We were there for my mothers birthday hearing the food was good but the service was slow. We gave it a try anyway. Drinks were good, mussels and shrimp were bland, I mean zero flavor. We left half the mussels in the bowl. My son ordered the ribs, which came out with the biggest layer of fat on them, to the point he was putting the fatty parts on my little plate that the waiter never cleared from the appetizer course. Ice cream was delicious and cheesecake as well. When we questioned about the the ribs, the waiter first got annoyed stating that he talk to owner and he said we ate through half, when in fact son barely ate. (He just threw a sandwich together at home.) The waiter sent the owner over. This is when a tall man smelling of scotch approach us and didn't say a word, I actually thought he was waiting for the restroom. Then proceeded to sit on the couch next to us until my mother addressed him. The unprofessionalism that this man displayed was absolutely ridiculous. When my mother was explained that my son barely could find any meat in his ribs, his response was "everyone loves my ribs, so that not the issue and besides I'm not taking the word of a fourteen old" with slurred words and a attitude. I got annoyed. I've been In hospitality industry and work with culinary trained chefs for the pass 20 years. No one is that arrogant when it comes to a complaint. And no properly trained owner or chef comes to a table with an attitude without trying to smooth things over. When I got involved he screamed " Jesus Christ" and left the room. We saw him in the bar on the way out having yet another drink, I'll never go back or recommend going to an establishment where the owner is more concern about his next drink then serving a customer. I don't think this moron understands that repeat customers are more important that a fresh scotch. read more

Warm beer! Wet wine! Waiter spilled wine on my girlfriend. Food was disgusting. Corn flake Chicken was so gross. Couldn't even stand to chew the chicken. Grosses texture. You know the one. Salad was a joke, weeds w cauliflower bits on top tossed in dressing by the way $4. We ordered the steak frites also, hmmm is all I can say. So $45 dollars later... don't eat hear. It is absolutely awful. Not a manager on site to come to the table. read more

People seem to be leaving a lot of comments in reference to politics here. The "decor" is less about politics and more about the owner seeming to be complaining. From the sign when you walk in about people not wanting to work, to the inflation breakdown of the cost of butter on the menu, and finally the complaining about credit card fees on the menu, the owner just seems to be really upset that it's difficult to run a business. Running a business surely is difficult and expensive but it's super offputting to publicly complain about the cost of a restaurant that you have willingly signed up to open and run. I also see a lot of comments saying that the one upside of this restaurant is that their food is good. For somewhere that claims to be a farm to table none of the food here tasted fresh and it was rather gross. This restaurant is an absolute waste of money and I surely won't be back. read more

Meh. That's the best word I can use to describe this place. Aside from being over-priced, over-political, and underwhelming. My family and I are in town to be together for a funeral and we came here hoping to have a good meal here. We called last week to make a reservation for 12 and asked to sit in the wine room and was told it was a $100 charge just to sit there. Upon arrive tonight for our 6:00 reservation, there was no one in the restaurant. No music was playing and it was just very strange and not welcoming. We sat down and was greeted by our server and it started pleasant enough. Fast forward to getting our food, most of us were really disappointed. My $40 filet mignon was medium when I asked for it rare, lamb chops were so tough and over cooked that they were inedible. Mussel appetiser was pathetically small in size and honestly smelled like sweaty feet. My father ordered an espresso and let me tell you- this was literal American coffee poured into an espresso cup. We know because we drink espresso all day being an Italian family. Our check was well over $1,000 and not worth it at all. The owners miss no opportunity to make the customer feel unwelcome and stupid. Things plastered over their menu claiming credit card fees because they don't wanna "pay for your miles", or they "don't care what's written on yelp" so they won't even see this, but trust me; save your money and go somewhere else. read more

