Wow! We went to dinner for a friends birthday and La Condesa exceeded my expectations! We made a reservation online about 2 hours before we came, which was nice to get in that easily. Parking can be a bit difficult but it's midtown so that's to be expected. We were sat quickly, but the sun ended up being right in our eyes and our server noticed and moved us right away. We ordered the bao buns, fish tacos, octopus, ceviche and chips and salsa and everything was delicious and cooked perfect, especially the octopus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself was cute and offered both indoor and outdoor seating and had such a nice vibe to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend for a nicer dinner out!

Have enjoyed Dinner here many times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]With a very creative menu, featuring a nice variety to an upbeat casual atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is the second time I had the ahi tuna tostada. Crispy corn tortilla topped with guacamole, fresh ahi tuna, a snappy chili oil glaze finished off with micro greens. Totally wonderful! Service by Alisa, as usual was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would recommend sneaking in and trying this dish.

I haven't found a Mexican restaurant in Reno that serves fresher dishes. These plates are So Delicious with so much flavor and freshness. We will always come back here. Excellent service and Excellent Mexican cuisine.

Love the flower in the drink.

This place was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the outdoor dining area that was well shaded, but had a balance of sun and shade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The mocktail selection was great and the margarita I had was excellent in terms of flavor and presentation. Extremely polite staff, warm, welcoming and made sure our area and our menus were presentable. This place gave an excellent first impression.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was 5/5 for me but the service and ambiance was 2/5 so I'll settle on a 3 overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. To start off with the good, I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it was so good. I wasn't sure what to expect ordering such a simple meal at a gourmet restaurant but I was really happy with my choice. Chicken was great, veggies were fresh and a great portion, sauce was delicious, bun was nice and soft. And it came with a ton of fries that I wasn't even able to finish. My friend also got a beet salad that she shared with me and it was so good probably the best beet salad I've had. Now for the bad. The parking here is absolutely horrible. Part of me hates complaining about street parking because the restaurant really doesn't control that, but the other part of me can't understand why you would open a restaurant in a town with very low walkability/ public transport, in an area with no parking.... I had to park a few streets away, the streets had no sidewalks so I was forced to walk in the street, and overall felt unsafe walking by myself to the restaurant. For this alone, I probably wouldn't come back.... [[HIGHLIGHT]]Second, we sat outside and there was live music playing and it was so loud we couldn't hear a single person at the table. We came for book club and we literally had to wait for the band to have a break and then quickly talk as fast as possible about the book before they started their next song.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We specifically sat outside because we some of the girls at our meeting had been to La condessa before and said the acoustics inside are bad and it's loud and hard to hear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Last point being service. Pretty horrible service I was very disappointed. Took forever to get our orders. One order came out wrong but our friend ate it anyway. Two orders never came out at all. The staff had to be reminded to bring things out constantly. 3 of our party didn't get their ordered cocktails until half way through the dinner and about 35 minutes after the ordered them. The waitress seemed frazzled and kept saying sorry I'm busy, but then did nothing to rectify or put any extra attention to our table despite seeing over and over that she was failing. Not sure if this was an off night, outdoors didn't seem that busy. Maybe inside was busier im not sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall was not impressed with the service and too loud to talk but if you come with a smaller party and want to listen to loud music, then it's probably a good spot for you. And the food is great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you're looking for a standout Mexican fusion spot in Midtown, La Condessa absolutely delivers. The birria taquitos are a must-order--you won't be disappointed. Packed with flavor and perfectly crisp, they easily steal the show. The cocktails are just as impressive--refreshing, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the bold flavors on the menu. Prices are comparable to other Midtown eateries, making it a great spot for a casual night out without breaking the bank. Between the vibrant flavors, great drinks, and solid value, La Condessa is definitely worth a visit.

One of my favorite places in town and always a lively fun atmosphere with good food. I thought my shrimp was a little undercooked and under seasoned on the Caesar salad but other than that everything was spot on.

