Food 10/10! The service was excellent!!! Benjamin was such a wonderful waiter--super energetic, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. The low lighting was probably my favorite part of the atmosphere. Cozy, warm, and definitely gives those country vibes! Would absolutely come back! Tombstone burger was a GO! Tastes like homemade patties. The steak & shrimp was amazing & im picky with steak only like it smoked but they delivered! All that to say is WILL BE BACK:) read more

Last night we went to Iron Cactus for a date. The food was actually good, but unfortunately, the service was subpar at best. From the moment we sat down, it felt like everyone was in a rush to get us in and out. Our waitress came over almost immediately and, without even a hello or introduction, simply asked what we wanted to drink. We also ordered a BBQ chicken salad, and the waitress asked what kind of dressing we wanted on it. I thought that was a little odd because I've always known salads like that to come already tossed or prepared with the dressing. When I questioned it, she acted like I was the weird one for asking. Throughout the meal, the service continued to feel rushed and impersonal. Even the person who brought out our food basically just dropped it on the table and walked away. The food was good, but when you're going out for a nice dinner--especially on a date--you expect the service and overall experience to match. Unfortunately, that just wasn't the case for us last night. read more

I got the Tombstone burger cooked medium rare with the side house salad and ranch. 10/10. Small plate, big salad, ranch was great! The burger was absolutely delicious. Super juicy, full of flavor, cooked perfectly, melted cheese. Every bite was delicious. I'm that type of person who's picky with my water at restaurants and it was smooth tasting and clean. Didn't taste like it was sink water or anything. Our server Riley handled our big party pretty well and made sure we were all taken care of. Thanks Riley! I will definitely be back read more

Saw reviews and wanted to try a different restaurant. Great service but if you want a good meal go to Diamond Jims in Rosamond. Better food, larger portions and 1/2 the price!! I ordered top sirloin med-well 10 oz steak. Came out well done and was not 10 oz's. Wife grilled chicken sandwich was hard to cut with a steak knife. Up charged for steak fry's that were not completely cooked Won't be going back there again! read more

Great service and great food I came here for my anniversary with my husband and let me Tell you it did not disappoint. We have been seeing ads for this place for a while around town and we decided to finally come here for our anniversary. We were greeted kindly and seated right away. It is in the middle of no where but easy to find Our server Tiffany was so kind and so welcoming that she recommend a few items to us. The Al pastor fries was the best recommendation she had given me. I had the burger and husband had the steak. Both were cooked to perfection and had lots of flavor. Overall we had an amazing time and we will be back. Kuddos to Tiffany for a great time. read more

A nice variety of dishes. Food was good and the service, although busy, was good. Our waiter was working hard. A surprisingly nice gem in an area bereft of any good food choices. read more

On the advice of a friend we tried The Iron Cactus. WOW were we impressed! Large portions (which we had enough to take home for another meal) along with tasty food, excellent service and clean accommodations. We will definitely be back again soon and will be making The Iron Cactus a regular dining spot for our family. Thank you Iron Cactus...just what we needed. Glad we found you! read more

A modern cowboy bar with great food, good drinks, and great music. The owner was incredibly kind and our food came out quickly. I ordered the Outlaw burger. The burger was cooked well and juicy, the portions were large, and the brisket was tender. The sauce is very sweet, but it works well with the saltiness of the meat. Well worth the drive! read more

Great customer service and very polite. The portions were amazing. Really enjoyed my time there.

For a restaurant that constantly serves delicious lunch and dinner they really struggle to make a good breakfast. I ordered the country fried steak. The toast was not buttered. The eggs were undercooked and the meat tasted like it had been fried in old oil. A taste I think I will carry with me all day. I think I'll stick to lunch and dinner here. read more

It gets better every visit! DELICIOUS food. Friendly service and nice dining area. It's worth the drive to eat at this excellent restaurant. We never feel rushed, and everything has been delish! read more

Service was great, however my food was very disappointing. Don't see myself going back.

