I was forced to "rent" computer time, log in to an email account, and then, pay to print the label. I could have stepped next door to Summer Moon Coffee and purchased a coffee faster and easier than printing the required label. While the staff was helpful, they could only smile as we time-traveled back to 2012, the same year that Facebook went public with its IPO, and cloud services like Dropbox and iCloud began to emerge, and 3D printing went mainstream. In the world of high tech, 13 years is a quantum leap into the digital dark ages. United Parcel Service, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world's largest shipping couriers, was founded in 1907 and originally specialized in "telegraphs." What's a "telegraph?" Ahh, this must be what an antiquated, archaic system of technology such as a "telegraph" resembles, as I rented a computer, logged into my email and printed a label at the UPS Store located at 15511 State Hwy 71, Ste 110, Bee Cave, TX 78738. Thank goodness, they didn't expect me to pay with quarters!

I felt their curbside delivery was a bit slow compared to the order fulfillment acknowledgements. At the same time, it was tax-free back-to-school weekend there was a a steady if slow stream of foot traffic while I waited the 10 minutes or so for my order to be brought out. I got a steal of a deal on the masks, which made it well-worth the wait. I'm not sure what the in-store experience is like, but I am happy enough to try them again.

I should have known when I first arrived and the plane was chaotic. I was interrogated about my clothes, cotton only for laundering, and it took almost 20 minutes y.o drop off 4 shirts and three pants. But really, the flags should have gone up when i was asked to pay in advanced. No cleaner have ever asked for that, so i asked why. I was told that some customers refused to pay off they didn't like how their cleaning turned out. Well, now I understand why. When i picked up my clothes, all four shirts were jammed into the same bag and tied together with a twist tie... completely wrinkled. They looked worse that they did when i dropped them off. All had to be reironed when i got home. Same for the pants. I guess saving 1/4 of a penny on plastic bag helps Rick's outfit margins. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Low cost = low quality. I'm not likely to use Rick's again.