SO... I'm running errands today & decide to stop for a bit of lunch at a restaurant in Fishkill that I've been to once previously & liked. But this time, the host has a slightly icy edge & instructs me to "sit wherever I want," &, when I ask for something, she doesn't respond, just turns on her heels & leaves my table of one, only to return with what I request but with a look in her eyes that says, "boy, are you high maintainence." I compliment the music she's playing & ask if she made the playlist, I compliment the wine, & I say thank you 22 times. Then, once my salad & sandwich have arrived, I look to my left at a display they call "signs of the times," & there are blatant pro-Trump propaganda messages prominently displayed and others that say things like "Social-ISM Distancing." Come ON! It just doesn't make sense to me. Believe what you want to believe, that's a blessing of our county, but don't expect me to play along. I should have left. read more

This place has been my favorite restaurant for years. It has always had imaginative incredibly tasty food, and the ambiance was always extremely appealing. The food up to this last time has been really delicious and always a treat. It has easily been my favorite restaurant in the area. What happened? I order a filet mignon, which I'd probably the easiest thing to cook. The piece of steak used was really sub-par for a restaurant like this. The steak itself was cooked perfect, but the quality of the meat was really below standards. A portion of the filet was basically a piece of fat with some veins sticking out, so for me who order filet mignon precisely because I want to have a piece of steak without any veins or fat on it, 1/3 was completely inedible. In addition when I got to the restaurant to pick it up, I saw a plastic bag at the corner of the bar with a black little book that is usually where the receipt is kept, without any waitress. One walked by and said she will be back. FYI - I don't mind waiting, I know that businesses get busy and no one needs to drop everything g they are doing and run to me the minute I walk in. What I do expect though is courtesy and politeness. After about 5 minutes or less another woman came out. She complained that she was busy, was extremely edgy, and took my debit card and the receipt with such exaggerated annoyance I distinctly felt she really just wanted me to get behind the counter and process my own bill, like self checkout in a supermarket. Considering the piece of meat served was below the standard of filet mignon and I asked for roasted potatoes and carrots as a side and got roasted potatoes and a vegetable medley that I could not completely identify (even if you need to replace an item ordered, you should tell a person that you have instead of just giving it to them, what if I had allergies?), I was just kind of shocked. I really regret never posting now about how great they have been in the past, because I do think you should compliment people when they do well. Their pasta is still great, there is a pasta dish that includes stuffed pasta with pears that is wonderful, but I am honestly not sure I can trust them to cook my meat again. I get that we have lived through a pandemic, but why serve crappy piece of meat, call it filet mignon and change $40 or whereabouts for the dish? Restaurants today seem to focus more on making things look posh them actually serving decent food. I guess this one is going down that route as well. Very very disappointed. read more

Your outspoken political signage isn't necessary nor is it commentary to the ambience that was most certainly well thought-out out and cultivated to pair most appropriately with your cuisine. A shame to muddy up what possessed such opportunity. read more

We've eaten here many times, brought family and friends here, lunch and dinner. Tonight, we headed there for our annual anniversary dinner. It's our favorite place. We looked up the menu before coming so that we could order right away, and noticed that prices had risen steeply, but that was okay. We usually choose a table by the bookshelves and wines because it is very romantic on this occasion, if available. Sometimes there is a wait, but after Covid it was usually half empty so we had no waiting periods. The hostess met us with breezy, cool demeanor. We told her, table for two. She asked if we had reservations, we said no. She seemed miffed about that, then grabbed menus and walked inside. So we followed, there were empty tables. She pointed toward one in the middle and we asked if we could sit at the empty one by the books. She rudely and gruffly replied "No, that's reserved." I mentioned that we ate here for our anniversary every year, we were not aware of reservations being required, I guess that was a recent change. She nastily replied "Oh, it's ALWAYS required reservations since I've been here." Well! How long have you been here? We did not recognize her at all. We sat, and I felt very uncomfortable. The music was 1970's era Rock n' Roll, just out of place there, not in keeping with the decor. Our special evening had a bitter start, and I mentioned to my husband that perhaps it is not a good idea to eat here, let's go home and go someplace else next Saturday to make up for this. My husband was upset, and so was I - the hostess, I guess was also the waitress. She asked brusquely if we wanted water, I said yes. I was standing by then. We decided to leave. I met her on the way out, and said, I'm sorry, we're not staying. Outside, we decided not to let this experience spoil our evening, so we decided to go to another restaurant. On the way out of the parking lot we noticed a new restaurant at the end, AMA Wood Fired Kitchen and Bar. We were greeted by a very friendly Maitre d' who invited us to sit at the bar while waiting for a table. Warm, busy ambiance with a burning wood fire behind the bar, but not chaotic. We will be back, but not to Farm to Table Bistro. It has lost it's charm. People mentioned political signage, but we did not notice any, it was dark outside. That would be a bit inhospitable. I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant in my life! Tonight was a first. read more

