Came in for dinner on a Friday and found it surprisingly not busy. The inside is bigger than I expected. It's spacious enough for big groups. Service felt rushed even though there were only 2 other tables besides mine. The fishes were very fresh which I did enjoy. There is a lot of rice. The rolls are mediocre.

My daughter and I went for the first time today. Wanted to try a different sushi spot. We ordered 3 orders of nigiri, 2 crystal shrimp rolls, the kissho roll and the spicy girl. Neither of us liked the nigiri (it was fishy) or the spicy girl (the inside tasted weird) The kissho was the best one and the crystal shrimp rolls came in second. Not worth the price. The service was good though and the restaurant was cute.

Drive past here many times but haven't heard anything about it good or bad. They have Ala carte and AYCE options; which we tried AYCE. Late dinner so it was pretty quiet only about 3 tables. Service and food was quick; unsure if always like this or because we arrived when tables were finishing up. They had several rolls we never heard of however one of the party couldn't eat spicy so we weren't able to try all. However the rolls we did try each had its own distinct taste; whereas some other AYCE taste all the same.

The very best of Kissho sushi is their appetizers. I wish I could say the same for their long rolls, but sadly there's only maybe three that I like. The service is always exceptional and I do love the intimate atmosphere and beautiful decor. It's not great, but also not bad either. I'll still go every once in awhile when I crave their appetizers, but that's about it. It's unfortunate, but not worth the price anymore just for appetizers.

The sushi was mediocre and the variety was not so great. The best was the sake nigiri!! It was super light and fresh. The service was absolutely great, they attended to our every request expeditiously. I was super shocked at the hibachi plate for the low price of $28.00 with shrimp and lobster. The decor was nice but simple and clean. Cant say I would return for AYCE, not enough variety but nice establishment.

my family and i went in on a sunday night as a party of 6. the place was kinda empty and only had two other tables going so we sat down immediately. we ordered the all you can eat sushi and each ordered 2 or 3 rolls. the sushi came out quite fast and we were in wow. everything we ordered was all very good. there wasn't a single roll i didn't like. throughout dinner, they kept checking on us to see if we wanted more sushi. service was good overall and i'd definitely come back if i'm in the area again!

Had a wonderful lunch here. My girlfriend and I arrived during a slow period so it was just us for a minute. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and beautiful. The staff were prompt, attentive, and very kind! The sushi was a smash! Everything, including the appetizers, was delicious. The quality of their ingredients was superb. The pricing is on par with other places. 10/10 will come back again!

First off, we were homesick for some good hibachi meals. We lived in SE Texas up until a year ago and our restaurant scene here was minimal to what we were used too. So I found Kissho Sushi here on Yelp. Waitress. She was great. Very attentive, was on top of everything and very pleasent. Atmosphere.. It's a small little quaint restaurant. Very homey feeling with the drape covered windows. If I had 1 input, when you have someone loud sitting right behind you, the sound carries big time. But that's not the restaurants fault that someone was just rude. Called respect people. The food.. We started with the tuna titaki and a 2 piece eel sushi. The tuna in the titaki was cut so great. Nice large pieces, very tender, sauce had great flavor with I believe were carrot straws or curls. Yes I ate on those too lol The eel sushi. OMG I went to heaven on this one. Perfect sized pieces of eel. Rice was perfect.. The yummy tenderness of eel is like no other sushi. We each got a hibachi meal for our main. It comes with soup, salad, veggies, fried or white rice and your choice of portion or veggie option. We had 1 clear soup, 1 miso soup The acutrrimants for the sushi and plates. I had the chicken and shrimp and hubby had double shrimp. The flavors of the sauce were very delicious. Fried rice was perfect, as well the veggies and the cook on them. It was a really great meal. Will be going back for the 10 piece eel platter for 23.95 i believe is the price. Water with lemon and hot sake for our beverages Can't wait to go back

I came here with my boyfriend on a very snowy day, so there were no customers when we entered. We were quickly greeted and seated by a staff. We were given menus and ordered drinks. They have the paper to mark what you want which I love because it makes everything run more smoothly. For appetizers, we ordered shumai, miso soup, mussels, and a peanut mango avocado salad. The shumai was average (kind of bland), the miso soup was flavorful, the mussels tasted like it was heated up in the microwave, and the peanut mango avocado salad was good (flavors are mixed with sweet and sour). As for the sushi, we ordered almost every type of the nigiri and tried the kissho roll. The tuna nigiris were really good, however, my favorite yellowtail did not taste as good as other places. The salmon was average. There are a lot of other items on the menu if you do not eat sushi or raw food like noodles and rice dishes. All the food came out quickly even though there were two other tables by the time we left. The interior design looked a lot nicer than I expected from the outside. Everything was clean and new. Overall, I would not come here again if I had the choice because there are so many other all you can eat options in the area.

