This is a superb shopping experience for the OCD. The store is very well organized and tended by knowledgeable and helpful staff. Love it. read more

1/2 Price Boxes - Gettin some boxes - Shipping Centers Near Me - Austin, Texas

So the fellow explained it to me this way: We're like the Costco of moving boxes. Buying in bulk is the key to saving! And indeed, it's true! Another thing I really like buying when I'm moving is 10 pounds of packing paper. Can't be beat! read more

Love 1/2 Price Boxes! Whenever I need a specific kind of box, they have it! Friendly service too! It's my go-to place when I need boxes or other shipping supplies! read more

Always helpful and had what I need for packing and shipping my gifts. We highly recommend.

Good place to get boxes, wide variety of good quality boxes and packing supplies. Good value.

Very helpful customer associate. Quality of boxes is great we bought a moving package and I feel the value is spot on. So nice we don't have to worry about boxes for moving as it is such a stressful time read more

I've been here over a dozen times for random size boxes and they ALWAYS have what I'm looking for. Great customer service and friendly staff. I recommend before arriving here to have an estimated measurement of box you may be looking for, so they can better serve you. read more

The store manager Mattie helped us find the right package for our moving needs, then helped us load them into the car. He also gave us some valuable moving tips. I would shop here again! read more

This place rocks! They have a lot of choices and the prices are super great! The employee is always helpful and seems to know what he's talking about. He usually knows off the top of his head if he has something in stock or not, too! I initially thought that the quality of boxes here would be lower than the standard boxes sold anywhere else but this is not the case. Their boxes are really nice and they even have all sorts of cool stuff like box-colored tape.(meaning the brown color/texture) They have box cutters, permanent markers, bubblewrap, box tape etc. We do a lot of Ebay stuff and find this place to be a godsend whenever we don't have the proper box to ship our goods out in!! Love this place, always go back, and plan to go back whenever need be!! read more

The name of the business pretty much says it all. The boxes here are WAY cheaper than what you will find at common shipping/storage type businesses. I'm about to move and this place has made the packing process much easier than it has been for me during past moves. If you are going to move and need a lot of boxes, don't even bother driving all over town looking for free boxes. I've done that before and it's annoying. I got 10 extra large boxes and 10 large boxes for about $50 here and it was totally worth it. These are huge boxes that I have paid at least twice as much for at other places. They have all different types of boxes too. Just make sure you bring a vehicle big enough to fit what you plan to buy. I rolled up in my Ford Focus and there was no way I was going to fit a wardrobe box in there. The guy who worked there was really nice though and helped me get all the boxes into my car. read more

This store is great for do-it-yourself moves or, in my case, when you need to return an odd-sized item to Amazon and already threw out the odd-sized box. The big takeaway is that they have almost every box you might ever need and they sell them for cheaper than anyone else. (And unlike some other places, they have almost everything in stock in the store.) On a negative, it's largely self-service. During today's stop, we were delayed because their cash register software was having difficulties. The lady at the counter was justifiably preoccupied with getting that back up and running. But if you need boxes, this is one of the best options out there. read more

Fast, friendly service. Knowledgeable. Helped me get the best bang for my buck when it comes to boxes for my upcoming move. Competitively priced sturdy boxes. What more do you need? read more

Drove 20 min just to have their doors locked and no one at the front Desk even though their hours are 9-5:30. No one answered the phones either. read more

I want to give these guys my business so badly, but their hours are not ideal for those with 9-5s. Uhaul, on the other hand, is open until 7. Why close so early? read more

I had been going through so much angst trying to figure out where to get boxes for moving, researching online. The prices of boxes nearly the same size can vary widely, but that only increased my worries, trying to make a decision. At first I almost ordered boxes online. I'm so GLAD I did not! And then a friend was going to go pick them up for me. I'm so glad that mission was aborted! What I learned from going to 1/2 Price Boxes (for the first time) today was that they ROCK...!!! First of all, the size of the store is just big enough for lots and lots of different BOXES and the accoutrement one might need for moving and/or shipping -- tapes, bubble wrap, plastic bags for mattresses, box cutters, etc., etc. I don't know about you, but when I'm getting these kinds of supplies I really don't want to have to walk through a grocery aisle and a garden aisle, etc., etc., with all the distractions -- and I REALLY, REALLY appreciate a clerk who works there that knows the product. And at Boxes, Etc., he does. I can't tell you how much that means to me -- and in our society today customer service is all but lost at those big stores like Wal-Mart (who never deigned to even answer the phone when I called). The store is very well organized, neat and tidy and simple. No balloons, no PA telling me what is on special. Just the boxes, ma'am. YES...! The price was VERY reasonable. I am so grateful I stumbled upon this store during my research for boxes. I would never have known what I missed! Try it, you'll like it! :) read more

Had a great shopping experience. The gentleman that assisted me was very helpful and knew exactly the direction to guide me in for my needs. The gentleman was very friendly and provided superb customer service. 1/2 Price Boxes will have any size box you need. First thing I noticed when I walked in was that there was all sorts of boxes of different sizes and very well organized...and their prices are great! I myself, was not in for moving or shipping needs, but rather a nested box-type prank for a birthday gift. The gentleman was very amused and was quick to guide me to the precise boxes that I needed. I highly recommend 1/2 Price Boxes to anyone looking for boxes for any need. read more

