Since the restaurant owner is adamant that they don't read or respond to yelp, I'm writing this for you! We visited because we had a gift certificate--no other reason. The food was not particularly flavorful. My husband said his French Onion soup had no flavor at all, and is convinced is was frozen before it was served. My burrata salad was swimming in a vinegary dressing. The server didn't bring bread until we asked for it, but the bread was good. My daughter enjoyed her Beggar's Purse. My Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl relied heavily on the wasabi and other sauces for flavor. The server didn't clear all the dinner dishes before our dessert was served. The frosting on the red velvet cake seemed to have picked up an odor from being refrigerated. We think this place has potential but they haven't yet found their groove. read more

We stopped here as we thought with a name like "Farm to Table" we could not go wrong. More like "table to trash". Two of us ordered the ravioli and it was disgusting and cold. One of us ordered a burger it was awful and the steak sandwich was soaked in tons of sauce. So in summary there's no "farm", the food was trash and when the server noticed I didn't eat, she did not remove it from the check. If Farm To Table were to put a vegan option on their menu, I'd be their biggest fan in the neighborhood (hint: The Impossible Burger is very popular these days. I would not be the only person ordering it). But in the meantime, I'll be hitting up their bar on the regular so that I can drink glass after glass of Montepulciano while savoring the country-chic environs. I really really dig this place. It is beautifully decorated with so many brilliant touches that I appreciate. For example, take a look at that intricately carved lip on the bar top. And I die over those beautiful pocket doors that separate the bar from the main dining room. You walk in and immediately forget that you're in strip mall. Well done. I admit the first visit had me a little cranky because the name implies that there would be something for me to eat here, only the menu doesn't have a single vegan option. They were kind enough to put something together for me (that, admittedly is not memorable). Truth is, I was so taken with the ambiance and the proximity to my house, I knew I had to come back and I'm glad we did. Like I said, a delicious Montepulciano by the glass, plus a good pilsner on tap for my guy. Royale behind the bar & Stephanie serving the dining room were great to talk to (we might have kept them a little past closing. Sorry to be those people!) The atmosphere is good but the food is bad. I ordered meatloaf with broccoli. The included mash potatoes were so salty as to be inedible. The broccoli had zero seasoning. Not lacking, literally nothing on it. The sauce on the meatloaf, also needing moisture and seasoning, was like scoops of pure tomato paste. Desert went from bad to worse.... The red velvet cake was clearly not homemade. It came out super cold and had the taste that it had been sitting uncovered inside the refrigerator for a long time. We love this place! We just went for the first time and we're already planning our next visit. The food was delicious and fresh. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Emily was our server and she was impeccable! My husband had the Asian lamb chops and escargot. I had oysters, a fantastic arugula salad with goat cheese, apples and walnuts, and a wonderful seafood bouillabaisse. Even their gluten free bread was yummy. My husband and I usually love this place: low key, amazing food, seamless service. Unfortunately, I think tonight is our last night eating here. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a collage of overly political, mean-styled signs. We may not always share politics viewpoints with everyone, but to start the evening feeling attacked by the overt mean-spiritedness of the signs wasn't the quiet, lovely date night we were expecting. We've been coming for years but today felt very second class also because we didn't have a reservation. We have never made one before and have never had issues with getting a table, but today it was clear that we were "bothering them" with our walk in dining. It's too bad, because we still had great service and amazing food. But bringing a judgy attitude to what's supposed to be a night off from the stress of daily life...well, just not worth it. I went there today with my daughter and the food and service was excellent. I was shocked when I saw a 4% service charge added for using a credit card. I did not give a 20% tip as usual but only 15%. The owner really has a nerve. I guess he wants cash so he doesn't have to claim it on taxes. I dine out a lot and no other restaurants that I go to charge a surcharge for using a credit card. They should be happy that people even go there with the economy so bad right now. Terrible thing to do to people. Probably wont go back because of that. read more

