Came here for La Condesa's 4th anniversary party and finally understood all the hype with this place. Even though they were busy, the service was fast and friendly. The patio seating was perfect for enjoying live music on a warm evening. The dishes have some of the freshest ingredients and most complex flavors I've tasted in town - outshining many restaurants with significantly higher price points. The best thing is that there's something on the menu for everyone - fusion Italian, American, Latin, and Asian. The one thing I'd like to see in the future is a dedicated dance floor when there's live music - especially with the patio advantage. People started carving out their own dancing space anyway (and unintentionally blocked the view of the stage for others). It's worth noting that it's not easy to find parking in this area, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time for street parking. read more

Calamari and the chips and salsa were the only things worth getting The rib eye tacos were underwhelming. Al pastor tacos had maybe less than an ounce of meat. It was mostly veggies and odd non traditional flavors. The fish tacos were under seasoned and RAW. Let me say our server was completely RUDE. When I brought the raw fish taco to her attention, she said "well it's fish so it's not like you're going to get sick if you eat it raw". Although she comped this off our bill (rightfully so), I did not appreciate being told it'll be fine to eat something raw. That completely goes against health department standards. I DID NOT COME HERE FOR SUSHI. I came here for Mexican food CHECK YOUR STAFF. Fab food. They have a new meeting room or large party room. Had the short fib fried rice and was not as happy with it as I have in the past. It used to be a very large portion of rice. This time it was like 3/4 of a cup of rice with sliced beef ribs over it. The portion size was a dissappointment for the $29 price. While there was enough meat, they really skimped on the rice and c'mon, this is the cheapest part of the dish. The grilled octopus with chirizo and papas is amazing and the beet sald, which I did not have this time, but have enjoyed in the past is amazing. Go sit at the bar. Everything we ordered was delicious. Started with the Tamarindo Rush--super tasty and refreshing. We shared a bunch of appetizers: potato taquitos, ceviche, pork belly bao buns, octopus, fries, plus chips and salsa. The ceviche was the standout--perfectly balanced flavors and fresh yellowtail cut into small cubes. So good. The potato taquitos were loaded and flavorful, the bao buns were a hit (my daughter loved the bun itself), and the octopus was incredibly tender--cooked perfectly. This might be my favorite restaurant in Reno. Menu has a great variety of options to choose from. Pasta, tacos, pizza, steak, wings, ceviche, etc. With flavor inspirations from Mexico, Korea, Italy, Spain and many more countries. Something for everyone with no bad choices. Their cocktail options and quality have improved over the years as well. Service is always great. Friendly and attentive staff, never had a bad experience here. I've been to La Condensa several times, and the food is fantastic! This is my first time trying the ceviche, since I often get the mushroom tacos, but both are super flavorful. I also really love the Totopos as a tasty and unique appetizer, way better than just plain tortilla chips. The wait staff are friendly. We heard about their 4 year anniversary so we had to go. The service is exceptional and the food is outstanding. On this night, we had the chilaquiles and ceviche. I love how they make their chilaquiles sauce, especially on their homemade tortilla chips. Every ingredient in the ceviche was so fresh and rich. Bests my uncle's ceviche, La Condesa has outstanding ceviche! I've had other dishes at La Condesa and they've all been so good. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp tacos. They looked delicious when they arrived. There was nothing served with the tacos, so $23 was a bit pricey. I'm sure we won't do this again. The tacos did need salt, which we had to ask for. It came in a cute little salt shaker, and for the size it was surprisingly easy to use. Meaning that the salt came out nicely. The tacos were extremely messy. They were so messy that we decided to bring most of them home. They're actually good cold. We saw baskets of chips on the counter, but we were never offered any so I'm not sure how that works. By the way, parking is quite difficult. A perfect experience!!! From walking in to the sounds of their Wednesday night live music..to the choose of inside or outside seating. Sharp and deliberate decor with plenty of room between tables! I was a little surprised where La Condesa Eatery is located. I had read about