Grandmother's 100th Birthday We wanted to make our Grandmother's 100th birthday truely special so we contacted the owner Chris and asked if they could accomodate us with a party of 12. Let me put it to you this way, the level of attention we received was beyond exceptional. We were offered their private room for a nominal cost and were asked if we wanted a preset menu or their regular menu. We were then asked if we were bringing a birthday cake or if they could customize a cake for us, which we opted. The food was exceptional and our server Kat was a true professional and a delight. Now, you know when you're dealing with great people when they Customized the Menu with our Grandmother's name on it wishing her a "Happy 100th Birthday"! This is a place I would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Dutchess County, Beacon and Fishkill! Thank you everyone from Farm to Table Bistro for making our Grandmother's 100th Birthday very special! read more

Over priced food for what it is. Fish smelled his awful. Threw it out. Burger was okay but I've had better.

Let me begin by saying that I have been here twice before and really liked the food and the atmosphere. Because of that when we decided to get together with friends for dinner to celebrate New Year's Eve at the last minute, we thought of this place. I called the day before and was offered an 8pm reservation...perfect! It was downhill from there... We arrived exactly at 8 and the hostess took us to our table in the back of the restaurant, which isn't the best location in the place, but worked for us because it wasn't as noisy as the main area of the dining room. But out table wasn't prepared for us, so she was pushing tables together (we were a party of 6) and (quite literally) throwing napkins with silverware and menus onto the table. OK, it's New Years, maybe the last people had just left... We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. After about a half an hour our server came to our table. By now we were ready to order out drinks as well as our food. After another 20 minutes our drinks came to the table. My friend and I had ordered dirty martini's and actually asked and were told that yes, they have blue cheese stuffed olives in them. Well, 2 regular vodka martini's came out. Also another friend at the table had ordered a Manhattan, which was all vermouth, barley any bourbon, and no cherry. Waitress left the table and didn't come back, so my friend took the martin's back to the bar herself. The bartender said they didn't have any olives..."the daytime bartender must have used them all and didn't tell me". He remade the martini's. When the waitress arrived to the table with our appetizers, the Brussels sprout salad and the calamari, which were both very good, we sent to Manhattan back to the bar. A new one arrived, equally as bad. No bread came to the table, so finally we asked (I must say it is some of the best bread I have ever had, and we were told on a past visit it come directly from Italy...delish!) By now it is well past 9:00 and we are just getting our entrees. The rack of lamb was very good, the Beggar's purse pasta very good, the short ribs, very salty, to the point of being difficult to eat, the Zuppa de Pesce, fair (the seafood was good, the sauce was watery and flavorless), and the last entree, you ask? Well it didn't arrive! After bringing the first 5 entrees to the table the server left and came back 5 MINUTES LATER, to say they had run out of the schnitzel 30 minutes before and because of some miscommunication in the kitchen she was unaware. Unreal! My friend ended up ordering a burger because he wanted something quick since the rest of us were already eating. Not the nice New Years dinner he was hoping for. This was the same friend with the bad manhattan. We asked to speak to the manager and were told "the owner just left". We asked how might we be compensated for the poorly made drinks, and more concerning the dinner debacle. The server left the table and returned stating she had called the owner and explained all that had happened, and she said he told her that there would be no compensation and expected us to pay the bill in full. We were all shocked and livid. The server then left and spoke to the bar tender and they decided the best they could do was take off the 2 most expensive drinks (the martini's). The burger should have also been compensated. Bad business, Mr. O'Brien, if you ask me. Fortunately dinner isn't all that makes for a good holiday celebration, we enjoyed the company of our friends and will have this story to tell over and over again...you know word of mouth is the best revenge! read more

