Great busy little restaurant. Great variety mostly if you like crepes and pancakes. I tried the cornbread pancakes with chili and cheese. It didnt taste like cornbread and needed more chili but not bad. The hasbrowns and sausage was great. Hubby had the jalapeno plate w biscuits and gravy. Very good flavor in both. Chickens, chickens, & more chickens!!! If you want a Mexican home style breakfast this is the spot. AM cafe is covered in so much cute chicken decor starting at the entrance all the way till the restrooms. I got the chilaquiles with huevos con chorizo and my husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both items were very filling and delicious! The chorizo was cooked all the way through and it wasn't too aromatic. We also shared a short stack of banana nut pancakes that were sooo good! They weren't overly sweet and the nuts gave it a nice texture. I do wish they offered home made salsas, but they had a nice alternative with the fried jalapeño! Definitely a good spot to come and enjoy breakfast without paying crazy prices. read more

If your looking for a great spot for breakfast than don't like any further because they spot is legit! Came by on a Monday morning at 11:30am with some co workers and found some seating and got served immediately by our kind waitress. Service was great and spot on which was appreciated. Menu is extensive with a great variety of items. It was hard for me to choose since there was so many great options but I went with a Denver omlete and that thing was AMAZING. Huge portion of food and of great quality. I was very pleased with my omlete, a 10/10. All my co workers loved their meal so that's how you know it's a great spot. It's located in an old strip mall and doesn't look welcoming, however once inside, it is colorful and very welcoming! Like the saying -You can't tell a book from its cover, this is true to this cafe. We were greeted and seated at a booth located on the left side of the cafe. We ordered coffee and looked at the menu which has a variety of offerings. They work as a tag team, a very nice young man brought our coffee and stayed to talk for a while, he was followed by the waitress who took our order and finally another young lady who brought our food. The meal was reasonably priced and included 2 of each -German Crepes, eggs, hash-browns and bacon - choice of meat. The German Crepes had just the right amount of lemon and powder sugar, they were so yummy and made perfectly. The eggs were fluffy, buttery and cooked throughly , so good. The hash browns were freshly shredded and cooked to a light golden brown , it was like eating snow flakes just the right consistency- I would have liked them a little crispier but they were hard to resist. The bacon was good but again for me I love crispy bacon and they were cooked but not crisp! What I like about places like this is that you go not expecting anything, and what you get is one of the Best Breakfast I've ever had! Go to AM Cafe you will enjoy every bite! read more

Haven't been to this place in awhile. There is plenty of parking outside and inside there's open seating in the diner. The decorations in the diner are pretty cool. Farm animals like chickens, hens, and roosters adorn the walls. We found a comfy booth and right away our server arrived and gave us menus to order our meals and that we did. We decided to try AM Café based on the good reviews. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, and the staff was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our order was taken quickly, and the food came out in a timely manner, which I really appreciated. I also liked that they offered chicken sausage as an option, which was a nice surprise. The pancakes were fluffy and enjoyable. That said, the food overall was just okay for me. Nothing was bad, but the entrées didn't really stand out or feel memorable. With the cost of eating out these days, I personally look for food that feels like a 10/10 experience, and for me, this wasn't quite it. The restaurant was pretty full, so clearly it's popular and well-liked by others, but it just wasn't a place I'd be eager to return to. read more

The Am Cafe was the perfect casual breakfast spot. It was a locally owned spot in a very unassuming retail center. As you walk in you are greeting by a very friendly staff, the decor is interesting, at first I thought it looking like a classic Mexican restaurant, due to the colors on the walls and the decor. My breakfast was served quickly, I ordered a three egg breakfast with bacon and harsh-browns. Solid breakfast, I would say the beacon could have been a bit more tasty but the rest of the food was perfect. Within the menu you will find a large variety of basics like, burgers, sandwiches, senior menu, and omelets. The pricing was very reasonable. Looks like the local police stop by there was 4 cop cars outside and many police enjoying coffee, so I guess it's a safe space. read more

Seat yourself. Cute little diner farm vibes with a lot of rooster display. I ordered the farmhand special with cinnamon roll pancake, DELICIOUS! Perfect portions, the cinnamon roll pancake was a great dessert after the bacon/eggs/hashbrown. Hashbrowns were crispy & soft, eggs were cooked the way I asked. found this gem here in Lancaster and I am very impressed. It is a cute place that's decorated with lots of chickens. Makes it feel homey. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and the waitress attended us right away. She took our drink orders and brought them out promptly. She took our food orders and then we waited for the food. We stopped by A.M. Café after our original spot was closed, my son picked it, and it turned out to be such a nice surprise! The location isn't the flashiest, but once you walk in, it's warm, welcoming, and very clean (menus, floors, bathrooms, everything spotless!). The food was great, and the service was kind and patient even though we came in close to closing time. One of the sweetest surprises was my daughter's little hot cocoa, it came with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles and was just the cutest thing ever! This place had a lot of unexpected little touches that made it feel special. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area. A hidden gem! I realized I have never written a review for AM Cafe, but I frequent this place and absolutely love it! I bring my grandma every couple of weeks and I cannot express how amazing this team of staff is. They are so sweet and know us as regulars at this point and always stop to say hello even if they are not our server. I know Alé and Shelly by name and just adore them, as well as everyone else here! Plus, the food is delish! My grandma always gets a butterscotch caramel pancake and I switch up between a specialty pancake, french toast, and crepe. No matter what you get though, it's yummy! Plus, for being specialty items, the prices are pretty good and you get good portions of everything. It's a very cute place too, with lots of fun, silly decor. So we're back to try it again and so delighted to see fabulous waitress Paula!!! We have been planning to come here again and then when sitting over at another local coffee shop a new diner there saw me eating chorizo and eggs and told me that I should try the version here at AM Cafe. The Farmhouse breakfast special or whatever it's called allows you to get bacon or sausage and choice of potatoes with choice of egg preparation, and then you can have pancakes or whatever on the side. I forced Mr. Picky to eat his scrambled eggs with onion and cheese and that then liberated him to Pig Out on the cinnamon-roll pancakes. Those are really decadent and a yummy treat! I came in for the chorizo and that's what I ordered, asking that the chef also stir in some cheddar cheese when making it. I really like their chorizo and it was great when I added the house homemade salsa which was the perfect spicy heat level. I would definitely order that again! We did try the banana and pumpkin breads, and they were not our favorite (needed to be a bit sweeter for us). Despite Mr. Picky having essentially had dessert with those cinnamon roll pancakes, I wanted to try the carrot cake version with raisins and cream cheese icing and so we ordered that and dubbed it the official dessert for the meal. We removed the whipped topping because I forgot to ask they not put that on there. Our clear winner in the pancake challenge was the cinnamon roll version and you should definitely try that!!! Those are so yummy that they'll definitely make you feel guilty. The food here is reasonably priced! The other really good point is that it has a great vibe which is the location itself and then also the energy you feel when you walk in, augmented by really great staff who go out of their way to be friendly and do whatever they can to ensure you enjoy your meall. I tried to order a hamburger patty and one egg with a side of lettuce and ranch dressing à la cart, and the server created her own version of my order with 3 eggs, two sides and charged me an arm and a leg.
