My experience at PostNet has been mixed. This location has been understaffed on my last few visits. I have encounter long waits, even during what I would consider to be non-peak hours. Prices are ridiculous to mail a package. Go anywhere else and it is a fraction of the price for exact same service. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Not to mention the bad attitudes. I've had my packages delivered here for a year, about to renew. It's an ultra-convenient location and was as or more competitive vs other options I researched. I often arrive 5 or 10 minutes before closing and there's never an issue. The peace of mind of knowing my packages are secure there vs the chaos I've experienced at the hands of USPS/Fedex/UPS at home, makes it worth it bigtime. The staff have great attitudes and if they're off slightly on their cheerfulness one day, cut em a break, they help a large volume of people, including the challenging ones. There's mainly great folks in our area, but also an alarming number of aholes outta Lakeway, etc., so I respect the staff for what they do for all the customers 6 days a week. read more

Would've left 5 stars if it wasn't for the horrible experience I had today. Arrived at 5:30 (30 mins before they closed) and asked the guy working if they were still open and he starkly replied "barely." I went in anyways and asked if one my packages could be scanned today and he told me it wouldn't be until Monday(which was fine). I told him I wanted to step out for a second to make a call before I gave him the package and when I got back, he had locked the doors and turned off the lights. I still had 20 mins before they closed. RUDE. I come here ALL the time and usually receive good service but this guy was not pleasant. I thought I would save myself a trip to the post office so I stopped by PostNet. They wanted to charge me $4.27 for an 8X10 envelope weighing 7oz. When questioned they said it was too "thick" to go regular letter mail and had to go package rate. When I asked how much the post office would charge they said around $3.00. I said thanks, I think I'll check out the post office. So post office said "no it was not a package rate, it was an oversized envelope rate and the total charge would be ... wait for it.....$2.12. Yes, PostNet wanted to upcharge this 100%. A bit outrageous I feel. read more

I have been going here for years. The owner must be going through a major crisis to treat his customers the way he does. Its like we are doing him a favor by walking in the store. Its truly a shame, because his staff has always been friendly, professional and appreciative for the business I "used" to bring in! I have used this location on several occasions over the past 4 years. There are 2 younger employees that have been very nice. The last 2 times I have gone by there is an older man that has been there. The first encounter with him he seemed very, very grumpy and did not even welcome me or any other person in while I was there and I thought maybe he was just having a bad day. Then the second encounter was absolutely terrible! They are a ups drop off site for packages, so I was dropping off 2 packages. Again no welcome, then he glared at me the whole transaction with his arms crossed squatting on his stool while one of the nicer employees helped. They made it very clear to me that they do not make any money off of drop offs. Then when I went to leave he went over to my boxes and just said "sh**" and I apologized and asked if anything was wrong and one of the nice younger guys said it was fine. This experience was totally uncomfortable!!! I have never written a Yelp review and this has driven me to take time away from my babies to do so. Whatever you are going through older man either put a smile on and come to work or please do not bother leaving your home to be ugly. read more

Don't use this store. I shipped a package with them, and used USPS (and in fairness - USPS deserves a lot of blame for the issues I encountered), and when something went wrong I called the store to inquire about my options. I knew there was little I could do, but they had told me that the package would be there by TH, and by FR it still had not gotten there. I even had the person I was sending the package to go to the post office and see if they could get it there - nothing. Postnet had recommended USPS as it was the cheapest option when I was in the store. I told the gentleman that I was going to contest the charge on my CC because what was promised was not delivered - and I wanted to give him a heads-up (something I did not have to do). Guy simply told me next time to use UPS or Fedex, and then hung up on me. I called back to confirm he had hung up and not gotten disconnected, and he said "I just thought the conversation was over". Very classy. This store will never get my business again. Never contested the charge by the way - bought another item there for $15, and didn't want to contest the whole charge. read more

Postnet treats customers as an inconvenience. I visited this place twice in the last two weeks. Last week, I had a prepaid UPS package to drop off. Old guy glared at me when I walked in, and when I asked where to put the package he yelled "LEAVE IT ON THE COUNTER." Not a great impression. Today, I attempted to ship some boxes at Postnet. As I struggled to open the door while carrying 2 large boxes, the old guy and a younger guy watched but didn't lift a hand to help, no greeting, nothing that said they welcomed a paying customer. I asked about pricing from UPS vs FedEx. Younger guy was flat out rude, didn't measure boxes, didn't weigh boxes, and didn't answer my question about UPS vs FedEx price. I decided to spend my money elsewhere, and went to a FedEx location. The FedEx guy greeted me, helped me with the door, helped carry the boxes, weighed and measured the boxes, and gave me two price quotes for express vs ground shipping. read more
