I accidentally left my original review here rather than for the Hancock Center store I visited, but…read moreI'm keeping a review here because the owner's pathetic response needs to be called out. Original review: ----------------------- Staff is always friendly. But they don't always know what they're doing. I asked the cost to mail a simple letter to Japan and they said $240! I said I didn't need to send it the fastest way, they said that doesn't change the price. I said that can't possibly be right, they insisted it was. Notably, they didn't give different prices for different tiers of service, just a single price and they said that was it. I went home and looked it up, and of course staff had quoted only the highest tier service (Express), which is about twice the price of a lower tier (Expedited). (Also, FYI, if you buy on the website it's as cheap as $90, and buying the UPS label through Parcel Monkey it's only $43.) ---------------- UPDATE: Reducing to 1 star based on the idiotic reply by the owner. He wrote as though I was complaining about the pricing, COMPLETELY MISSING THE POINT, meaning he either couldn't be troubled to actually read my review rather than skimming it, or was just too stupid to understand it. To spell it out to the owner: (1) The complaint was not that prices are high. (2) The complaint is that staff gave WRONG pricing. They priced for the MOST EXPENSIVE option, AND they said that was the ONLY option. (That's how I was able to buy a UPS label elsewhere for much cheaper.) There are reasons this location has a pathetic 2.9-star rating. If management wasn't clueless they'd focus on fixing the problems rather than making excuses.

Initially getting my mailbox was a bit of a hassle, especially during the holiday season. I had to get the requested forms notarized, and then there was some kind of issue with the legibility of the document, so I had to go through the notary process again and resubmit my forms. With that being said, I do appreciate that Parcel Plus (and the mobile app they contract with, iStorage) is doing things the right way. Makes me trust them to hold onto my mail/packages for me. I needed to get a package out but my baby had fallen asleep in the car and as other parents know, you do all you can to let them sleep! But i couldn't leave him in the car obviously so I had no way of going inside. I was parked right outside the store and called to explain the situation. Without hesitation, the young woman came right out to get my package. Seriously so kind and made my day--it really means a lot to this young mom to have people help with kindness and not disdain. And the sweet angel is still sleeping as I type this!