Walking into this restaurant and being a political moderate, it was still evident that there is a politically polarizing atmosphere from the getgo. I decided to let the food and service speak for the place instead of the instant barrage of messages, and despite the calamari and pretzel being good, me and my brothers steaks came out overcooked and flavorless. The cheese for the pretzel was fake and processed, and even the red velvet cake had a pre packaged frozen taste as noted by my dad. Just an incredibly bad and shocking experience. We had a party of six, we had reservations for 8pm and were seated right away. Then things went downhill. We waited 40 minutes for our drinks to come out. The mixed drinks were not made correctly. Dirty martinis had no olive juice so they were not dirty. The Manhattan was mostly vermouth, not bourbon. No olives for the martinis and no cherries for the Manhattan, they were out of those. They blamed it on the daytime bartender not ordering more olives and cherries. Ok, should have just ordered a bottle of beer I guess. The two appetizers and bread came about an hour after we were seated. The apps were good, maybe because we were so hungry?? So I feel one star is justified for the Brussels sprouts. But the most amazing thing was when the meals were served, about 90 minutes after we were seated,the waitress told me they had run out of the schnitzel that I ordered. She told me about 5 minutes after the other 5 people were served and I was wondering where my meal was. I was shocked, she blamed it on the "board" not being updated properly. I guess there is limited vocal communication behind the scenes here. She suggested I get a pastrami sandwich since it would be quick. I ordered a burger instead. Time for the bill and we asked to be comped in some way, you know like no charge for the stupid burger I ordered. Maybe a discount for the drinks that were made as if the bartender failed bartender school. Well the owner "just left" but the waitress called him and he said there would be nothing off the bill. We were to pay the full bill with the 20% tip that had been added on. After some additional discussion she took the two horrible martinis off the bill. Aside from our lovely and accommodating server, the whole experience was underwhelming and uncomfortable. The ambiance was on point, but the food was awful. Our reservation was on the early side of a Saturday evening and I was told that the kitchen was out of my original order. I then ordered my second choice and was wholly unsatisfied. The fish was soggy as were the fries and onion rings. It was like eating rubber. The other people at my table were not thrilled with their meals either. The adjoining table was registering a complaint with their waitress who they then accused of being rude and nasty. The owner then came over and began yelling at the patrons. It was very uncomfortable. When the waitress came to collect our dinner plates I informed her of my unsatisfactory dining experience. She was very apologetic and asked if I wanted anything else. At that point, I was done. No appetite. She went to tell the owner, but he never came to the table. He told her to speak to the chef who then blamed her for not picking up the food fast enough!! Believe me, that is not the reason our meals were subpar. Our waitress took it upon herself to credit my glass of wine as well as my coffee order. Upon leaving, the owner came over to us to apologize for the incident at the neighboring table, then proceeded to blame those diners!! Decided to come here for lunch with my husband despite the poor reviews on yelp cause reviews on Google maps were much better. I should've listened to my fellow yelpers. There were barely any customers so I expected our waiter to be more attentive, but unfortunately he wasn't. Hubby had a draft beer and I also ordered one. Our waiter obviously didn't know how to pour a beer cause it was mostly foam and it was also warm. The food was mediocre and it sure didn't seem "farm to table". Hubby had a Cubano that was just bland and i had a chicken sandwich that was just ok served with a very wet salad. We also ordered an appetizer of chickpeas,prosciutto and mushrooms. The mushrooms and prosciutto were fine, but the chickpeas tasted really off pudding. The ambiance was ok, they have a wine room that seemed like a nice space for a group dinner. I personally do not care about anyone's work place drama but it might help work moral if whoever is in charge learned a more polite way of speaking to people.. After being told by an employee who was literally running past us that he would be right back to seat us, we were rudely told we should have made reservations if we were going to be coming out to eat during a pandemic.... Cocktails were average at best and they should really change the name of the Arthur Ave sampler to something else because it was terribly disappointing like old uncovered cold cuts found in the back of the fridge. Rigatoni were so overcooked that they broke when you tried to pick one up and the short ribs were more like a boil-in-bag pot roast. We won't be going back. what a massive disappointment and waste of money. We last minute had a free night with no kids and our favorite place was booked. We remembered we used to love FTT so we called to see if they had a table. She 'squeezed us in'. We get there to an empty restaurant (left with only 4 tables). My pasta tasted like it was made in canned tomato soup. Sweet and watery. My husband's short rib was tender yet unseasoned. He had to 'upgrade' his one side (a SIMPLE garden salad) for $5 up charge. We told the server the pasta was watery and overly sweet and I did not like it to which he responded 'aw sorry'. $100 wasted. Our food was very good - from the appetizer to the dessert. We ordered the appetizer special: Surf & Turf Tempura - An interesting spin