Overall, great experience the staff was super nice. The food tasted great. I really liked the firecracker roll. In the infamous words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back." And in the other famous words of Chief Brody in jaws, "you're gonna need a bigger boat..." for all the sushi we're gonna eat next time. 10 stars

It was our first time here and. It was ok. The customer service was great but the sushi were ok. I was expected something amazing but it was alright. I might try it again, and see if it will be different.

Itzavy Sushi is such a great spot when you're craving fresh, flavorful sushi. The rolls are beautifully made, the fish tastes clean and high-quality, and the menu has a fun mix of classics and creative options. I especially love how everything comes out looking just as good as it tastes. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual night out or a quick bite. The staff is friendly and attentive, though at times the service can be a little slow during busy hours, that's really the only reason I didn't give it five stars. Overall, Itzavy Sushi delivers delicious food, good vibes, and a consistently enjoyable experience. I'll definitely be back!

My new favorite sushi place. Christian was our server. He was very friendly and hospitable. It's a cute place right next to Belleville wine bar. The decor is modern and cosmopolitan. All the food was delicious but especially the paradise, sexy and mango crunch rolls. So good

Don't walk...Run to this sushi spot ! I stumbled by this sushi restaurant as I was driving around choosing a lunch spot, I noticed the location had a new name from biggest little sushi, so I figured... let's give it a try! As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the sushi chefs and chose a chair at the bar. Thankfully it wasnt very busy inside but they were poppin in takeout orders. I always start with nigiri to see how fresh the fish is and also to see how much rice they are going to pack in it...the hamachi was incredibly fresh, buttery with just the right amount of rice. I tried a few hand rolls and long rolls, they were again super fresh and wonderful flavors. My favorite was called the Netflix and chill (one of their new rolls) it has chili oil on it and it was such a good kick of spice with crispies and hamachi! The server was very attentive and checked in consistently as I was there, my sushi chef was also very attentive and quick! The all you can eat price was $27.95 so pretty standard price as other spots. Overall, an awesome sushi spot in town!

Can I tell you what roles I ordered? No but I can't tell you that this is only half of what I ordered and all of them were sooooo good. My partner and I sat at the bar and the chef were great in making recommendations and making fire sushi. I've returned three times since the first time I've been, it's so good and they are so easy and quick to also order for takeout! I freaking love it here and will come back!

My first taste of high quality sushi was at Iron Chef Morimoto's flagship restaurant in Philadelphia in the late 90s and I dove full steam ahead into the Reno world of sushi after my return from that trip. Since then, I've become a bit of a sushi "snob". I've been to almost every sushi joint around the area and always make it a point to try the newest while still supporting my go-to, as well as the other places that I enjoy visiting when my favorite local sushi chef is unavailable at my go-to. I really like this place! Located just outside of downtown in the location of the former Biggest Little Sushi Bar, the owners have made it their own since taking over. Not much has changed in décor, but plenty has changed in the food. The sushi chefs, Chris and Miguel, are very talented and efficient...as well as extremely courteous...they also are very open to suggestions, as I have a diverse palate for sushi that a lot of places don't appease. I know...I know...everyone has a diverse palate for sushi and we all enjoy it in our own way...different appetizers, rolls, nigiri, etc...that's the beauty of it. Their menu is very diverse...lots of offerings that you won't see anywhere else...that's what led me to give them 5 stars, even though they're not my go-to...but, they now rank right near the top! Some of their standouts for me? Jalapeno Poppers It's a different approach than the usual "stuffed jalapeno"...very tasty. Baked Mussels As good as it gets in the area. Roger long roll The flavor combination POPS! Lemon Drop long roll The lemon flavor jumps out at you, yet complements the rest of the flavors perfectly. Spider long roll My benchmark roll...if a place can do a good Spider Roll, then usually everything else is great. This one is exemplary! As I said, they're open to suggestions... A few items that they customized for me: Hamachi Kama First time I went in, I had it fried, which was their only option on the menu...dry, bland, not to my liking. The 2nd time though? I asked them if they would bake it...they did...without hesitation...and man, what a change! Drop dead delicious, moist, flaky...the dipping sauce is really good. Quail Egg Shooters Had them make them extra spicy and they did it with a deft hand and lots of flavor. Scallop Nigiri I asked them to give them a quick flash fry...which I love because it caramelizes the exterior while still leaving the interior moist and succulent. I hate the standard "seared" preparations everywhere else...the smell of the butane torch when they're prepared that way kills the delicate taste of scallops. Lots of other compliments I could heap on them, but I've already made this review long winded enough...LOL... As always, I suggest that you drop by to see what YOU think...

