Again, crowded and busy but delicious and excellent hard working food server. Always amazed at how fast and attentive the food service is when the crowds are so big. But the food is absolutely delicious

I came here for the first time. First thing I have noticed was stain on the ceiling panel. I was thinking that maybe that happened recently? I looked at the menu, price is kind of outrageous for the location. If you are charging more for the menu items than Pasadena, Ca, that's not acceptable. I ordered a chorizo con huevos burrito. There's no taste to it and she gave me ketchup packets. I never put ketchup on my burrito. I prefer 3 containers of pico de gallo. The service was ok. But I will not come back here. It doesn't worth to come here for the price or the tasteless food. ¡No bueno!

The food is good. Big portions, big enough to share or take home. The waitresses are amazing. they work their butts off. don't forget to tip.

My partner and I ordered the chilaquiles and unfortunately they were my least favorite chilaquiles I've had in AV so far. We ordered them with over easy eggs and the eggs were well done. The red sauce was less of a red sauce (the way enchilada sauce usually is) and more of a chunky salsa, they also were definitely heavy on the salt to mask that there was not any real flavor to it. And the chips were just so soggy, at that point I don't know if the over easy eggs would have just hurt the dish even more. Also, it said it came with cheese, and in my head I'm thinking cojita cheese or queso fresco, but no. It was just melted cheddar cheese, also no crema, no cilantro. From what I'm told the other food is good, but if you're a chilaquiles person like myself, theirs are not worth it. The hash browns were really good though.

I just wanted something light, so I ordered grits and an English muffin. My friend ordered the light breakfast. We were both happy with our meals and service. I wasn't crazy about that. Shout out to our servers, Nikki and Jody, great service! 1/29/26

Definitely order the home fries over hash browns, they are well seasoned crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious don't skip! The garden burger was also so delicious the patty is made of like oats and mushrooms and one more ingredient that I can't remember right now but it was superb! Definitely one of the best veggie burgers I have had! Top 5 for sure. Now the reason they didn't get 5 stars. The side of fruit that I ordered and two other plates on the table came with, wasn't fresh. It looked a day or a few days old. Only the melon was decent enough to eat. Next is more of a suggestion. I understand it's a diner but I feel like all restaurants/diners/cafes should have alternative milks such as oat, soy or almond milk. Because I asked for a cold brew but I had to drink it black due to the lack of alternative milks. Which was fine but I can't be the only person that has that suggestion. Overall Katz n' jammers cafe was a cute diner with 50s nostalgia on the walls and fair prices for good food!

From the main road it may not be as inviting but once you are inside and see the quality of the food and experience the friendly staff, I can see why they have so many great reviews. The old style diner did not disappoint, they have a large menu, including an extensive breakfast menu. We ordered the Chorizo Delight, what a huge serving of eggs and chorizo with an ample serving of hash browns, you also have some flexibility of various options like home fries, biscuits and gravy or pancakes. The chorizo was good tasting, we also noticed that they offered a home made salsa, we asked for a taste, it was amazing. We also ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, the portion size was also huge, my brother loved the dish, it has a pile of gravy, sausage patty, hashbrowns and fruit bowl. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to check in. We would highly recommend this spot.

We chose the wrong day for our first visit. It was a Tuesday mid-morning (10:00am). There was no one at the register and no hostess ( we were told she didn't show). There was a couple waiting to be seated. They had entered the restaurant before we entered the parking lot. After waiting a few minutes I asked the woman how long she had been waiting. It had been ten minutes. The restaurant was not that full. It was several minutes later before someone seated the couple and a couple of minutes longer to seat us. They have a large menu with lots of options for breakfast. As we had entered the restaurant there was a large sign which advertised a Steak and egg breakfast for $12.99, Mon - Fri. The prices in comparison to Dennys were comparable. My husband ordered the 2 egg combo with Ham, potatoes, and toast for $15.39. The ham steak was thick and very large. The potatoes were abundant. He commented about the potatoes being under done and the second half of his ham was a bit fatty. I ordered the 2 egg combo with chicken fried steak with gravy, hash browns, and a biscuits for $15.99. The biscuit has real butter and honey accompanying it. The chicken fried steak was well done with the right amount of gravy. The hash browns were good. The biscuit was HUGE. It was tender but kept falling apart. Whether using my fingers or the fork it was hard to get the biscuit to the mouth. I will definitely return to try other menu items.