Had the New York with shrimp cooked medium rare with a buffalo trace old fashioned ... My girlfriend had the steak sandwich paired with a gin gimlet service was amazing. We were promptly greeted and shown to our seats. The decore was industrial cowboy but the foliage gave it a warm type of vibe. Definitely good eats, drinks and times!!! read more

Following up on a previous review. My wife and I cam here a few times since the management change a few years back. We had absolutely loved the food and went back to back to make sure it wasn't a fluke thing. We went in today at Noon to celebrate our anniversary with our kids. Ordered the same three things that we always have ordered from there and were grossly disappointed (El Lote dip, steak bites and burnt ends). What does stale chips, leftover garlic bread and cold steak get you? A $97 tab not including tip. You cannot expect people to come into this establishment and serve them LEFTOVERS and collect from their hard earned wages, also we had ordered before a larger party came in and they got their food way before us. We waited 35min for 2 cheese burgers and the other listed items above, the other party got served a steak as well but our meat was cold. Gotta say, extremely disappointing to try to charge people that kind of money for LEFTOVERS/ STALE AND SOGGY FOOD. read more

Food is delicious and great environment. Service is awesome. But hard to get a reservation by phone. But totally worth the wait.

Bad experience. We notified our server that my wife has a pineapple and honey allergy, but we learned the hard way that our waitress, Elizabeth, either didn't listen or failed to communicate the allergy to the kitchen staff. My wife's salad was served with small pieces of pineapple in it. As soon as she started showing signs of an allergic reaction, we had to leave immediately so she could take her medication and treat the reaction. If you or someone you're dining with has food allergies, I'd recommend sticking with Broken Bit or Black Angus. In our experience, they've taken allergy concerns much more seriously and provided better service when it comes to communicating dietary restrictions. read more

The steak came out bold and juicy, paired with sprouts that actually held their own and a baked potato so large it felt like it deserved its own seat at the table. The portions are generous, the flavors hit the mark, and the ambiance makes it easy to settle in--a spot that really works for just about everyone. Starters like the bubbling spinach dip and skillet corn nearly stole the show, proving this place knows how to set the stage. Service was fine--nothing flashy, but solid enough to let the food stay center stage where it belongs read more

her's Day Visit - Disappointed with the Prime Rib, but Not the Whole Experience Came in for Father's Day with limited time before heading to work. We were seated fairly quickly, but then completely ignored for about 20 minutes until we flagged someone down--not the best start. The Armadillo Egg appetizer was delicious and the Steak Salad continues to be a standout--fresh, flavorful, and always a solid choice. Unfortunately, the Father's Day Prime Rib Feast was a letdown. I was never asked how I wanted it cooked, and what I got resembled overcooked meatloaf--dark brown throughout and very tough. When I politely asked the waitress about the doneness, she simply told me, "That's just how some parts of the roast are." Instead of offering a better cut or a solution, she said she could ask for another, but I might be charged for it. On a day that should feel a little special, I left feeling rushed, underwhelmed, and honestly a bit frustrated. Iron Cactus usually does better--I've had great meals here--but this visit missed the mark. read more

The Iron Cactus is an exquisite restaurant located a short scenic drive from Lancaster. The ambiance is nice. The waitstaff is always fun and friendly. The food is high quality and always prepared well. Highlights for me are: the bruschetta (the absolute best I've ever had) and the chicken Alfredo baked potato ( I don't know where they get those enormous potatoes). We eat here regularly and will continue to do so...it is a gem! read more

