    Banana Pecan pancake combo
    Jennifer D.

First time coming here and it was really good! My husband got the Karen's berry french toast combo and I got the banana pecan pancakes combo and they were both delicious. The service was nice, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food came out pretty fast, but we did go on a Tuesday morning. The restaurant itself was giving grandparents kitchen vibes, and we loved it. Will definitely come again.

Food was amazing! So delicious, went around 11 am and it was pretty packed but they worked fast on making sure everything was going good. Great breakfast!

Karen's omelette , chicken fried steak and kids pancake

Karen's omelette , chicken fried steak and kids pancake everything was flavorful and our waitress friendly and service was quick!

    Bill for family of 5!!

Gratuity added on 5 people! Overpriced!!! I recently visited this restaurant with my family of five. We ordered four entrées and just 2 coffees and 3 waters, and the bill came out to over $100--which felt extremely overpriced for what we received. The food was decent and the service was good, but not enough to justify that kind of total. What really surprised me was that a tip was automatically added to the bill. While I understand tipping is customary, automatically adding it in this type of casual dining restaurant felt unnecessary!!I usually tip for good service, but I prefer to decide the amount myself. Overall, the combination of high prices and the added tip made the experience feel like poor value. Sadly, it's enough for us to decide not to return.

I have only been here for breakfast so I can't comment on their other menu items. Breakfast has always been good. I would say kind of a typical breakfast place omelettes pancakes, waffles etc. this time I got the order to go, but we have eaten there in person and always had good service. I usually get the corned beef hash, which is canned I would say typical for most portion sizes are good and we've never had an issue.

Was told they don't serve Happy Hour at a seated table, but our waitress made an exception for us since we didn't know. It was hard to get service as our waitress was really busy. We ordered the Fresh Tableside Guacamole for $15, Street Corn for $4, Crispy Chicken Flautas for $8, Midori Melon Signature Margarita for $6, and Pomegranate Signature Margarita for $6. Was told the Horchata for around $5 was pretty good. We received complimentary chips and salsa and it was spicy, but good. The Fresh Tableside Guacamole was made fresh in front of us and was really good. They use the same chips for the salsa and guacamole. We were able to get multiple refills on the chips. The Street Corn was not good and was on the buttery side. The Crispy Chicken Flautas was really good with the sauces and came out hot and crispy. Both of the margaritas were weak, but we preferred the pomegranate over midori melon for flavor. They forgot our to go order and we had to go back to get it. Our waitress was nice but she was really busy and it was hard to get service. Would get the Fresh Tableside Guacamole and Crispy Chicken Flautas again.

Plenty of booths and some two tops that can accommodate parties more than 4 people. We walked in and were instantly greeted by Irma at the counter. As she pointed out available booths, she gave us the rundown on breakfast specials (that are also written on the grease board). Besides a hot cup o' Joe- I wanted some light bites. My typical breakfast plates would consist of Country Fried Steak/ Corned Beef Hash/ or Steak & Eggs. This time- when I heard Irma mention Beef Barley soup, I thought a cup would suffice. Along with that- sides of crispy bacon (I think 5 strips came in that order) & an English muffin. Which was toasted to perfection. Once I took my first spoonful of the Beef Barley soup- I knew I was gonna order an entire bowl. The strips of beef had some of the tasty gristle that truly makes the broth. Simple hearty soup. No shortage of barley and beef. I haven't had this soup in so long, it brought me back to childhood. I couldn't stop raving about it, (I'm a gal of simple pleasures) to other patrons. Hubby's breakfast combo came with a huge portion of hash browns. I told him to pack it up in a To Go container w/ the remaining bacon. And the hash browns were just as buttery & delicious when I re heated them in my skillet later the following day. Irma kept checking on us and would chit chat here and there. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. The Reuben looked and tasted amazing, also served with a large portion of fries, one of the nice touches on this sandwich was the grilled Pastrami, this was a nice touch, its also served with sauerkraut & Swiss cheese on Rye. The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed!
