I spoke with Jimmy D. on the phone and was extremely impressed by his intentionality and how thorough and informative he was. He made sure I had a clear idea of what size unit I would need based on a few questions he asked. I scheduled a tour of the facility. When you perhaps need a lock cut or need anything of the storage unit nature, it's not as easy as walking into their office. But when you have the appointment, they are so helpful and nice. I suppose that's really not so bad considering the decent price in this small storage unit operation. The units are just fine and what makes this place special is the unique, local vibe to it. After Cubesmart took over, I suddenly started getting invoices for the month I'd already paid to Extra Space plus two months into the future at double the rate. Never once did I receive any information about the change in ownership or increased rent. Now of course the new company acts like there's nothing they can do. So Extra Space Storage and Cubesmart both get a one-star review.