Came here for La Condesa's 4th anniversary party and finally understood all the hype with this place. Even though they were busy, the service was fast and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio seating was perfect for enjoying live music on a warm evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The dishes have some of the freshest ingredients and most complex flavors I've tasted in town - outshining many restaurants with significantly higher price points. The best thing is that there's something on the menu for everyone - fusion Italian, American, Latin, and Asian. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one thing I'd like to see in the future is a dedicated dance floor when there's live music - especially with the patio advantage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] People started carving out their own dancing space anyway (and unintentionally blocked the view of the stage for others). It's worth noting that it's not easy to find parking in this area, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time for street parking.

La Condesa has been on the list to visit for a while. I'm glad we tried it, will I go back?, maybe, but no hurry. I met a friend at 3:30. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside on their patio which was very enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a beer and mojito... no draft beer and it was warm when I got it, mojito was average I was told. Had 2 appetizers, Tiger Prawn Arepa , 3 prawns (medium size) a top of a corn cake and salsa, Definitely order this, this was delicious. The other appetizer was the Potato Taquitos ... they were cooked perfectly , but honestly they really didn't have a whole lot of flavor. We ordered 2 more beers. Our waitress was very sweet but not attentive, brought us our check before we were done, needed exact change because her shift was over and said someone would take care of us if we wanted anything else. Never saw another server. I would like to go back to try there Tacos but really I won't be in a hurry.

Fab food. They have a new meeting room or large party room. Had the short fib fried rice and was not as happy with it as I have in the past. It used to be a very large portion of rice. This time it was like 3/4 of a cup of rice with sliced beef ribs over it. The portion size was a dissappointment for the $29 price. While there was enough meat, they really skimped on the rice and c'mon, this is the cheapest part of the dish. The grilled octopus with chirizo and papas is amazing and the beet sald, which I did not have this time, but have enjoyed in the past is amazing. Go sit at the bar. Their cocktails are absolutely incredible. They have mezcal manhattans and all kinds of funky delicious libations.

This place was completely off putting. Pretty on the inside but the food lacks and the service was horrible. The best thing about this place was the art. Calamari and the chips and salsa were the only things worth getting The rib eye tacos were underwhelming. Al pastor tacos had maybe less than an ounce of meat. It was mostly veggies and odd non traditional flavors. The fish tacos were under seasoned and RAW. Let me say our server was completely RUDE. When I brought the raw fish taco to her attention, she said "well it's fish so it's not like you're going to get sick if you eat it raw". Although she comped this off our bill (rightfully so), I did not appreciate being told it'll be fine to eat something raw. That completely goes against health department standards. I DID NOT COME HERE FOR SUSHI. I came here for Mexican food CHECK YOUR STAFF. You can be friendly all you want, but never checking on us when the restaurant was half empty and saying comments like that will result in a mediocre tip and a customer who will never return.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Started with the Tamarindo Rush--super tasty and refreshing. We shared a bunch of appetizers: potato taquitos, ceviche, pork belly bao buns, octopus, fries, plus chips and salsa. The ceviche was the standout--perfectly balanced flavors and fresh yellowtail cut into small cubes. So good. The potato taquitos were loaded and flavorful, the bao buns were a hit (my daughter loved the bun itself), and the octopus was incredibly tender--cooked perfectly. My husband spotted the fish tacos at another table and had to order them... zero regrets. Huge piece of fish, fresh slaw, and perfect yellow corn tortillas. The homemade chips were some of the best we've had. Service was a little slow at first, but everyone was friendly. The chef even brought out our fish tacos and welcomed us, which was a really nice touch. Great food, great vibes--we'll definitely be back.

Parking was a b*tch. It's right at the Wells roundabout with maybe four spaces if the odds are in your favor. To be fair, the area is historic and parking is always a gamble, but still... brace yourself. I did find a long hair in my food. Not ideal. But I was already committed, so I discarded, regrouped, and powered through. That said, the food slapped.! Appetizers - Guacamole: Truly amazing. I'm picky about guac because most places overdo it and ruin it. This one was balanced, fresh, and done right. - Gambas al Ajillo - Savory, mouthwatering, with a solid kick (about 2 out of 5 spice). Would absolutely order again. Mains - Gobernador Tacos: Juicy, saucy, and generous. The extra side sauce was clutch. I ordered these as a backup because the menu we were given wasn't updated (I originally wanted the Korean BBQ short ribs). - Grilled Beef Short Rib: Excellent flavor, served over rice, and the egg on top tied everything together nicely. Drinks - Tamarindo Rush: Mezcal brings the smoke, tamarind adds sweetness, Tajín gives it a little edge. Solid cocktail. - La Sirena: The winner of the night. Sweet, sultry, dangerous in the best way. The siren indeed. Bottom line: Parking stress and a hair mishap aside, the food and drinks absolutely delivered..

