I just wanted to leave a tip for you to check your tickets before you add additional gratuity. We had an automatic 18% gratuity added for a party of 3. That didn't leave a good taste in my mouth; Especially when I was coming back around to dining here regularly again. I almost added another 21% tip on top of the 18% added to my bill. I thought my total was a little high and went back to my original receipt. It's dishonest and let them have the 18%. I always tip on service. Who knows how many other times this has happened. Super bummed, I'll skip this place next time I crave sushi.

I would recommend definitely a great spot for sushi. Me and my family have this place as our go to spot for sushi. The staff is always friendly and and just a chill experience eating here. I always get salmon nigiri and their salmon just melts in your mouth. The seafood quality in general is great.

First time going. My husband and I went right when it opened for lunch. We immediately got seated. We had the seaweed salad and muscles for an appetizer. The muscles were prepared differently than I'm used to but were amazing. The seaweed salad was perfectly balanced with the sesame oil and salt. For nigiri, we had surf clams, octopus, Donald duck, Mickey mouse, upside down shrimp, quail egg shooters, hibachi, gravlax, smoked salmon and mackerel. All the pieces were properly portioned between rice and fish. All of it tasted amazing and also was incredibly fresh. For rolls, I had the snow mountain and crunch roll. My husband had the challenge and the spider roll. Once again, everything was exactly as described. The rolls weren't rice heavy and definitely were balanced. Since we didn't have much room, we split a piece of the green tea cheesecake, which really blew our minds. I can't say enough about this place. It was clean. The artwork was really pretty. It is a smaller establishment so I imagine it could get a little hard to find seating during peak hours but that's really a small price to pay for the experience!

Still never disappoints every time we come here! Love that the nigiri is still smaller than a lot of the sushi places in town. Always get the mussels, miso soup, cucumber salad, and calamari for appetizers, a variety of nigiri, and one hand roll each or share a long roll! This time we got a Sparks roll but added japlapeno on top! Yum!

I love this place!!! Not what you'd expect for a small 10 table all you can eat sushi restaurant. Except for the bathrooms, the establishment is reasonably clean. The service is superb; the staff works as a team; they ask you lots of clarifying questions. The food quality is high and the order to table time is low (down right fast actually). Expect to pay $35/pp after tax but before tip ($42/pp after tip). Pro tips: - everything is a la carte (no buffet) so you will be charged for uneaten food including rice - only one dessert order per person - very close to exit 20 off highway 80 if you are passing through My favorite items: 1. Snow mountain hand roll 2. Uzuru (quail egg & tobiko) nigiri 3. Calamari rings 4. Mickey Mouse nigiri 5. Green tea cheesecake

I love this place! It's been a while since I've been here and what was I thinking. Forgot how good it was. Typical sushi ambiance and service was quick and very attentive. Weekend special roll was awesome.

Service is pretty fast. Food was good. I wish they served the miso soup in a cup. It would've been good to have maybe some veggies with the chicken teriyaki. It was pretty good though. The unagi and caterpillar roll were pretty good as well. My friend enjoyed her rolls and nigiri. She didn't love the miso soup.

Cucumber roll and custom avocado roll, and tako, ebi, unagi & toro to go, both in their own containers!

Another stellar take-out experience here! I like to treat my kids to a special sushi after-school snack once in awhile, and Hiroba is close to my home, and easy to access the freeway when I'm ready to go. I missed the major lunch rush, so that worked in my favor, but they had the order done so fast, and made my head spin! It was very reasonably priced, beautifully plated, and and made exactly how I asked, no bubbles, no troubles! It was so fresh, and delicious, my kids loved it! Hiroba made me look like a hero mom, so I wouldn't hesitate to go back next time I'm craving full all you can eat sushi.

