Explained how to cancel and go with this ups store saving me a trip to another location. Boxed 1 return that needed boxing and I didn't have a box. They were great I highly recommend. This place is fabulous. Although I rarely spend anything there (I do all my packing and printing of labels in my office), dropping off FedEx, UPS or PO materials here is always a pleasure. Greg is the best of the best. Sometimes we pop in even when there's no mail just to say hi. He's been good and fair to us and we really appreciate his prices. More than that, this is truly a customer oriented business and every detail of the place screams "I care!" Greg is so personable and his employees are all fantastic. His customer service, kindness and patience is incredible!! We just stopped by today (and he has been closed for nearly an hour) and he still let my wife slip into the store and mail something out right before Christmas! Had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life in this store. The owner, Greg, snapped at the woman in front of me & spoke condescendingly down to her. Then refused to answer my very simple questions (ie: "do you gift wrap?") Then buried his head in his hands exasperated. When I very politely said "excuse me?" Regarding his attitude & demeanor, he tried to corner me in his store. I packed my things up & told him I was taking my business elsewhere. He tried to grab me as a walked out of the store & screamed at me. I'm not one to leave reviews, but DO NOT GO HERE! This dude is obviously unstable & was under the influence. read more

Greg was glowingly referred to me by my neighbors. I sent him a message through his website explaining what I wanted to ship, and he called me back very promptly. Then, even though he explained that his particular shipping company wouldn't be able to help me with this order (because it was originating in Pennsylvania, not Austin), he spent SO much time on the phone with me giving me tons of advice on which companies to call and what questions to ask to ensure the best service. He gave me a bunch of insider knowledge of which I was completely ignorant, as well as the extensions of several people he'd worked with and trusted in different shipping companies. I want to be clear: he did this even though I wasn't going to be using his company, because that's how much he cares about customers. I can't say it's a good idea to get yourself in a 20-box shipping pinch at 5:30 on a Friday, but it happened to me while I was traveling for a show. In a panic, I reached out to Greg by email, worried and completely assuming it was too late for him to help me. He called me back right away and cracked a joke to put my mind at ease. The next morning, after a few efficient phone calls with him, my pallet was picked up from my Los Angeles location and whisked off to its destination in Texas. Greg truly pulled a rabbit right out of a hat for me. I'd have been up a creek without this help, and he did it all with a friendly, helpful attitude from top to bottom even though he could have just clocked out instead of calling me back. Dropped off an Amazon return a few times and I'm always am given a hard time. I've heard things such as "you couldn't find a smaller box" and "do you not see the sign and cart over there?" He gets a lot of great reviews on here and perhaps he just doesn't like amazon returns? My wife has had the same experience with him. I was lucky enough to find Austin Express Mail and they managed the job with the highest quality of packing and shipping I could imagine. Honestly I walked into Austin Mail Express being told that Greg was incredible and provided exceptional customer service. I was shipping a package for a family friend who is a reoccurring customer at this store. Not only did Greg stop helping me midway through he also dismissed me and became increasingly upset creating an awkward situation for me, another customer, and a member on his staff. What Greg doesn't know is that I own a small business and had begun to ask the other employee questions regarding their shipping services. I will never use Austin Mail Express after my experience today. My online shop sends out on avg 400 packages a month and personally I wouldn't use him for a single one. read more

Have had multiple billing issues and the owner has been a real jerk. Set up an account with a credit card to be charged. He didn't charge the card and instead sent an invoice with a $10 late fee attached. When requesting more information it turns out he had a whole months worth of charges he hadn't invoiced for yet and guess what - the invoices had a bunch of inaccuracies. Highly satisfied with the service and personality of this business owner, Greg Weithoner (pronounced 'With Honor'). He's old enough to remember what 'customer service' actually means and still young enough to prove it. Case in point, in the short time I was in there to get a PO box, he welcomed and took care of 3 different customers without them having to even step foot inside his store. He was talking me through the PO box rental process up front and recognized his customers getting out of their respective cars, greeted them while holding the door open for them, and even caught a parcel tossed his way from an attractive young lady who barely got out of her car near the entrance. Went in to return a prepaid package using USPS and mail a package. Greg explained the shipping methods, times, and costs. He wasn't trying to up sell me and helped me by getting me the best value. I was really surprised that I was able to leave paying what I thought I would pay at the post office. Greg was awesome to me and my daughter while we were there. Offered excellent customer service, just like the sign on the door says. Without a doubt we will be going back for everything we will need. He has a great shipping system that lets you come in and he's able to print labels for you and provide you with all of the tracking info you can need. If I could give 6 stars, that wouldn't be enough. My experience today was fantastic. I walked in with a huge stack of packages to ship, both domestically and internationally, and he dropped everything and spent nearly an hour helping me get all the right postage. He was creative in shipping methods for each one, figuring out the cheapest way to send it, AND he gave me a bulk rate (lower than normal retail) that ended up saving me several hundred dollars, which was nearly 30% saved. While processing my long, complicated order (international shipping is insane), he also juggled half a dozen other customers that came in, and did it all with a smile and a wry sense of humor. I was caught off guard by just how great this experience was. I can't imagine myself ever shipping from any place else, ever. Seriously. Couldn't give enough praise! read more

As the sole proprietor of a consulting practice, who spends most of my time on a plane, having my mailbox here has been a time and money-saving convenience. I've never witnessed things packed better from anywhere than from Greg. I live out of state and had art and other fragile items from my parent's home in Texas sent to California. I just dropped the stuff off in random boxes and even loose items and everything made it out in perfect condition. My sister-in-law who recommended him to me also had stuff sent from him to Colorado.
