Poke King never disappoints! The house sauce is chef's kiss and the spicy salmon is always delicious. My go-to bowl is the octopus, shrimp, and spicy salmon with mixed greend -- such a perfect combo every time. The only small "ick" is the inconsistency with scoops. Some employees are super generous, while others are a bit stingy, which can make the base (mixed greens) feel overpowering. A regular bowl runs around $18, which is definitely pricey for what's basically a "salad," but pretty average for poke. I come here regularly and it always hits the spot. I've been by this place hundreds of times, and finally decided to try it. But did it through grub dash or whatever of those food delivery services. I was really excited to actually try it. I'm hoping and in person experience will be better, but I'll tell you right now I'm not going to find out. I'm not a cheapskate, I'll drop $1,000 at a Michelin star restaurant or upscale steakhouse, no problem. I've even dropped over $300 at a Texas Roadhouse (just on MYSELF) a few times, so don't sit here with that mindset. But for these tiny little boxes, with a couple tablespoons of meat in each one for $21.95!? Yeahhh, no. HELL NO. $14 95, MAYBE $15.95, but for the amount of food and the quality you get, it's totally not warranted. For 22 bucks, I expect to at least my stomach to be satisfied, I had to go hit the fridge after I ate this crap because I was still hungry. In the notes, as you can see with my pictures, I pleaded for extra soy sauce. So what do they do for two orders? Two packs of soy sauce and two packs of sriracha. That's an indicator from the business, that they know they're not serving the amount of food they should for the price. I ordered one of their poke bowls with tuna, salmon and octopus. Well they were sure nice enough to leave me a little Post-It note telling me they were out of octopus, and instead of calling me to ask me what my alternative would be, they choose to give me an extra scoop of the most cost-effective imitation crab mayonnaise crap that they could. Obviously to try to Penny pinch on an already ridiculously small portion size. I'm guessing a majority of Yelpers on here aren't foodies, but as mind-blowing to see how everybody raves about this place. I can't even give it three stars!. Sorry poke King, you guys are not royalty at all. I love poke. So many choices! From the start, walking in I was a little put off by the smell in the establishment though. I get it, there's fish. But good fresh fish doesn't smell. I think maybe a good cleaning is in order. Scent, or smell, is a big thing to me. We went ahead and had a large with 5 scoops of protein and a regular with 3 scoops. So many other ingredients the regular was plenty large enough. Be prepared to spend over $20 for just a regular and this was without a drink. Tried the won ton chips and I wouldn't recommend them at all. Tough. I've been to other Poke Kings and this one I'd say It's not the number 1, but be sure to hit the other locations! read more

Passing by this place many times after grabbing coffee at Starbucks. I love Poke and it was time to try Poke King. A small space , formerly an ice cream shop. Inside 3 tables, but I was here for take-out. I ordered a regular bowl with spicy tuna, shrimp and tofu. Brown rice my choice and two spicy sauces spicy mayo and Wasabi Yuzu. I had it topped with jalapeno, ginger, fried shallots and garlic , shredded sea weed and furikake. Yum, it was looking mighty delicious and I was hungry. I took off to my destination and stopped along side the Sparks Marina. I began devouring it. It was perfect, tasty and healthy. You can never go wrong with poke, especially when you order it from Poke King! This is my go-to location and I've never had a bad experience. It's easy to access, there's plenty of seating for a quick sit down meal, and the staff are always pleasant. I usually order to-go, and it's always been ready on time and made correctly. The regular bowl is always a perfect amount and I feel they are generous on their portion size and the price is more than fair. There are so many options to choose from when creating your own bowl. I always get the tuna for my bowl and it's never disappointed - always fresh and delicious. Their crab is a perfect addition to any bowl. Poke King is a "clutch" spot for me. I have been coming here quite a few times and every time it is just as fantastic as the previous visit. Unfortunately my orders have always be "to-go-order" but I appreciate the consistency in the freshness of their food, the kindness in their customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Hooray for the new Poke King locations! There are now four! As a south Renonian, I'd only been to the original Poke King once. I really enjoyed my bowl there, so when I knew I'd be nearby this one I made a point to stop in. I'd remembered my regular bowl with three proteins feeling like just enough food to fill a healthy appetite, so this time around I went for the large with 5 scoops. The large is sizeable, good for one big appetite or two smaller appetites, if you're into sharing. They've got a nice array of sauces. I went with the house sauce. It's a mix of three different sauces including spicy mayo, so it's pretty heavy/thick. That didn't register with me until it was added to the proteins, massago, green I Jon and white onion, and I definitely prefer a lighter dressing on my poke. Next time is go for one of the shoyu sauces. Just like the other locations there's bright blues and aquatic accents throughout, but it lacks the flair of the OG spot. The four stars are for the strong seafood smell walking in the door. I didn't notice after sitting there for a few minutes but it was potent upon entry. Still a solid bowl! read more

As a Vegas local with many poke bowls all around the city, coming to Reno for the very first time and trying this poke place has exceeded my expectations. The amount of food you receive for the price you pay is really worth it. They have a wide variety of proteins and toppings to choose from and everything tastes so good!! Need to add an update because the last 5-6 times I've gone here, they are consistently not paying attention to the options selected for to go orders. They have not gotten my order right in so long from the choices of base, sauce, and toppings. I continue to go to this location because it's 5 mins away from my house. The other locations are much farther away. I really wish they would pay close attention to what's actually on the order and what they're putting into the bowl. Also, if you order any extras, sides, or desserts, it's also a hit or miss if it will actually be included in your order. I still love the food and the quality, but I would suggest going in and taking the time to order there and see them actually make your bowl. read more

We love NW Reno Poke King, so we were happy to see one open nearby! Honestly, I think poke places are getting as contagious as AYCE sushi/check cashing/tattoo parlors/smoke shops in Reno/Sparks...but hey, what's another? 4 locations seems a little bit like the Mark Estee's of fish places, but again, what's another location? The trouble with another poke place is that this one just isn't as good as the first few! Too many too fast seems like they've spread themselves a little too thin. It's been a few times now that we've had really "fishy" fish in our bowls, and twice that I've had flat-out rotten greens in mine. What's worse is that Hubby and I both got the bubble guts after our last visit! My instinct said the fish was "fishy"...and we were right. Also, 1of the 2 employees working on our last visit 8/18 asked the other if she could make herself a bowl...then proceeded to heap fish and pour the most spicy mayo I've ever seen on it! Im sure like most restaurants, they have an "employee meal policy", was just a little gross to watch her make soup out of sauce. Maybe wait until the customers have left the dini9ng room? Sadly, we're kind of ruined on this location after a few bad bowls. I hope the rest of the locations are faring better. read more

Ok so I finally went into the location and picked up some lunch because I was out and about. I got the same thing I always get. Large poke, Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon.... The food has been delicious every time I've ordered from Poke King. I dropped my review down from 5 stars to 3 because of the quality of customer service I received from the two girls behind the counter. I felt as if I couldn't be more of a bother have have walked in that door. The tone when speaking to a customer made me wonder why they both come back to a job they clearly do not like. After I payed, I reached into my wallet to still tip, thinking maybe it might bring a smile or better attitude out of them. Nope! She actually scoffed and walked away from the register. The food is great but I'll come back when the customer service improves. read more

Poke here is fantastic, definitely my go to in Northern Nevada. Staff is nice and the place is always clean. With inflation 2 regular poke bowls and 2 bottle drinks came out to $40. Crazy but what can you do? Also there was no option to plug in your number for there loyalty program.