it, been wanting to try it (especially after reading about it in a "best of Reno" article), and had obliviously driven by it many times! It's kind of tucked away with limited parking. The restaurant and patio are super cute! Apparently the building used to house an auto repair shop, complete with roll-up garage doors which face its patio today. It was a hot day, so I started off with a refreshing margarita on the rocks. We happened to arrive during their Happy Hour during which they offer $6 food specials, cocktails, and house wines from Monday through Thursday, 4-6 p.m. We ended up sampling several of the Happy Hour dishes including Caesar Salad, French Onion Mac & Cheese, Caccio e Pepe, and Totopos with Cheese & Crema. We probably liked the mac & cheese the best because it wasn't as heavy as it sounds and it had a nice flavor. Our server was friendly. I can't believe I didn't see this place earlier! First off I want to say thank you to the wonderful server who asked me if it was my first time at this restaurant and who talk to me about recommendations on the menu. What a sweet lady. I've honestly never had a server that kind second up is the ambience! What a cool place. Music videos on TVs with really good music. Amazing art on the walls and beautiful furniture, the bar looks great, and there was some areas in the back to hang out that looked like they could be fun for big parties of people. Third and most important thing is the food! My goodness, the pork belly bao buns were one of the best tasting dishes I've had in a while. I just came back from a trip from Las Vegas and it was on par with the high end quality and taste of the food out there. I think the next time I go I'm just gonna order two of those ha ha. I also got the ugly delicious burger. And it sure wasn't ugly. It actually looks amazing and super tasty. I added a video of me cutting it open for those that were curious. I saw another review doing it and I thought that was a cool idea and decided to remake. Also the drinks are great. Good taste and great bartender. Unfortunately my experience was not as positive as I thought it would be. We had called ahead and reserved a table for 15 people. When we arrived they said that there was no such reservation and we had to wait to get seated. It was nice to get seated in a private area, but we also had to wait for a long time before a server came in to check in on us. As for the food, I thought some dishes were good and others were just ok. The potato taquitos were definitely delicious and for my main entree, the short rib fried rice, was just ok. A warm summer evening brought us back into the courtyard at La Condesa for a date night meal. Lucky us. From the setting, to the food, to the service was PERFECTION. We arrived hungry. And without a reservation again, yikes, but came in just before peak dinner service so we were stoked to be able to snag a table outside. We over-ordered. But mama didn't raise no quitter so of course we rose to the occasion. We had drinks - a Tamarindo Rush & a Bravo Old Fashioned - both stellar. For food, we ordered the tiger prawn arepa, the barbacoa taquitos, the calamari and their special that evening, paella, which also came with a garlicky, bright Caesar salad. ALL amazing. OK, I could've sworn that I reviewed this place last year when I came for my birthday, but I don't know where my review is so here you go again. The staff is phenomenal. Alina was super attentive and friendly . The place is beautiful, has plenty of seating and the food It is top notch- because I cannot find better words to describe it. This time we order the gambas al ajillo as appetizer and they were absolutely delicious not only where they super well seasoned but the salsa macha made them 1000% better. We ordered the ribeye tacos, which were very filling (aka Bien reportados - for my spanish speakers) and the ugly delicious burger; which was indeed very good looking and delicious. And I know nobody comments on the chips and salsa but as a true Mexican, I appreciate real totopos!! And I know those were made in house because they were thick and crunchy and just delicious! What an absolutely amazing dinner!! There were 10 of us and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals!! Collectively we ll greed we would love to go there again! I had the Korean short ribs and fried rice. It was absolutely delicious. Every bite was so good. My husband joked that I didn't even leave one grain of rice! The restaurant was quite busy, however it didn't feel too busy and our food came quickly! Let's start with the flavors--simply put, this is hands down the best restaurant in Reno. The tacos, the calamari, the bao... do not skip the bao. Even if you hate mustard, order them anyway. You won't be sorry. Alina, our server, went way