Very appreciated.

After being…read moretotally screwed on our storage reservation through UHaul -I quickly contacted Public Storage to see if they could help us find a temporary home to the contents of our 17ft Uhaul! I spoke with Terry on the phone, who was not only extremely sympathetic but gave me all the information quickly and efficiently to get me a storage unit a few miles away from our current apartment. I was immediately contacted by Miranda at the location we are storing at to confirm my reservation I had made only minutes prior with Terry. With only 30 minutes till close on a Saturday afternoon, Miranda showed us the storage unit and completed all of our paperwork in about the same amount of time we spent standing in line at UHaul. As it turns out, the cost for a unit twice the size with a drive up door was less than the pathetic, incorrectly reserved unit we were supposed to get through UHaul. Even with the insurance they require you to purchase, I would pick this place to save yourself some stress. The only real issue we have had was getting our heavier items in storage up the small incline our storage unit sits on. My boyfriend is an auto mechanic and picking up an elephant might be easier than moving this thing! Needless to say, it was a challenge getting it into the unit with only two people. Perhaps, request a unit with more even access should you choose to store here! At the end of a horrible day, Public Storage was a life saver... we even joked that perhaps we went through the nightmare of a day with Uhaul to end up with exceptional service at Public Storage, instead!

When I asked why, I was told it was due to "market rates and demand," but the price increase did not feel justified at all. I contacted customer service and spent a significant amount of time trying to get help, but nothing was done to resolve the issue or keep me as a customer. The whole experience felt incredibly predatory and, frankly, like a scam. I'm moving my belongings elsewhere and would strongly recommend looking at other storage companies before renting here.

Reynell set us up with our unit. Y'all!! She is just about the sweetest and MOST helpful person I think I've ever dealt with in Buda. She answered all our questions with confidence and made sure they were all answered properly. The pricing is comparible to other storage places near by but they have some extras that will make you wanna go with Morningstar. Right now they're running a special for $1 the first month you're there. If you come at the end of the month they will prorate that one and give you the 2nd month for the dollar. What a great deal. That's ultimately what made up my husbands mind. The business itself is very clean and tidy. Our unit was immaculate before we put our stuff in. No dirt or dust to speak of. Its nice and bright so you can see what your doing and since they're open 24 hours a day, that definitely helps. I HIGHLY recommend taking your business here.

To our knowledge we had never received any email saying we needed to sign a new contract. After my wife contacted Morningstar regarding this email we were emailed a contract dated 2017. After telling them that we'd be happy to sign a contract dated 2024 we were told that if we didn't sign the contract by Monday the 30th they would lock up our belongings. Let me just affirm that we were paid in full and have diligently paid our bill for the entire time we have used their facilities. Further, we are both self employed and both lost a day of income because we will not do business with anyone so disrespectful and we moved out today. Further yet, when I looked the Morningstar website today I found that they are advertising storage lockers the same size as ours for 50 dollars less a month than we were paying them. In overview, I suspect that there is some other issue in management there. Why else would they present us with a contract backdated to 2017. Obviously, I cannot recommend this facility

It started with speaking with Steve (One of the owners) about four months ago, as I informed him that I was moving 300 miles to town suddenly and desperately needed a place to store all of my stuff. Steve promised to have a specific size reserved for me, and if they didn't have a unit available when I moved down, that he would let me use his personal garage. That wasn't necessary though, as Steve made sure there was a space available (With about six hours notice from me, once I finally discovered when I was moving), and handled all paperwork over the phone as I was in the middle of a five-hour drive, leaving a lock in the unit because he knew I'd be getting there late in the evening and didn't have a fitting lock. My storage unit was spotless, the entire storage complex was/is spotless, and he was completely understanding and provided incredible customer service when I needed emergency access to my unit at 5am the next week. I've spoken to Steve a couple of times since. He was kind enough to remind me of my due date after I missed payment two months later, and didn't charge me a late fee because they're good people. I just finished a phone call with Steve's son, Mike, who provided equally great customer service and was incredibly accommodating to my requests. I'm removing my things from their unit, only because I've found a place to live in Austin. I would gladly drive back to Buda to continue using their services, because of the amazing customer service I've received. There's no need to storage unit shop. Call them today. We moved from Missouri and needed self-storage until we decided where we wanted to settle in…read moreAustin. This location is super-South, but it worked out great for us for the price and space. It ended up that we moved three times during the five years we lived in Austin -- and we maintained our storage the entire time because we had different amounts of space at each of our residences. At one time we lived in north-central Austin (around Anderson Lane and Burnet Rd.) and still felt comfortable having storage in south Austin because of the atmosphere at BS&P. Plus there are multiple ways to get there if traffic is heavy in one particular area (for instance, major construction on Manchaca Rd. heading south). BS&P seems to take particular pride in the maintenance and appearance of their grounds. It was never trashy, the lighting is very good after dusk, and the buildings seem to be well maintained. I liked that there appears to be regular pest management, and again, it was always clean. Upon clearing out our units, we did not find any issues at all with small animals, and insects were at a minimum considering it was not climate controlled and we didn't use any additional pest control in the units. I also felt confident about the way the drives are slanted and the doorways a bit elevated that we didn't have to worry about water getting into the units. Our storage was in the older section, so I don't have experience with what's available in the expanded storage area. The staff and management were often quite friendly and were prompt to provide service. There is often an employee patrolling the grounds until close. That made me feel at ease when going by myself to storage after dark. I would have preferred that there be access to the property later than the close time, but I don't know what the industry standard is, and I'm sure they avoid a lot of headaches by setting a restricted access time.