Sushi was delicious! Salmon nigiri was perfect sized and melted in your mouth. I loved the kani salad. Miso soup was a huge portion!

Decent food in the Legends mall. I got the hibachi steak meal and I enjoyed it. The steak was soft and didn't hurt my jaw when I was biting into it. The veggies were a little soggy but that could be the use of the sauce. My friends got an array of sushi and they said they enjoyed it. There weren't any complaints about the taste of the sushi so that's good! Service was fine, my friend accidentally knocked over her water and they were great about providing us additional napkins and a rag to clean up the spill. The restaurant was popping considering the weather was raining and preparing for a snow storm. It was surprisingly busy which may have taken away from the overall service but still a good spot to check out if you're in the Legends mall.

The service has overall been the worst part of the experience. Hardly anyone checks on you, drinks empty with hardly any refills, our chef at one point just disappeared at random and never came back leaving the work to his coworker. The unfortunate part is although I appreciate that the establishment is diverse, if you sit at the bar, you have the unfortunate experience of having most of your orders be wrong due to the lack of understanding English. At one point we got a mystery hand roll that wasn't even close to a Twister hand roll. The staff also chats among themselves and serves themselves often instead of ensuring customers are satisfied during their dining experience.

Unfortunately, our experience today was not a good one. The service started off friendly, but things quickly changed when we mentioned that we didn't like one of the rolls (wasn't even edible). We were doing the all-you-can-eat option (and paying dinner pricing during lunchtime for the rolls we selected), so we were surprised by how the situation was handled. Instead of working with us, we were told they couldn't take the roll back because they would "lose money," and that we would be charged extra for it if they were to replace the roll. That response felt frustrating and unnecessary, especially given the circumstances. I get times are hard with money/ prices but where is the customer service in a response like that??? Not to mention the food didn't seem fresh all around; muscles were tough and rubbery. Praying I don't get sick. We ended up paying over $70 for very little food since we left without finishing, which made it even more disappointing. We understand businesses have policies, but the way this was handled didn't feel customer-focused at all. Customer service is HUGE!! Sadly, this experience has made us reconsider coming back. Their TIP I left was a note that said "Customer service is EVERYTHING" because really... it is!!! Do better

It's been about 4 years since the last time, I tried the food here and since I was hosting about 10 people at my home, I wanted to serve something simple and cost effective. My goto for this is Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried mixed vegetables. It came in two trays and enough from probably closer to 15 people. So portions were good but the total bill was between $120-$130 about what I've come to expect here in Reno. Let's just say, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and lived most of my life in Northern CA eating quite a bit of Chinese food. This doesn't make my an expert but it would be fair to say, I am quite familiar with what is considered mainstream traditional Chinese cooking. But let's get to the food, with the caveat that I realize that everyone's preferences can vary widely when it comes to food. So my opinion is based on what one would find in Hong Kong and San Francisco. The chicken chow mein had all the correct ingredients, long noodles that were slightly thicker than say spaghetti, had the correct amount of softness without being mushy. Chicken was presented in slices and appeared to be white meat, there was some white onions thrown in there for some texture and flavor. Normally when I order chow mein, it isn't served with a brown "gravy". Not that this dish was swimming in it, but think of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Replace the red with medium dark brown and you get the picture. Now my guests who are Reno locals, thought it was great and flavorful. I would agree with the flavor part but it was much too saucy for my tastes. Would I try Chin Chin again for noodles? I'm not sure but the owner did state, they can make dishes any way I like, so perhaps I'll order off menu next time. The stir fried mixed vegetables is where I was most disappointed. Let's start with the ingredients. All were sliced in 2-3 inch pieces, which included button mushrooms, zuchinni, bamboo shoots, brocolli, carrots, and onions. This dish could have passed for a savory vegetable stew. There was a lot of gravy, so much so, that it colored all the vegetables brown, except for the carrots. The sauce had a slight "twang" to it, almost vinegar or worchester-like. Not my thing, I could not taste the individual flavors of the vegetables because of how heavy the sauce was. The brocolli was over cooked where the flowerette parts were pale. I prefer my vegetables to be just cooked, almost snappy. I would not order this dish again. No comments on the restaurant itself as both times I tried it, was for take out. So bottomline, would I try Chin Chin again? Yes but I will be very specific on how I would like my order prepared. Maybe for their lunch special.
