I gave this guy one star because I couldn't give him a negative star rating. I went to this establishment to mail a package. I arrived 10 minutes before they opened and I was waiting outside the business talking with a friend. The proprietor came to the door, I thought to open and conduct business, but instead was berated by an agitated guy who was very hostile. I was very taken aback by his hostility and asked him to settle down and I was again met with bluster and hostility. I turned to leave and the proprietor went back in and then came back to the door as I was walking away and started giving me the finger stating "fuck you". I then turned and began walking back to the door and the employee retreated back into the store locking the door while continuing to give me the finger and using his colorful commentary. Needless to say, I won't be doing business with this establishment. I do find it amusing that the employee was "going postal" at a business called going postal..... funny not funny. read more

What a shame that a hardworking local business should have to contend with the two whiners who posted the 1 star reviews here (In stark contrast, I might add, the ALL THE REMAINING REVIEWS which were 100% 5 star as is this). Fortunately, intelligent Yelp visitors know there is always the 1% that live to be dissatisfied with every encounter with the business public, and just ignore those reviews as being invalid. My own experience has been much as described by the LEGITIMATE reviewers (all 5 star). First and foremost, I'm forever grateful that there is a small business in my neighborhood that provides a drop off place for FedEx and the Post Office (among other services), especially since there is NO FedEx station capable of accepting larger packages anywhere in this area. And, even more amazing, somehow they eke out a profit performing this service at absolutely NO ADDITIONAL COST to the customer! Really, what can go wrong? You simply drop off your package, get a receipt if you desire, and leave? It is hard to imagine any experience that would be grounds for a 1 star review under such circumstances. So, for the person dropping off their FedEx package who was 1-star-disgruntled? Next time, drive the 20 miles round trip or so to the next nearest FedEx office, and bypass this place. That will eliminate the possibility of another 1 star for the local owner who is just trying to make a living providing a very useful and needed service to our community. I've used this shop a few times before with great service, not today , it was awful. My father in law is in his end days and the doctor suggested we complete a DNR for him. We went In to get it notarized and without even reading the form accused us of "asking him the break the law. No, the for said two with was OR a notary. Not both. When we said fine, we'd go somewhere else the Owner told us "don't let the door hit you on way out". Response to owner: you didn't even read the document. You had no idea what type of document it was. The instructions on the back CLEARLY said two witness OR a notary. Not both. You able to get the notary with ease at our bank because they took the time to read it before making a judgement. read more

If I could, I'd give this place less than one star! The customer "no-service " was shocking and totally unacceptable! I dropped off a package with prepaid Fedex shipping label. When I asked when it might be delivered, he told me, in a very condescending tone of voice, "it's prepaid and they just put it on a truck. But it might get to the destination tomorrow." I was shocked at his manner and before he lifted the pkg off the counter, I told him in a concerned voice, the the contents were fragile. His reply was even worse than the first! I was told the condition of the contents was not his concern. He said if I wanted a receipt for the pkg I should read the bottom of the receipt very carefully!!! His attitude was horrible and I will never give this business my money nor my recommendation. I don't know if he was an owner, manager, or clerk. I have been to this place several times, when I was pressed for time or couldn't drive to the P.O that day... always with apprehension because the owner (not so much the other dude) is so rude and unwelcoming... He always acts like we put him off and is just a frustrated grouch. He is obviously in this only to make a buck (try dropping off the odd pre-stamped package and see his face sour), his prices are very high (one time sending a package through his shop was gonna cost me double what I would have paid at the post office ... double!!! I waited until the next day when I had to go to DS anyway and went to the PO there ...) and I don't even understand how anyone could describe him as helpful or friendly... his buddies, maybe? Anyway, there are enough alternatives around now (UPS in Belterra is full of friendly, helpful, smiling ladies and of course, we have the mailbox at the gas station, online USPS, and dripping P.O. is not that far) that I don't have to put up with Grumpy anymore . I've recently started using Goin' Postal because of their convenient location and extended hours. So far, I've only had to mail pre-paid packages, so my interactions with the staff have been limited, but each experience has been pleasant. I recently mailed something I sold on Poshmark, but received notification from them that the tracking never registered. Today I called Goin' Postal, just to make sure that the package hadn't gotten lost in the store or something. The staff member who answered the phone, David, was more than kind. He explained a few postal technicalities, gave me advice on the next steps to take with Poshmark, and mentioned they can provide receipts moving forward, in case of any future tracking issues. All that said, David went above and beyond, and I'll definitely keep using them - whether I just need to drop something off or need assistance with other mailing services. read more