Raw Roll

I was really in the mood to try a new sushi place and Itzavy seemed promising. We did not get all you can eat, just a few items, but really not impressed. The presentation of the rolls was very nice, which is probably one of the main reasons that made me choose to come here in the first place, but nothing tasted fresh and everything was just slightly room temperature instead of cold which is a no go for me. I went here specifically craving a quail egg shooter and it was not great. The ambiance is ok, very clean but kinda dull inside. We were there late right before closing but service was great and very attentive. Needless to say I will be continuing my search for a go to Sushi place in Reno.

Dry :(

TLDR: little to no flavor in each roll, bad sushi rice. Impressively bland. Everyone was relatively friendly but could have been more helpful with menu items and such. Our sushi came out before the appetizers, and the Yakiton and Tempura shrimp were SOGGY. The chicken katzu and edamame were good. The sushi was just bad. We tried Diablo, Tsunami, Tundra, Mango Crunch, Lulu, and Sexy. The only one that tasted different than the others was the Sexy, due to the lemon. The sushi rice was missing the sugar and vinegar taste, and each roll was dry with little to no sauce. While not inedible, it just wasn't good. The only saving grace at this restaurant is that they offer mochi! Unfortunately we will not be back.

Delicious fresh sushi in an intimate modern setting. Good service, especially at the bar. Menus have pictures and a wide variety, with something for anyone! This has been my go-to spot for the last 3 years and is a great place to bring guests or family to show them what Reno's AYCTE scene produces.

As far as Reno sushi goes, Itzavy is right on par with 98% of the other spots, ok quality all you can eat sushi. Just don't come looking in Reno for great sushi, we have our own little all you can eat niche and most places here stand on that. We came in about 30 minutes before close for a quick bite and did not opt for all you can eat. Service was quite good, everything came fast, but the sushi was just not awesome. First off everything came slightly warm, nothing I can't stand more than sushi that isn't cold enough like it should be. We didn't order a lot as we just wanted a snack before heading home for the night, but the real letdown was the imitation crab mix that was on everything we ordered, it was just a bit funky, warm, and overly wet. The quail egg shooters, absolutely need some work, it tasted like a quail egg, some Tobiko, and a shot glass full of nothing but soy sauce. Big miss on these, there is other things that are supposed to go into it to bring the depth. Our favorite thing we had that night was the carpaccio just because the sauce it came sitting in made it more properly cold.

I was especially excited to see more scallop filling on the menu! Finally something different from the usual mayo filled imitation crab! My favorite had to be the upside down shrimp with scallops (of course)! Also, the affocado! To freaking die for. If youre a coffee lover and want a sweet treat?! This is it! The time it was just my husband and I was so slow. We also sat down as the second table. They had a full staff and it took the longest. The food is good. I rate the roles at a 3, but note. I like simple sushi. So I tried the rolls just to try and see what they taste like. Its good if you like likes of flavor. It removes what people say is the fishy taste. I love the taste of fish. So I typically lean towards nigiri. I will amdit their sashimi salad as a 5/5. I loved it. I thought we could order 1 per round, but thats not the case. Look at the menu and its once per visit. The salmon hand roll is a 1 for me. It was not very crispy and hard to power through. So I dont recommend that, but they do a roll of it. So if you share with friends it might be worth while. The Niger I rate a 3.5/5. There was a lot of rice, but they also give a good size slice of fish. What got me was it didn't have that crisp taste when I ate it. Its hard to explain. The food quality is good. Don't get me wrong. Just the service and my simple taste buds. Its very popular and many locals love it. The lady was very sweet, when we got to speak with her. So don't let my rating and my taste buds hinder you from eating here. So give them a try.

