Good food, but their menu is infrequent. You never know what they actually will be selling that day. I keep coming back just to be served disappointment. Too many times they will not be selling what you want, even staple items. They will not tell you what is out or available. You figure that out once your order. Another hidden gem in the Antelope Valley! A friend invited me to this lovely establishment for lunch! I've always wanted to eat here! I was not disappointed! I ordered the the walnut salad ! It was loaded with spinach and broccoli. The balsamic salad dressing that comes with the salad was delicious and I used some sourdough bread to dip in it. The decor is inspiring! I just have to take a moment to rave about Get Fresh Café--this place has completely changed the way I feel about eating out with dietary restrictions. I have celiac disease and EOE, which makes finding safe, delicious food extremely hard--but the amazing women who run this café go above and beyond every single time. Glad to be back again! I got the Butternut Squash Soup with half an Egg Salad Sandwich and my company got the Cranberry Walnut Salad combo with the half Turkey Cranberry Sandwich. Atmosphere so relaxing and pleasant like last time. We split a Lava Cake and Raw Brownie, and got Chocolate Cookies to-go along with an order of a few scoops of the Egg Salad filling (which you could also get over greens or full-on as a salad with olives, tomatoes, and vinigrette). I ordered pickup and the woman at the counter was welcoming. Food was tasty! I got the kale soup and Nashville Vegan chicken sandwich. Soup was flavorful and comforting with a nice blend of spices. The chicken sandwich was messy but very flavorful. Coleslaw was tangy, 'chicken' actually tastes like chicken, and the spicy sauce was a great compliment. I've known this hidden gem for quite some time, but never actually went in until today. I was met at the counter by the sweetest lady. She was very patient and allowed me time to decide what I wanted before ordering. After choosing the veggie wrap, butternut squash, and their new menu item vegan tamale I sat and waited listening to jazz and observing the quaint space. So calming and very clean! I ordered my food to go and when it was ready the cashier (whom may have been the owner) walked it out to me personally. She was so sweet and I love going places where I feel my money is valued. Enjoyable meal. I had the turkey kale soup while Mr. Picky enjoyed the squash soup. While I really enjoyed the extra cilantro lime dressing on the vegan taco salad, he had the 12" gluten free pepperoni pizza with extra mozzarella (yummy tomato sauce on it, slightly on the sweeter side, full flavored). Waitress Andrea was super helpful and charming. Dessert? One raw brownie and a warm lava cake, preferred the latter but liked the seeds and nuts in the brownie. I was so desperate for an organic meal that I'm giving it a "5" rating. If you knew what is in food, and what the government has agreed to for the near future, you'd be running here as well. This cafe is a real gem, a small and intimate haven right in the middle of Lancaster. My husband and I went there for lunch recently. The food is organic, both healthy and tasty. I am 99% vegan, so was especially pleased that there are, besides regular menu choices, several delicious vegan dishes on the menu. They even give you a free cookie if you are a first-time customer. It was a special treat when the friendly waitress, in response to my husband saying we liked classical music, turned on the classical station. I highly recommend this cafe. When I was given a recommendation to check out the vegan options at Get Fresh I pushed them to the top of my list and was curious to see what they had to offer. The Antelope Valley is definitely not known for healthy eating, and the ability to find plant-based options in this area of SoCal is sadly quite difficult, even in 2021. I was pleased to see that the Get Fresh Cafe had a vegan section to their menu and featured clearly labeled vegan specials on rotation. For typical cafe food (sandwiches, soups, salads) there were plenty of choices and most things are freshly made to order in front of you, which I appreciate. The day I stopped in was shortly after they opened for the day so I was able to chat with the friendly cafe employee while she made me a delicious burger. I love supporting local businesses like this one that focus on quality and customer service, all while promoting healthier eating. This is a great option to take people with different dietary preferences as they can accommodate just about everyone. I do hope the next time I visit they have better vegan cheese (they use Daiya) as I would like to check out the pizza that others have mentioned. BF and I stopped by for smoothies for the road. Was greeted by friendly staff. Opted for the Strawberry Banana. Bridget prepared our drinks and it came out rather fast. Both she and the other staff, Andrea, were very sweet and engaged in discussions with us. Didn't get a chance to order food but by the looks of what they were serving to the other customers and photos on Yelp, I'm sure they're just as amazing as the drinks. I wanted to try somewhere new out in Lancaster to go with my aunt. From what I saw via yelp this place looked really good. When we got there I couldn't decided on what I wanted but I ended up going with the veggie sandwich with a side of carrots. My aunt got the turkey sandwich on wheat bread, with a side of vegan macaroni salad. She really liked it, which I was surprised since this isn't her typical go to spot. However with my sandwich, it was good I liked the flavors in it, but the bread kept falling apart. It literally fell right onto my lap, since the spread was so thick on it, it made it soggy. Also the side of carrots I ordered were brown on the edges, which made me not want to eat them. I had high hopes for this place but after the disaster I had with my food, not sure if I would want to give this place another chance. read more
