When I asked about it, I was told that filling the cup would mean giving me "more product." The policy felt arbitrary and unnecessarily stingy--especially when we're talking about perhaps two extra sips of coffee. Breakfast is serious business, and Peg's Glorified Ham n Eggs definitely knows what it's doing…read more I ordered the ham and eggs, and the ham completely stole the show. Thick, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the kind of quality you don't expect to find just anywhere. It wasn't just another side on the plate it was the reason I'd come back. The restaurant itself was a little cramped, and when it's busy, it gets pretty loud. If you're looking for a quiet breakfast, this may not be the spot. But if you're after a hearty meal with genuinely great food, it's easy to overlook the noise. For me, that ham alone was worth the visit. I'll gladly squeeze into a table again for another plate.

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! You have earned a few new fans today.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

My sister was really looking forward to a visit @ Pine State Biscuits. With a 4+ star rating and…read moreover 1500 reviews, this place can't miss. Right??? Our family of 8 arrived here to a line that only continued to build. The line exited the building and began to wrap alongside the building. Seating here is first come first serve and are only designated by staff. Saving tables and sitting down prior to placing an order is a big no-no. BUT!! That didn't stop others from doing this anyhow. Let me start off by saying how chaotic this place is. This began from the initial line up to order and continued throughout the meal. Staff seemed flustered, overwhelmed, and moody. I'm not sure if the vibe of our visit would be considered "normal" to the staff and regulars but from my perspective looking in, it just seemed uncomfortably unorganized. As a forewarning to those who have never visited this establishment before, do your research and try to decide on what you would like to order prior to reaching the register area. Being prepared assists in quicker lines and you avoid looks of annoyance overall. Our family ordered a bunch of stuff: *THE REGGIE- hold the cheese & gravy *BLUEBERRY CORNMEAL PANCAKE - single *CORNMEAL PANCAKE- single *BUILD YOUR OWN BISCUIT - bacon, sausage, egg *Side order of EGG *Side order of BACON x2 *CHICKEN FRIED STEAK PLATE w/ BISCUIT *HASH BROWN, 2EGGS, + BACON *THE MONEYBALL *BEIGNETS Food came out at all different times. It was just unfortunate how one child in particular's meal came out at the very end when everyone was pretty much done with eating. The female staffer who brought over the dishes dropped plates on the table before scurrying off. At first I thought it was just a random occurrence but when it consistently happened, there was no way to justify that kind of service. Food was doable. The whole hype over Pine State Biscuits was simply that- JUST HYPE. The dining experience overall and vibe of the eatery was just not my scene. Kudos to those who genuinely enjoy the establishment but I'm gonna have to pass. I wouldn't openly waste my time or calories here.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and, after taking a bite, realized I had forgotten to specify gluten-free bread. That part was absolutely my mistake, and I immediately acknowledged that when I spoke with our server. What surprised me was when the manager came over and explained that they couldn't waste the sandwich and offered to discount it if I purchased another one made with gluten-free bread. I understand food costs and that the original ordering mistake was mine, but the interaction felt unnecessarily uncomfortable over what was essentially a bread substitution on a grilled cheese. I ultimately told them not to remake it and just ate the inside of the sandwich. I wasn't expecting special treatment, but I would have appreciated a little more graciousness and customer service in how the situation was handled, especially as a first-time customer. The restaurant is clearly very popular, and I wanted to love my experience. Unfortunately, this interaction left me disappointed.
