highly recommend. Prices are very reasonable. We ordered grub hub this particular time so not sure about the service or atmosphere but the food is excellent. Will definitely be back...soon! read more

After not finding something I wanted to eat at the punk rock flea market I searched for literally "good tacos near me." This was the second recommendation and less than 10 minutes from where I was so I headed on over. I am so glad I did! Authentic street tacos with plenty of flavor! I got three of the chicken tacos and they were amazing. Just like you would get at a food truck which is a huge compliment in my book. I didn't get to try anything else on the menu because it was just me and I needed something quick to eat but I 110% have this on my list of places to come back to. It was truly that good. And that's just based on their street tacos! I will say that you can tell a lot of about a Mexican restaurant based solely on their tacos. They're usually one of the least expensive things on the menu but tells you a lot about the restaurant. So based on that, solid thumbs up. When the server (owner??) approached me, I told him I was in a rush (lunch break). He assured me they would take care of me. It was a Tuesday evening, I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't busier, but it was nice and quiet. Service was top notch! They service chips, salsa and a bean dip - I wasn't fond of the bean dip but my friend really liked it. The salsa was SOOOO GOOD, we had it refilled. We ordered fajitas, which were very fresh and well seasoned - absolutely delicious! They have cheesecake for dessert - a few different options. We got ours to go, and it was also very good. First time trying it out. Ordered the torta cubana and was amazing. Milanesa was perfect and had amazing flavor. Only down side is the place is somewhat hard to find if you're not paying attention. I had their huevos rancheros. The eggs were overcooked and they were at the bottom of the plate covered with beans rice and potatoes? I never had potatoes in my huevos rancheros. If you order to go you do not get chips and salsa you have to order it separately. I think that's probably my biggest gripe. You should get chips and salsa with to go orders if you're ordering the same thing that people are ordering when dining inside. That's a scam to make you order it separately. Also if you want a quick bite this is not the place for you. Do not come here on your lunch hour. They take forever to serve. I've been sitting here for 20 minutes. And I ordered a burrito.