I was glad that I did finally drop in. Located in a little strip mall on Valley Road, it's an unassuming place from the outside. The inside is small, but comfortable and it felt very "homey". When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was the smell of delicious food wafting through the air. The tastes did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly by a personable young man that brought us water. The owner then brought us our drinks...a margarita for my dining companion and a Mandarin Jarritos for me. My sip of the margarita tasted amazing! Great balance and flavor. We also received a basket of chips and salsa. You could tell that they were made fresh to order. The chips were crispy and hot. The salsa was outstanding...fresh cilantro...balanced combination of flavors with a nice, subtle kick of spiciness at the back end. Not too spicy...just right. I usually have to ask for something hotter...not in this case. The food was amazing! My dining companion ordered the Chile Relleno plate and I got the Molcajete. The prices are outstanding and the amount of food? Huge plates! My Molcajete was sizzling hot and overflowing with chicken, beef, shrimp, nopales and ground beef mixed with veggies. A large plate of refried beans and spanish rice also accompanied this presentation. Fresh, hot, delicious corn tortillas rounded out each of our orders. We were also given a couple of squeeze bottles of sauces...green and red...to add to our meals if we wanted. Freshly made and the bottles were presented in a plastic tub filled with ice to keep them cold. Great addition to the already amazing food! There's also a nice selection of Mexican hot sauces on the table for you to choose from. We both took to-go boxes...so much food! Mine lasted for 2 more meals! I plan to return on a regular basis...this is now one of my favorite local places for great Mexican food. As always, I suggest that you visit to see what YOU think...

We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Got here at 5:55pm and just made it for their HH! Lucky. So I got the HH Taco & Beer. One of each tacos and a Modelo! Good deal. The tortillas seemed steamed?!?! I can't really describe it. It was not good or bad, just different. I like the fact that they were NOT greasy and did NOT stick together, but the texture and flavor was just so different that it was slightly off for me. My buddy got this veggie dream burrito and loved it. Oh, and of course a Modelo, he would not/could not let me drink alone, lol. Food is GOOD. Ambiance - Small local business. Indoor and outdoor seating. Semi open kitchen, well from where I was sitting, I could see the kitchen, lol. Plenty of mall parking, but of course we just walked from next door. A clean men's restroom. Service - This is where it was rough. The girl working did not seem happy... She just did her job, barely. She was not bad, just not good. Had to ask for stuff which she got for us. I look forward to coming back and improving my visit; and improving my review. Price - $30 + tip with a credit card surcharge. Cash discount would have been $28 + tip. Thank you for having the cash discount information before we paid. We still paid by CC. Overall, reasonably priced for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2020; look forward to revisiting and updating my review.

This is the third time and will obviously be the last time I waste my time. The first time was just a bit off with the timing and friendliness and the place was busy and pretty new. The last two times there is NO EXCUSE. A few months ago, pulled up to the drive thru and no one ever helped me at least 5 minutes of sitting there. There was one customer eating inside and no cars in the lot. A week ago, I decided maybe drive thru wasn't the best way so I went inside to order. I was inside the place waiting at the front counter for more than 6 minutes until I walked out of a completely customerless business, and I know why. There was at least one person working that I could see that never made any attempt to acknowledge me. Sorry NTG, I am not going to beg to get helped and I am sure if your employees think customers are too annoying to help, I am sure the food would have sucked too. I know this is't the nicest area to have a business but DO BETTER or relocate.

We beeped the horn as gently as we could and he didn't acknowledge us. That was the best start to our experience. This place serves breakfast burritos all day and that's why we came. The burrito was decent.