I recently had lunch here April of 2026. I had the 24oz porterhouse steak with a side of veggies. The steak was cooked the way I asked (medium rare) but it wasn't anything special, a bit dry and the flavor was a miss. The veggies were obviously from frozen and were not very enjoyable. I spent roughly $55 for the entree plus $2 for the sautéed mushrooms which were also disappointing. All in all just not a great tasting meal. After tip and tax $70 was the total and I feel disappointed tricked. I would ask the chef to please put a little more love into your food. If you are going to sauté mushrooms, use some butter, not cooking oil. Get a little flame on your steaks to bring out the flavor and let it acclimate a little bit before you throw it on the grill so it stays juicy. Use fresh vegetables, not frozen or cooked and reheated the next day. The service was great BTW. Only I could tell she knew I wasn't enjoying my meal, which is probably why she didn't ask me how I liked it. On the other hand I had an excellent meal at Broken Bit steakhouse not far from here the day before. The chef should go there and learn something. Oh yeah and my meal was $10 less there. read more

Iron Cactus in Lancaster is a decent spot that blends steakhouse vibes with a laid-back, Western flair, making the most of their location. The atmosphere is inviting and good for casual dinners or special occasions. The menu is creative and hearty. I tried the Outlaw Burger, which is rich and flavorful. Portions are generous, and meals come complete with sides and generous salads. Service was friendly and just attentive enough without being over-bearing. The bar area seemed lively the night we were there. read more

The boyfriend and I went out on a lovely date here! Well kept restaurant, clean and friendly environment, more upscale with pricing but good food overall. Drinks were absolutely great as well! 4/5 because the mashed potatoes were watered down in flavor for me & I didn't enjoy them, the steak and Brussels sprouts however were great and would eat them again. Overall would look forward to coming back here, hopefully though the potatoes taste better read more

Celebrating our 10 year anniversary my wife and I decided to try a new steakhouse we've never dined in "The Iron Cactus" in Antelope Acres. While it's located in a rural area on the outskirts of Lancaster the location is pleasantly clean and new. The inside lighting sets the mood for a romantic dinner and the decor theme is tasteful with cozy cabin wrought iron & western motifs . The food is amazing and very nicely presented to your table. You can see great effort was taken to create the dishes to the guests. The staff is very friendly and attentive our host Elizabeth W helped us with any questions we had being our first time there. She is pleasant and has great personality . I can't think of any downside to our visit. I very much will dine here in the future, there's so much I want to try from the menu! read more

This place is way out there in Lancaster. It's been on my list to try for some time. We arrived about 4:30 and the place only had about two tables full since it was so early. Ordered artichoke dip with pitas. Had a good flavor. I knew I wanted to try the Ribeye. It came with soup or salad, fries or for an up charge onion rings. Brussel sprouts and white bread with a honey butter. The bread was nothing special so save the calories. The ribeye was medium rare like I ordered. The onion rings, don't bother not worth the up charge. The Brussel sprouts were disgusting just frozen kind. My friend's grandma wanted the ravioli and they were out. So she got a burger, she said it was good. Also ordered was a filet, and pork chop. One of the sides my friend got was fried artichoke and that was good. We couldn't wait to get the s'more dessert. They no longer have it. We were all bummed. So we ordered the peanut butter pie. It was nothing special, took one bite and was done. They were out of big to go boxes. Seemed like a lot was out. Waitress was nice and place looked clean. Would I return? No I don't think I would. To many steakhouses around that are better. 2/5/24 read more

Just tried this cute modern-rustic gem in the desert! We drove about 10 minutes off the 138/14 so far into the Antelope Valley that I started to worry that the GPS was wrong! Although it's in the middle of nowhere, it's so cute and stylish. The menu is progressive! Service: 5:5 - Excellent! We felt welcomed and our server and everyone that helped us was 5 ! Facility: 5/5 - Modern/rustic. Clean dishes and bathrooms! Food: 5/5: Southwestern Chicken Pasta (huge - shareable!) 5/5: Meatball Pasta (also huge / shareable!) 3/5: Burnt tips + grits - Burt tips were delicious and flavorful but a little fatty. The grits were a bit too cheesy and sweet for me but I still enjoyed the meat taste. 5/5: complimentary warm soft bread with sweet butter served 4/5: Elote appetizer We will definitely be coming back when we're in the area! read more