IT IS NOT SAFE TO EAT HERE. Staff is unmasked and was rude when asked about it. Ordered food from this place to be delivered. Not only was the food not what we ordered, but It took a very very very long time to get it. BUT when we called back this place to tell them, the girl on the phone named Kiera, was rude and told us we were wrong. It's not rocket science to get an order of two soups and two salads right! I can expect that sometimes people make mistakes, but to accuse me of ordering wrong???? Please !!!!! I'm so aggravated! I will never again order anything from this place again!!! We then called back and the owner got on the phone. Talk about unprofessional! Trust me, if you want good service this is not the place to get it. read more

Saturday afternoon. Food is over priced for quality and portion size. Burger and sandwiches served with a bit of greens, no coleslaw or fries. 2 pickle chips given. Pastrami Rueben-was missing sauerkraut, cheese, and Russian dressing. It was served on nice marble rye with a decent amount of lean meat. Apple streusel dessert was short on apples with an excess of vanilla sauce- presentation needs improvement. Burger didn't look too appetizing. Atmosphere is comfortable and waitress was nice . Was expecting it to have much better food. Probably won't be back or recommend it to friends. read more

I purchased a deal from Groupon and what a waste of money. Supposedly it was 50% off but for $15 I got a jar of sauce a few cookies and not much else to write home about. The customer service is worse than bad. Stay away from these people and look for another company. read more

Probably one of the most unprofessional restaurants I have ever been to. The dinner began with the waiter spilling sangria on my brother and gf. While the food was good, I was expecting the waiter to comp something from the bill. Upon receiving the bill, that was not the case. The waiter then asked the owner if something can be done with the bill and the owner replied with "no." Based on the circumstances this was very surprising and made me question the integrity of the ownership. With that said, I would not recommend Farm to Table to anyone. read more

An unmasked waitress greeted us in the restaurant's tent. We're a group of folks between 65-81 years old. So it's prudent for us to ask the unmasked, "Are you vaccinated?" (Why? Because we do not want to die!) The woman replied, rudely, 'That is an inappropriate question!" The manager appeared and treated us like we were low lives. The social contract of basic decency and regard for fellow humans was broken. I assume it is their ( reactionary) politics. For us it is about not getting ill and potentially dying on a vent. SHAME ON THIS PLACE! Shame on their ethics and decency! read more

Been here three times. Last visit was 2017. We looked forward to returning because we enjoyed it so much. Place still has a great atmosphere but the food was awful. The chicken was tasteless and swimming in a disgusting butter sauce as were my unidentifiable "mixed vegetables ." The "pan seared" Brussels were boiled and bland. Everything was swimming in butter as if to make up for the lack of flavor and creativity. And my waiter! Ugh! Nice guy but clueless. What are the sides? Didn't know. He had to go look it up then he couldn't remember what he had read. Worse was an owner statement on the front of the menu that said that they don't respond to Yelp comments and that they "don't care." Well I don't care to EVER go back. Your food has hit the bottom of the barrel. You should care. read more

So I came here recently for a "date night" with my female. First off, let me say I found the decor insulting to my intelligence. They try to pull off some kind of sanitized postmodern farmy quaintness. I get it, but I just don't like it. I much prefer authentic filth to bougie pretension. But anyway, the food. So we sit down and as our waiter is better looking than I am, I decide to have my fiancee order for me to see if she flirts with him. She did not and I can now put my insecurities to rest and enjoy my meal. She orders me the burrata salad with butternut squash and we share the chorizo clams as a starter. The burrata was plump and creamy and butternut squash is fresh and flavorful. However, we found the clams to be on the rubbery side. For my entree, I got the sauteed chicken with soppressata. The chicken was very good, texture and flavor-wise but the dish itself included the sides plated together which with the sauce made it a bit rich. I simply removed the soppressata and gave it to my Italian fiancee. All in all, this is a fine restaurant. It is on the pricier side considering what the check was and the fact that I didn't even drink. Would have been WELL over three figures if I had. read more

