WORST EXPERIENCE at any restaurant I have ever had. I reserved a spot for thanksgiving and they tried to put my party of 7 in a small booth. I asked for a larger one. The overweight male manager told my family no we could wait and that the next party was getting the bigger table. He was rude but Elizabeth the rude homely little girl at the front turned her head with the rudest attitude and snapped at me with sarcasm and smugness. Told me we can either sit of leave. She yelled at us and told us to either sit or leave. She was saving that spot for her friends and family. She was saying she was being so rude because we were "coming at her manager side ways." Her manger was trying to tell her to go to the back cus she was acting so rude. She refused to go to the back to cool down. His staff runs him, he isn't in charge of anyone there. And said she didn't care cus she's leaving this job anyway. I only stepped in because the manager and Elizabeth were both being so rude to my 70 year old mom. Elizabeth told us, "We're just wasting our time to not get to our Thanksgiving dinner." So happy thanksgiving, I guess. Good thing I had a back up. But I'll never eat here again. Hope her new job at the dump goes better :) I'm assuming that's the only place to hire such a trash attitude. UPDATE: Black Angus was much better. We visited on Tuesday night with a party of 4 and it was, once again, a good experience. We arrived and were instructed to choose between the Happy Hour side and the dining side. We selected the HH side, and after a few minutes a booth opened up and we were seated. The service all night was very good. The waitress was prompt and professional. It was Taco Tuesday, so there was a taco bar, you order from the waitress and she gives you a ticket to redeem for tacos at the bar. I had Salmon Tacos from the HH menu, we also had a burrito and taco salad, all were well prepared. The HH drink prices were nice. Overall: Good place to grab Mexican food. read more

However, the host seemed visibly annoyed by this simple request, which immediately set a negative tone for our experience. Rather than being accommodating, the staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Good customer service should be welcoming and flexible, especially for larger groups. When we first walked in, we seen a waitress sitting down eating her taco. Which happens to be the same woman that greeted us and walk us to our seat. But that's the only beginning. The waitress was so nice and so kind until I didn't like what I received because it was cold and honestly taste like leftovers from the night before. Because we ordered drinks we were there maybe 30 minutes after she took the plate. During that time she did not say anything else to us. All the great customer service skills she showed us had completely flipped. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a family lunch. It was not that crowded yet it was a 25 to 30 mins wait. The gentleman who was our server was nice and polite. Their chips and salsa was brought warm and the salsa was extra spicy [too spicy for me but my mom loved it]. For drinks, I normally only order Cadillac margaritas because house margaritas give me a headache. However, I ordered a pomegranate house margarita and surprisingly it didn't taste like syrup and it didn't give me a headache. After we ordered our drinks, they were brought within 5 mins. For food, I ordered steak fajitas and my mom and cousin ordered their fajitas combo. Unlike the drinks bringing brought within 5 mins, it took 55 mins to bring the food [and that is not a hyperbole]. To me, that was entirely too long to wait for food and it wasn't packed. Fortunately, the food was hot and so was the tortillas. The service could of been a tad bit better: the waiter did not refill our waters but nonetheless, service was decent. I would return for their fajitas and margaritas and hopefully it's a less wait time with water refills. read more

It's been many years since I've been coming here and have hosted USAF personnel visiting from Ohio while visiting Edwards AFB and Plant 42. The food is always very good and it arrives quickly which is important to personnel on time schedules. The best part is the friendly and extremely great service! In particular is Johany who I would nominate as the #1 server in the AV. The visits to El Torito have never disappointed and have made each luncheon a huge success. Rude service (you know why). Food is mediocre. Drinks are not bad. Went here a few weeks ago. Sat at the regular area. Got yelled at for asking if they had happy hour in regular seating area. Was told I needed to sit at the bar. So I moved to the bar area. Sat there for 20 minutes while every single rude and racist worker stared at me and walked right by me. A few managers in ties same thing. Like 4 or 5 workers. And I just sat there like a fucking idiot trying to order food. Finally a waitress came by. She was nice at first but that waned. I wasn't eating much either. Like 2 alcohol drinks, some chips and beans and chili rellenos. I was like the easiest customer. All I kept really asking for water and chips. That's all. But racism is racism so. It is what it isn't right guys. The manager called me a few days later apologizing and telling me I could come back for a free meal. Or something. Now he is not responding. UBER EATS DELIVERY REVIEW: I placed an order tonight, via the Uber Eats app, for this El Torito restaurant. The app didn't allow me to make an adjustment on one ingredient. So, I called the restaurant to make my request. The female who answered tonight was very professional and helpful. She quickly made the adjustment for my order. When the order arrived, which consisted of 2 entrees, it arrived fresh and delicious. My request was done correctly and they even gave me a small bag of chips and a small salsa, which was unexpected with my delivery order. So disappointed! We go to El Torito for Mother's Day Brunch every year, and we understand that it's a very busy day and by no means expect a 'normal" experience. We do what we can on our side, such as book a reservation in advance, show up on time, have our complete party present, etc. Today was a terrible experience. As we checked in for our 11am reservation we were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes. We patiently found a place to stand, grateful for the canopy since it was already over 90 degrees outside. As we waited, we saw several parties enter the restaurant though they appeared to arrive after us. (Maybe they had been waiting elsewhere?) After 45 min had passed, I approached to ask how many parties were ahead of us. Another family was asking also, and stated they had also been waiting since 11:00. The gentleman told them there were 5 groups ahead of them. He refused to answer their question of how that could be, since they were given the same number 20 minutes previously, he just kept repeating "there are 5 groups ahead of you." When it was my turn, I provided my name and he said "there are 5 groups ahead of you"! A manager came out and said they were doing their best to accommodate everyone and it was hard because they had alot of walk-ins! How are you going to take walk-ins before customers that were prepared enough to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance? We left and went somewhere else. It was 26 more minutes before we received a text saying our table was ready. We will make alternate plans next year. read more