on a sushi roll. Delicious (a bit spicy if you're not ready for it). I ordered the Thursday night special - King Crab legs. The legs are already halved for you, making it much easier and cleaner to eat. I was a little leery that the meat would be dried out and overdone. But happily, it was perfectly cooked! My husband had the Korean BBQ Lamb Chops. Very tender, cooked to perfection - charred on the outside, pink in the middle! For dessert we shared the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie a la mode. We couldn't really taste the bourbon. But the pie was very good. Not too sweet and the chocolate was not overpowering but definitely present. The ambiance was very nice. Modern decor, dimly lit, with calm and quiet conversations at each table. Overall we had a pleasant evening and our waitress, Kat, was amazing! read more

Currently my favorite restaurant near my NY apartment. This place has nailed every meal I had here and the best part is all the food is local grown. The menu rotates throughout the year and is aways aligned with the seasons and what you want to be eating at that time of year. Ambiance is lovely and the parking is ample. The setting is quiet in the dining room and appropriate in the bar area. I prefer to eat outside under the awning surrounded by the shrubbery that makes you forget your how close you are to Rte 9. Overall I would highly recommend this spot for dates, business meetings, and adult group settings. Probably not the most 'kid friendly' menu in the world but it's not so adventurous that you couldn't find something for little ones too! It's a gem, and definitely worth a try; all the dishes I've had have been delish and I'm confident in highly recommending this for a great night out with an extremely enjoyable meal! read more

LESS THAN GOOD BUT NOT COMPLETELY HORRIBLE: The Positive: -Ambiance and seating -Overall décor and vibe in the establishment -Attentive and polite waitress/service -Lobster Roll on special was PACKED with Lobster and was excellent -Sweet potato tots were crispy and delicious -Fried Brussel sprout salad was extremely flavorful and a table favorite ***SOME of the food was delicious however, the good DOES NOT outweigh the bad...*** The Negative: -Cocktails right off the rip were terrible. They were watery, bland, and clearly made by an inexperienced bartender. -Mussels served were either already bad/rancid or right on the cusp. They were served with a tinge of hot garbage and were flat/pressed (not fluffy and fresh). The sauce as a result was equally as off putting and we could not dip bread in it either. We had a few of the mussels and quickly realized we could not eat them/they were bad..... -The blue point oysters while not as bad as the mussels, were not fresh. They were also flat and just okay. 6/10 is being kind. -The ribs, I say with complete sincerity were the most absurd dish I recall being served in a restaurant. These things were so dry I thought we were being pranked when the plate hit the table surface. They were gray and there was no moisture left in them what so ever. When we politely and respectfully notified the waitress, she came back with "It has to do with the slow cooking process" from the chef which was a very lame attempt to validate the clearly justified complaint. -Broccoli served with the bland/below average salmon was flavorless and tasted like frozen reheated broccoli you would get in a grocery store... -Coffee machines broken for post meal dessert - a cappuccino and hot coffee order came back returned with bad news from our very polite waitress who informed us that the coffee machine was on the fritz... -We dined on a Sunday evening and the music was turned off and the entire restaurant made completely silent by approximately 8:30pm/8:45pm as we enjoyed our just average dessert. -Perhaps the fact that we were the only customers the entire evening for our 6:30 pm reservation should have raised a red flag... This kind of experience for a 4 top coming in above $500 was a huge let down. The waitress was able to credit us part of the ribs and take a beverage off the bill as a consolation but we would have much preferred to pay full price and enjoy a quality meal end to end. All in all this cozy little spot has the potential to be a solid dinner destination but seems to be lacking any sort of managerial accountability or quality control. TL; DR - Overpriced, food's not great, unsanitary, and prominently displays bizarre, profane, inappropriate political rants. My husband and I recently ate here (outside), and we will never go back. For context, it is currently November 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. 1. The food and drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. 2. There was a hair in our French fries. 3. They only gave one (printed paper) menu to each table. We were only two, but other tables had three or four people trying to share one menu. I assume this was a cost-cutting measure, but it was really awkward. 4. At one point another table asked for salt and pepper, and the server came and took our S&P shakers and set them down on their table. Without wiping them down or anything. We'd been handling them, and probably aerosolizing droplets of saliva on them as we spoke across the table. Why bother with the paper menus if you don't take any other sanitation precautions? 5. On the way out, we noticed *this sign* hanging in the front window.