This is one of those reviews corroborating the very spotty performance of FTT. Having only been there once, I feel under-qualified to give a fuller review - but out of 4 diners in one visit, none of us were happy with our meals. Execution errors left and right coming out of the kitchen (overcooked schnitzel, rubbery langostino, overly sour amatriciana sauce....) combined with slow, inattentive service and higher-end pricing for Dutchess County do not add up to a formula that will have me scrambling to come back. I guess the broader point is that many of the Yelp reviews of FTT suggest that you are taking your chances when you come here - some people seem to get terrific meals that live up to the sumptuous descriptions on the menu, but many do not. I fell squarely into the latter category. read more

This is a very challenging review to write. I had dinner here exactly 2 weeks apart, same day, same time, and it was two completely different dining experiences. The first night, we left thinking we had struck gold and found the best restaurant in the Hudson Valley. We brought friends back the next week and were completely embarrassed that we had raved about a place that was so barely mediocre, and often outright terrible. During our pleasant experience, we started with the Arthur Ave. It was filled with meats, cheese, and an assortment of pickles, olives, sundried tomatoes, and 4 pieces of honey and balsamic glazed toast. For meals we had the Chippino (tasty, but lacking pasta. A way we had never seen this dish served), the pork shop (flawless), and the beggars purse (fabulous). Then came dessert. We had the blueberry crepe as well as the pear option. Both were delicious, however, the blueberry crepe was out of this world, and like paradise, as was the homemade whipped cream. Enter, terrible experience. We started, again, with the Arthur Ave. This time, the dish had no pickles or olives, but rather some bagged carrot shreds and some pickled onions. It also only had 2 pieces of toast...for 4 people. For meals we had the beggars purse (still tasty, but with barely any peas this week), the cornflake fried chicken (so dry that it was basically jerky), the beef medallions (ok), and the bolognese (not so great). The fingerling potatoes, however, were very tasty. Even though the meals were meh, we still raved about the dessert. We all ordered the blueberry crepe and nearly spit them out at the same time. They were basically sticks of philadelphia cream cheese, wrapped in dough and drizzled with blueberry. They also lacked whipped cream. I've never seen anything so completely opposite, or which made me gag so much on the way down. We asked the waitress if there was a different chef or what the issue could be. She said she had no idea, and truthfully, looked quite scared. We explained that we had been only a week prior and were so happy that we came back, only to be very surprised. She apologized and then asked if we liked our desserts since they were all still on the plates. We then explained that the pound of cream cheese on each plate made them inedible. She apologized again and took 2 off the bill. Both visits provided very nice service and a well decorated interior, the inconsistency of the food, however, is something that will prevent us from ever going back. read more

"Farm to Table"...not really. The menu barely featured any produce or items grown in or around the Hudson Valley region. The menu was also lacking in any variety or originality. I take that back. The lamb burger (which was cooked two degrees over my liking but whatever) was speckled with what looked like maggots. It threw me off base for a second until I realised it was farro. Weird. Why wasn't this listed on the menu? I lost my appetite after the first bite. But..... the freshly-fried, packaged french fries were salted well. The ambience was okay. Lighting was awkward since there's only one window. Our server had no knowledge of anything on the menu. Any time I asked if there was "this or that" in the dish, he would go to the kitchen and return saying, "we think it might be..." which means neither the kitchen staff nor the servers working that shift know the menu. Also, as other users have said, the server came over after he cleared our dishes and informed us that 5 of the desserts were unavailable. Well thank you, now I have an excuse to go to Dairy Queen. Ridiculous. If you're going to name a restaurant "Farm to Table", you should actually practice what you preach. read more