As I sit at the bar with salmon eggs popping in my mouth, I think: life is good, but not perfect,…read moresame for Tokyo Sushi. Most times I come alone an hour before closing and get a seat at the bar almost immediately. This visit, I was astonished to find 36 people on the waitlist with only an hour left. At that late point they hand out order sheets while you're waiting, which for groups still not seated means placing a MEGA order as soon as you sit down, followed by a rushed scarfing-down session as the staff begins closing up shop. The menu is quite large with heavy overlap with the menus at most other AYCE places. Roll selection is good and popular, as I look to either side, I'm appreciative of most patrons filling up on rolls commonly made with fake Krab (same stuff in frozen fish sticks), deep-fried ingredients, and generous applications of mayo and eel or teriyaki sauce. These cost the restaurant far less than a steady stream of nigiri, effectively subsidizing the roughly $120 worth of assorted nigiri I'm about to consume for about a third of that price. To each their own. The rice was perfectly seasoned and properly cooked, the most important part of sushi, though on one previous visit it leaned a bit too sweet. The fish tasted good, and the fish-to-rice ratio is better than at most competing spots. Service attentiveness can vary but on average is typically solid with a call button you can press. The combination of a packed dining room and upbeat music makes the place LOUD and festive, with sports on two large-screen TVs that appeal to the younger Midtown crowd. The downside is that carrying on a conversation in a larger group can be challenging. The bar refrigerator sits high enough that you can't really watch the chefs work, and when combined with the noise and possibly a language barrier, forget about chatting with the sushi chef. Food-wise, it's easy to place Tokyo Sushi in Reno's top three AYCE options, though you'll pay a few dollars more than average at roughly $45 per person with tax and tip as of June 2026. Its extreme popularity, however, fills the parking lot and creates wait times capable of testing almost anyone's patience. Waiting over an hour during peak dinner service is not uncommon, and the crowded waiting area may leave you standing outside or sitting in your car. Hungry couples and groups may want to consider less busy alternatives, especially on a 90+ degree summer day or when winter "rolls" around.

Service I would give a 2 star. The chocolate icecream looks like it was be prescooped into the cups then put back in the freezer after it had melted a little. In the picture, you can see it was melted at some point and then refrozen. Makes the ice cream taste gross. I got passed by 7 different times before a waiter told me to put the ticket in the holder for someone to come get it. The server was going to put it in the holder and walk away without it until I mentioned I'd already been passed by several times, then he took it with a huff. In 2018 I gave this place a 5 star so I wanted to try it again with my mother and my son. A little disappointed. I'm willing to give it another chance but not anytime soon. I need the distaste of bad service to get out of my mouth before I return.

We were seated quickly. Now that can be attributed to the fact that we were early for dinner. We opted for a tabled, but there were plenty of seats available at the sushi bar. We only waited for a few minutes before the first wave of fish was delivered. Throughout dinner, we never had to wait long for the sushi to be delivered. The atmosphere was decent. It felt like it was more of a storefront than a traditional restaurant. But, it was a storefront and I don't care about that. I base my rating on freshness, service and cleanliness of the store. One thing that surprised me was the Kani (crab). I ordered it wondering if it would be real crab or imitation. It was real! I was happy and surprised. I ate my fill. Actually, I ate more than my fill. Enjoyed it completely. My sushi coma was justified. Freshness: 10 Service (dining time 3:30pm) : 10 Friendly: 9 (Anymore would be just awkward) Cleanliness: 10 Parking: 10 Bottom Line ------------------ Would I recommend O' A Sushi to friends and family? We've enjoyed the food here, but had a very frustrating experience with their punch card policy…read more My wife and daughter tried to redeem several O'A Sushi punch cards that together had enough stamps for 10 meals. The card says, "Buy 10 meals and get the 11th free." It does not say that all 10 stamps have to be on the same physical card, and it does not say "no combining cards." The frustrating part is that the restaurant also did not ask us to keep using one existing card. On prior visits, they simply handed out new punch cards, which is how we ended up with multiple partially stamped cards in the first place. Then, when my wife and daughter tried to use the stamps together, the restaurant refused and said the 10 stamps had to be on one card. They spent about 10 minutes discussing it with staff, but the reward still was not honored. I understand restaurants can set whatever loyalty program rules they want, but those rules should be printed clearly on the card and applied consistently. As written, the customer-facing promise is that if you buy 10 meals, you get the 11th free. Refusing to honor multiple stamped cards, especially after handing out new cards on prior visits, felt unfair and created an unnecessarily negative experience. The food may be good, but this left a bad impression. If the policy is "one card only," they should print that clearly and stop handing out new cards when customers already have active ones.

I ordered two rolls, the negi toro roll and the fire ocean roll. I literally have pictures of both because the rice to fish ratio is a complete joke for what they are charging you. It was basically a giant mountain of rice with a tiny sliver of fish hidden inside. The food could have been salvageable but the service was also bad. I was given two sushi rolls with no soy sauce plate, no chopsticks and no napkins. I had to sit there staring at my food while it sat warm on the table. I also ordered edamame and it's a miracle that you can dry something out by steaming it. It was completely shriveled and uneditable. To top it all off, none of the hosts or waitresses paid attention to me for an extended period of time so I talked to the sushi chefs that spoke no english to help me. 5 stars to them because they actually tried to help me out when the rest of the staff ignored me, but unfortunately it doesn't really help the restaurant.
