Bread , lasagna , special all was absolutely delightful

I've been wanting to try this place for years and it did not disappoint! The ambiance the service and the food were all top teir! It was the week before Christmas so parking was sparse, however valet made it super easy. I got a special which was abosolutley delicious. Complementary bread was brought to the table (multiple times upon request) it was warm soft and melts in your mouth. The accompanying whipped ricotta was equally delicious. I cannot wait to return!

Had lunch today at Fachini. It's a small restaurant accessed on the street beside Ralph Lauren and up a flight of stairs. I would agree overall with most of the posted reviews. It's a nice quaint space. Overall service was great. I had the 50 layer lunch lasagna and my wife had the snapper. Both were good. It was a nice lunch, I'd come back again and try some other dishes.

This place is worth the hype. All of our food was delicious & even the bread service was better than most. Great service too, we got to sit outside on the balcony & it was magical with the lights of HPV.

Fachini is an Italian restaurant located in Highland Park Village in Dallas. Atmosphere: A long walk up a red carpeted set of stairs (or there is an elevator) sets the stage for a fine dining experience. White table clothes and waiters in suits is the norm. 1 Star Service: One of my favorite things is the fact that the service is not only polite, but it is not pretentious like you would get in some other "ritzy" restaurants. The waiters are also attentive without being overbearing. They give you time to look at the menu and decide and only come to the table when they see you need something. They seem to read the table very well. 2 Stars Food: Fantastic Italian fair with bright sauces and some classic appetizers. We started with the Calamari which was delightfully crisp and hot out of the fryer. Nice accompanying condiments of a chunky marinara and tartar sauce. For entrees we each decided to get a different pasta and share. The portions are gratuitous and make for easy leftovers or just for snagging a bite from your table mates when they aren't paying attention. We ordered the Cappelletti Bolognese, the Lobster Ravioli, and the Rigatoni alla Vodka. As stated before, the sauces for each were delectable. The surprise for me was the classic tomato based sauce for the Lobster Ravioli. Almost always, Lobster Ravioli comes with a cream based sauce from my experience, and this was a wonderful revelation that I am all for. The Vodka sauce wasn't overly strong and had just that right amount of "oomph" to it. It was paired with a perfect pasta to help capture it. And finally the Capelletti, stuffed with savory meat and covered with a deep red bolognese sauce, was also delicious. 2 Stars Overall: What a great lunch, and it's easy to see why this is a goto spot for fine Italian food. It's inconceivable to me how you could continue shopping in The Village after filling up with this aptly portioned "abbondanza" of pasta, because for me it was a great lead into an afternoon nap! 5 Stars.

100 layer lasagna and veal parmigiana

This place has been on my Dallas to do list for a while. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun. The service is nice. Food isn't bad, but I wouldn't come here for the food. It's a place to have fun. Ambiance: Nice looking dining room. It is a bit loud, but it is still easy to have a conversation at the table. A fair number of people were dressed up on the Saturday evening we visited. The flimsy paper menus seemed out of place. Food: Everything was tasty and simple. We started with the carpaccio, then 100 layer lasagna and veal parmigiana, and finally tiramisu. Portions are sizable and hearty. We were fans of the tiramisu.

A great upscale experience. The service is top notch, my waiter was well informed on the wine list. Linguine vongole was a bit bland but other dishes and cocktails were great!

Everyone was attentive and the ambiance was unmatched. Went with my friend where I started with the This Drink is A-N-A-N-A-S which was honestly such a good drink. We shared the calamari as well as some meatballs, both of which were very good. My friend got the bolognese that I also had a bite of and the fact that the bolognese was in the pasta was just amazing. I had the rigatoni alla vodka that came out so hot and had the perfect flavor. I finished with the Fico Suave drink and it ended up being really refreshing. I definitely think I will be back!!

Service was top notch and the ambience was great. We ordered one serving of the 100 layer lasagna to share and they were nice enough to split the portion into 2 halves for us. It was delicious and the wagyu carpaccio was great too!

Fachini is a very classic American-Italian restaurant, kind of has a country club feel but very nice inside. The service / staff were great, our waiter was actually really funny. The food was super good, from the beef carpaccio to the veal parm. The cocktails were also good. I give a 4/5 because it is DEFINITELY a good restaurant, but at their prices, it better be. 250 dollars for dinner for two, including two apps two drinks and two entrees means I am expecting incredible food. So again it is really good, just maybe not matching with the price point.

A gauche person's idea of Italian-American cuisine. More of a scene than fine dining, and certainly not worth it at the price point.

The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