Not an easy review to write. We liked Mojo Grill and wanted to like Farm to Table. In the end, I think we wanted it to better than they did. This is a two star review - honestly, the second star is giving them the benefit of the doubt. We were there on a Saturday night - we were offered a table either on the bar side or in the dining room. We opted for the dining room. It was about 1/2 full at 8 pm. Terrific atmosphere - the room is large, very airy and pleasantly decorated. Very inviting, comfortable space. High marks here. The staff was eager, polite and perhaps just a tad uneven. They've been open for just ten weeks and inexperience shows every now and again. But certainly, no complaints with the wait staff. The menu is quite extensive - something for everyone, I would say. On paper, it's quite appealing. (It states that they source most of their ingredients locally or regionally; you have to take that on faith as outside of a mention of one Sprout Creek cheese, nothing is specified.) We ordered the grilled portobello and crab cake 'small plates' as appetizers. The grilled mushroom was terrific, the crabcake was good. Alls well thus far. Then the train went off the rails. My wife ordered the scallops, roasted potatoes and carrots. The carrots were fine. The plate had three scallops which had been doused in something that was a dead-ringer for that spice mixture the BAM! guy on the Food Channel used to pitch. Neither of us ate them - they were over-seasoned, overcooked and just a mess. The roast potatoes were similarly unappealing. Hard to imagine what the heck went wrong, but it went wrong. Inedible. I ordered the Panko-crusted halibut. I knew I was in trouble the second the fork hit it. It was a slightly-warmed brick of very dry fish. I can't overstate how dry this critter was - I would say that I got a bad plate, but a woman at the table next to us had the very same experience moments later. It was truly bad. We were mystified at how the meal turned out. In all the years we've been dining out, even when we have a bad meal, we always give the server the obligatory 'dinner was fine' when they ask after the meal. For the first time, we actually told the waiter that it really, really was anything but fine. He listened intently, politely and thanked us for our candor. If he reported it to anyone above him, they had no interest other than delivering the bill. Not a good sign. Most often, when a new restaurant misses, we go back and give it another shot when they've gotten their legs under them. For $120, w/ tip, for two people, I can't justify giving them another look. (Two people, each having an entree, appetizer and one glass of wine.) This was a rough one. read more

Made a reservation for my mother's birthday tonight and was very disappointed from the moment we sat down. The waiter was very in attentive from the get go. He took 30 minutes to bring us our wine and bread. There were very few people in the restaurant so there was no reason for this poor service. One of the people at our table ordered baby back ribs and they were extremely charred on the outside. She was not able to eat them. She asked for them to be packed up and the waiter never packed them up. Also, the mussels were non existent, very little meat inside. Overall a very underwhelming experience for such a pretty place. I will not return and would not recommend. read more

Atmosphere and ambience are the only redeeming qualities! Bread was serve cold and had no taste. Our " small plates" were also served lukewarm at best. Fried calamares where good. The Lobster Bisque seemed watered down, had very little taste . The Escargots were also served warm, the onion soup was the only one pipping hot. It seems to me that there is no coordination between the kitchen and the waiters.. The small piece of salmon had to be sent back; again cold. My so call Moroccan burger was brought to the table medium, when I requested medium rare. As for the topping, it is as far of Moroccan flavors, as Morocco is from the restaurant ! The fries came also warm and kind of mushy. The Filet mignon was obviously a butterflied piece, though it was very tasty and cook as requested, but for the price $28 you should be getting the full filet. Meanwhile I am still waiting for my burger. It finally came when my three dinner companions were just about done! I was no longer hungry! The manager came and apologized, and compted us for three meals. Our bill was closed to $100 ( no alcohol ) pretty steep !! We will not go back, not worth it! read more