above and beyond, and Orlando came out to personally greet us and walk us through the food, which made the experience even more special. This is honestly the best meal we've had in Reno, not just because of the food, but because of the care behind it. The restaurant itself is stunning. What a beautiful evening on the patio of La Condesa! I've been eyeing La Condesa for a while as it is one of the most consistently highest rated places on Yelp. They have several recognitions including being in the current top 100 US restaurants. We were seated quickly for a 6pm reservation and even though our res was for inside they let us sit on the wonderful courtyard patio. Our drink order and appetizer came out quickly and the food not long after that. We shared the tacos, one order of the shrimp and one order of the ribeye tacos. Both tacos were incredible, full of flavor, and very fresh. The ribeye meat was incredibly tender and so well seasoned. Both of the sauces that came with each dish were also perfectly paired. We finished the evening with the mango cheesecake flan. A perfectly light dessert that fresh tasting and super satisfying on a warm evening. I think pricing here is completely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. They also have some very unique dishes which are priced respectively. I love accessible quality dining and La Condesa is certainly that. There are so many items on the menu at La Condesa that I'd love to try. I can't wait to return and try some more. read more

La Condesa Eatery is located on Wells ave and I caution those visiting here that parking is a bit of a hassle. That being said, the food, ambiance, and vibes are well worth the parking hassle. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday and I found the place lace to be warm and welcoming. The food is a blend of Mexican, Korean, and other cultures. I order the Kobe Beef Ravioli which came with herb salad. I substituted the citrus vinaigrette with the key lime vinaigrette. I was surprised by the salad being placed directly on top of the raviolis. But I really enjoyed the raviolis, which were light but very filling. I didn't care for the salad, finding the greens to be too bitter for me. My son ordered the Black Angus Rib tacos, which turned out to be three corn tortillas the size of small street tacos. They were filled generously with beef, pico de gallo, and cilantro. They came with guacamole also. My son said they were the right amount of spice and filled him up nicely. My daughter ordered the Grilled beef short rib fried rice. It was a very generous portion and she ended up sharing with my son. She told me that rice was done perfectly and the matcha salsa had a unique but enjoyable flavor. The restaurant also has a well curated wine and cocktail menu but we did not try anything off it. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the price as well as the service. The food was excellent and this place is absolutely ADORABLE! Came here for a double date night and apparently you need a reservation but the host said we were fine since they weren't that busy. They sit us down and we wait about 15-20 minutes until a server comes up to us and in take our order/introduce themselves. We also waited quite awhile for water to be brought to the table as well. We had to go up to the bartender to ask for our order to be taken because our server was taking forever. Once the food came though, all was right in the world. We got the bao buns, wings, poke tostada as well as some taquitos. Finished off with the coconut flan and the cheesecake. One other thing was that I got a greyhound and the juice didn't taste that great and it was almost 100 percent juice. Barely any alcohol in it. Who doesn't love a big patio for outdoor dining on a nice Summer's day ( we were there before the July heatwave ) . Charcoal grilled octopus, guajillo salsa, garlic aioli, black garlic oil. The plate was also dotted with small slices of golden potato and small bits of chorizo. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted amazing the octopus was firm but delicious and the combination of all the ingredients on this plate was Heaven ! The sauce was the bomb! Deciding on the main dish took awhile, we wanted to try everything! We decided on sharing a thin crust pizza. Our choice being a Chicken-Cilantro Pizza with a curry béchamel , red onion, and Serrano chiles and a cheese blend that included smoked feta. This was Perfection! I forgot about this sweet little spot and I'm glad the ladies at Wylde Market Collective suggested La Condesa which is located right behind the market. My mom and I ordered margaritas. One traditional and the other one was blackberry hibiscus. Both were delicious. I also ordered the Potato Taquitos. Beautifully played and so fresh.