TLDR: Good Cucumber Salad. Lots of options for Dessert! Small portions. I want to say that their dessert options are pretty extensive for an AYCE place! They have various mochi, fried banana, even a cheesecake. Compare this with many other places that don't even have dessert or just 1 choice. I was really really impressed with that! Yeah, I have a low bar... I also really like the cucumber salad, which is a bit strange, because it's just an appetizer. But it isn't just pickled vinegary, but also sweet. It's like eating a vegetable candy, which sounds disgusting, but it actually helps get your fiber going. It was refreshing, and I really couldn't stop eating it. Even though I don't really care for cucumbers at all! With the highlights out of the way, the rest of the sushi was.... average. There were some highs, there were some plains, there weren't any lows though. I really like the fact that the portions are small. I know it sounds strange, but for AYCE, it's great! It allows you to try many different things, without getting stuck with a "loser" sushi. And they don't intentionally try to "fill you up" with rice. Even the nigiri rice was small. As a result, we ordered (and FINISHED) wayyy more sushi rolls than normal. The standouts were the nigiri and the crunch roll. The salmon was fresh, but not the freshest I've had. It wasn't tough or chewy, but still not as smooth and buttery as some of the best I've had. I also had a strange "sushi" that was remarkably tasty... the Monster roll. It has a hotdog in it! So it's a kinda good introduction to sushi for people who don't like to eat raw fish. My wife thinks it would taste so much better if the hotdog was grilled instead of boiled. But the overall taste wasn't bad. And that is the review in a nutshell. Taste wasn't bad. But it's not AMAZING sushi either, that I would want to rave and tell my family. Oh btw, don't circle the items in your checklist. Apparently that means "a la carte". Also the service/ordering system was hit n miss. Some items we ordered, we never got. We had to order them again or remind the servers about it. It might be because the ordering system is on 3 sheets of paper, double-sided. Not a very efficient system, IMO.

A friend and I had discussed venturing somewhere for drinks and Tipsys was what popped in my head. Low and behold it was ladies night even better. I had saw a cotton candy drink and showed it to my friend and that was all the convincing that was needed! It was the perfect chill and relaxing vibe after a long and busy week. I love the glow of the place and the music was good. There was even security on site which is always good. We were fortunate enough to have Valerie the owner behind the counter, during my very first time to Tipsy's she was behind the counter. Most of the drinks for ladies night were $10, there were some really fun ones that were outside of that that are on my list for next time including a ducky in a bathtub, and even having a cocktail in a purse. I enjoyed chatting and commending Valerie for her and her families' creative business ventures. I loved learning about a new business soon to open- the Social Club which will be on Victorian. I love how more nightlife is coming to downtown Sparks to revitalize the area down there. I had been in the area and saw the signage and got super excited. I even learned that Señor Tequila's was a family member's business wow- so cool! I thought the drink- which was a special - Daydreaming which consisted of mango, passionfruit and prosecco. It was a beautifully served drink and tasted amazing. My friend even asked Valerie for some extra cotton candy and she was sweet enough to serve us extra in cups. Totally would have stayed to try more cocktails but my friend wanted to venture. Can't wait to come back to venture the ducky drink and some other cutesy ones.

Third, I just like playing nickel video poker in a relaxed environment and when it's at the bar, even better. Drinks come faster that way. Speaking of drinks, they have the well stuff for the rookies who just order a rum and coke or gin and tonic. But for those in the know, all you have to do is ask for the good stuff and they will pour it for you, and they do have the good stuff. Full disclosure, they are a whiskey bar first and foremost, so they have more of that than anything else, but just to name a few others, they do have DonQ rum and Don Julio tequila so unless you are a high maintenance drinker, you can find what you are looking for. It is also worth noting that they bill themselves as a craft cocktail bar, which means they can and will make you a very nice mixed drink, speaking of the high maintenance among us. There are pool tables and leagues are a regular thing here as well as a nice little William Hill sportsbook in the corner. It closes early though, so keep that in mind. There are no less than a dozen beers on tap at any given time as well as several bottle and can options. Plenty of TV's above the bar and Direct TV, so they get almost anything you are looking for. The bar slots seem to be pretty loose most of the time and although I rarely play video Keno, I have seen many people cash out hundreds of dollars on a fairly regular basis playing it. Now for the bad...It is a truck stop bar and that in itself is not a bad thing, but sometimes, well...Truckers can be a lot to take in. Also, you will come home smelling like smoke. Otherwise, stop by if you are in the 'hood and take a look for yourself. Good place to pregame. If nothing else, check out the gun collection throughout the casino and bar, it is worth the trip alone.

The appetizer and drinks came out promptly. However, the iced tea seemed like it came straight from a soda fountain rather than being freshly brewed--in a higher-end restaurant like this, I definitely expect fresh-brewed tea. As for the deviled eggs, they tasted good, but the "lobster" on top was so miniscule that it could have just as easily been tiny pieces of shrimp. It was nearly impossible to tell if it was actually lobster meat. For our entrees, I ordered the Korean Short Rib Tacos, and my dining partner ordered the fish tacos: - Korean Short Rib Tacos: Decent overall. The sauce had a nice, flavorful kick to it. - Fish Tacos: A BIG miss. The fish was clearly not cooked fresh for our meal--it tasted and felt as though leftover fish from yesterday had simply been reheated in a microwave. The consistency and flavor were completely off, to the point where my partner took only one bite and couldn't eat any more. This was a major disappointment. We really wanted to like this place because the setting and space are truly spectacular, but given the quality of the food and drinks, I'm not sure if we'll return.