I have to say the restaurant is a beautiful place inside. The decor is wonderful, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I ordered off the Prix Fixe menu for restaurant week and chose these three items: 1) Pasta Sugo All'amatriciana 2) Smothered Organic Boneless Breast of Chicken 3) Perry's "One Buffalo" ice Cream (choc and vanilla) plus 3 rounds of drinks from the bar - 2x Rusty Winters and one Grappa The pasta was good. The sauce was a bit bland and lacked some flavor. I did like the use or large cuts of onion. I didn't taste any pecorino romano cheese at all (if it was in there) and there was maybe 1 or two small pieces of Guanciale. If I every go back, I probably wouldn't order it again The chicken was also bland. It was cooked well and was juice, but I wouldnt call it smothered. It was covered with one big slice of soppressata and one slice of Provolone, but it added very little to the dish. The patatos that accompanied my dish was delicious but not cooked evenly. Some of the pieces were hard as in almost undercooked while others were mushy and over cooked. I am not a fan of brussels sprouts anyway, so take this part with that in mind. I found the sprouts to be very soggy and bitter. The Ice cream was good. Nothing to report really here. My biggest issue with this place was the bar service. We sat down and ordered drinks almost immediately. Our first course had arrived long before our drinks did. I was almost through my first course when the drinks finally arrived. The waitress was very apologetic and did her best to make up for it. Since one of our group ordered the slow braised crispy pork, we had a slight wait for the second course (menu tells us its 25 minute cook time) In this wait time, and based on our waitress promise that the next round of drinks would not take as long, we ordered a second round. Needless to say that the second course pretty much came and went without getting our second round. We requested to speak to the manager, but our waitress had informed us that the manager was behind the bar helping out and if we wanted to speak to him, we should go over to see it (yes it was our job to get him). Its a shame really, because I could have seen going back here, but after the way they treated our request, I was a bit insulted. To their credit they credited us "1 round" of drinks, but in actuality they just gave us a percentage discount off our drinks, which funny enough, didn't actually cover a round of drink, but about five dollars less. Hopefully when you go they have fired the bartender and the manager of the place and hired competent people. I have a feeling given how empty the place was on a Saturday night, that this issue of service has been going on for a while. **edit - I original wanted to be fair and give three stars, but given their response to one of our dinner companions. 1 star read more

Warm, welcoming, quiet. Neat restaurant, in the vein of the 'slow food movement'. Farm to table, uses fresh ingredients, directly culled from the Hudson Valley. Came with a friend for quiet dinner. Got it. Unhurried atmosphere, delicious cuts of meat; flavorful salads. Night was slow, very few diners. Dessert menu needs work. Rebel Reviewer says: 4 stars. read more

We had a bad experience overall: Firstly, they haven't invested in a high-chair so our 13 month old son had to sit on our laps the entire meal. They didn't seem concerned about not having a high chair either. I ordered the scallops special and for $23 I expected more than 5 small scallops with 2 blackened whole carrots on top. My wife's chorizo pasta dish was missing the chorizo. No one at our table was very impressed with their dishes especially for the price. The waitress forgot my wife's glass of wine and didn't even remember she ordered it. The beer selection is very ordinary and they really haven't embraced the craft beer movement that's happening. With a name like "farm to table" I expected an amazing local NY beer selection but all I got was Stella and Sam Adams. read more

I first visited Farm to Table in August. That experience was less than perfect but, if you read that review, you'll see I felt a Mulligan was in order. This visit was different, but not necessarily better. First, let me say that the bar staff, particularly Justin, are great. Very friendly, professional and attentive. Our waiter, Mark, was entertaining, had a quick wit and worked his butt off. The space is big and really well done. We were two couples. My wife and I arrived first and sat at the bar for drinks and the PEI mussels which were amazing. We were seated at 8:30. All of us ordered specials as entrees (3 meatloaf and 1 duck). I also ordered the soup special (potato). After a bit Mark told us that they were out of meatloaf and the soup as well as one of the sides (roasted potatoes) that two of us had ordered. We switched to two salmons and a veal bolognese and I made it a fourth salad. The two salmon entrees were very good, the veal was good, but the duck was a disaster, first undercooked and then just not appetizing. That was also switched to salmon. We were comped a drink and dessert for our trouble. At other restaurants I've been visited by the owner or manager for far less of a mishap. That didn't happen here. It seems to me that there are still plenty of misfires here, mostly operational. I'm perplexed by these experiences given how good Mojo Grill was. If not for Mojo I would have gone with two stars. For now, I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

The sign you have in your entrance to your restaurant blaming your shortage of staff on "people who don't want to work" is false. People don't want to work for less than minimum wage. You are the only business that can GET AWAY w/o paying ppl the minimum wage and push it to your customers. You give no benefits, time off, sick pay and you are complaining. PAY WORKERS A LIVING WAGE! or maybe you... are not a good boss. The "hand outs" they paid into in their taxes for times of struggle. Three hundred$ is not enough $$ t keep anyone from working. Get your facts straight before you put up an insulting and incorrect sign. read more