A great resource for moving and shipping supplies! I was honestly surprised by the assortment of boxes and packing materials available at 1/2 Price Boxes- everything from little "ship a mug" boxes up to huge mirror and wardrobe boxes. I needed a few large boxes to ship some electronics (which are tough to find and EXPENSIVE at office and storage stores) and they had just the right size at about half the price (seriously) you'd pay at the nearby office stores and moving/storage facilities. Glad to have them in the neighborhood! read more

Easily the most simple process ever. I walked in and told them what I needed and they had everything, and then more! The display setup in the front makes it extremely easy to determine what you'll need, whether storing or moving. Definitely recommend! read more

I came here for my moving supplies. I was thrilled that they carry moving kits, the price was right AND they deliver!! Wrong. Even though they promote delivery all over their website and on the flyers in their store, they do not deliver. Only in Houston. Also the guy behind the counter... Easy there, Capt Enthusiasm! You're going to rupture something with all that energy! read more

I will never buy boxes elsewhere! The guy, want to say his name was Ryan, was so great. He was friendly and helpful. The boxes were reasonably priced. He even loaded them into my car! I left in a better mood than when I entered. Highly recommend this place. They have every type of box you will need. read more

What a cool store! Its moving time and this is the place to get boxes, bubble wrap, tape for the packing. The boxes were good quality. The best part is if one buys too many boxes, you can return them for full refund. (Unused with the original receipt.) read more

I have been to this store several times and the service is always great. The manager, Ron, is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The store has a great variety of boxes and very good prices, too. read more

When you are able to get them on the phone, which is not often, they are helpful. They always have the item in stock I am looking for, which is a plus as it is a large item that not all of the box stores regularly keep in stock. On numerous occasions I have called to check inventory on this large item, left a message and never received a return phone call. I live about 20 minutes away so communication is vital to retaining my business, as a wasted trip into town would be very upsetting. The lack of communication has led me to seek out other box stores on occasion. I enjoy the easy access from 183 when I do make it into Austin. read more

Yelp never lets me down. I went in there power shopping. Moving quick. Ronald help me and he was absolutely fantastic. I got all the boxes everything else I needed one stop shop. I highly highly recommend getting all your moving supplies here. They have everything. Ronald help guide me on a few things that was expert knowledge. If I was not moving out of Austin, I would try to steal Ronald as an employee for my company.!!! read more

I had an amazon return that needed a box and it was a big box, odd shape. I found a very resourceful and helpful person, Ronald at 1/2 price box. Ronald is a huge asset to this company. He is professional, kind and very helpful. I will continue to go back there for all my packing needs! And it's much better than taking something to UPS or FedEx and being charged ridiculous amounts for their packing. Save yourself time, hassle and money, go to 1/2 boxes and take care of all your packing needs before taking it to a shipping location. Thank you Ronald for all your help and I'm glad your are there to help!! read more

Awesomely low prices, friendly service, and great deals on packing sets for homes based on the number of rooms. I stopped by here to grab some shipping supplies for work recently, and all I can say is that I wish they'd been around back when I was moving! Six years ago I spent way too much on boxes, tape, and bubble and foam wrap from the cheapest place I could find, but these guys have that beat by more than 50%. Service here was great, too -- the guy who helped me was laid back, friendly, and super helpful. And they've got just about every kind of box and packing supply you could need -- small, giant, and specialty boxes that make all the difference when packing your life into the back of a truck. I'm definitely going to remember them when my next move comes up! read more

Ryan was very helpful & did everything to make sure my needs were met & questions answered. The store was very organized also.

Great prices and superb service. I will definitely be back for all my moving needs!

Great prices, all the items you will need to pack for any move. Boxes for hard to fit items, packing materials, tape, etc. Over the top customer service and Gerard provided expertise that had us thrilled to be packing, well, made the process much easier. Thank you. Highly recommend. read more

AMAZING deal for quality, new boxes. More people need to know about this place! Bought four boxes today - 2 medium and 2 large - for under $7.00!! You can't beat that with a stick! Anyone buying directly from a U-haul is nuts w/ this place around! Totally impressed! read more

Gerard gave me the best advice and service I have ever received in a moving/packing scenario. Highly recommend...!

I get my eBay supplies here except for packaging tape. I could probably get better prices on line but I rather get supplies locally. Great service. Least expensive box store in Austin and best quality in my opinion. read more

If you ship items often and usually have the need for a variety of box sizes, this is a great place to go. It's very affordable and easy to find what you are looking for. We use to spend a ton at places like the container store. Will definitely be shopping for boxes here in the future. read more

This is a great place to find inexpensive boxes! The customer service is fabulous and we appreciated his expertise in packing ideas

Gerrard was extremely pleasant and helpful, prices are reasonable. Highly recommend swinging by here to make your move way more smooth!

Great service and way better prices than uline. Not using uline anymore because of their ridiculous shipping costs.

Very, very poor service!! The gentleman with the tattoos and facial piercing was very rude and less than helpful. The young kid with the east coast accent was very condescending and just a downright jerk. Definitely took my business elsewhere and highly suggest everyone else do the same. Customer service is not a strong point at this business. read more

Great value and selection. Gerard provided the best in customer service and offered excellent suggestions on sizes needed. He has sizes for everything, including guitars and guns. Also, has all types of packing materials, bubble wrap, foam, and packing peanuts. read more
