This is not a bad place to have nice food. I brought my mom so she could try something new. But after the meal it self. We would been fine eating at the Black Bear and just sharing a meal. Maybe it's great for others hoping she find a meal she's need wanting to try.

Amazing service and food Clarissa best waitress we ever had Immaculate tasting of food

This time around, we have Clarissa as our waitress and she did a fantastic job very very, very quick service and super nice Deserves employee of the month Immaculate tasting of food

Visited here for the first time. It is a bright, cheery place to visit. The service was immediate and very friendly. It was 10:30 in the morning and over half the tables were occupied. This did not, in any way, cause a delay in service. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. My husband enjoyed his burrito and it was so big he ended up taking half of it home. My steak sandwich was large and tasty and the onion rings were the best I've had in the Antelope Valley. Super friendly...Super good.

    Yummy breakfast menu and specials.

Great food! Great prices! Great service! This spot is worth having breakfast or lunch. I tried the Ranchero Omelette with ranchera sauce on the side. The sauce has a strong Tabasco flavor. I liked it, but not to have my omelette soaked in it. The Pan San is perfect if you want pancakes & eggs. Don't forget to have a muffin instead of the toast!

    Chilaquiles combo

The chilaquiles had a lot of flavor and it paired well with the scrambled eggs and beans. The waffle was a bit crumbly and they didn't give enough syrup. It was kind of hard to get the waitress attention since it was pretty busy, our waters were empty for half the time we were here. This place is pretty lively and they have good country music playing. Overall the food was enjoyable.

Visited Chelly's Cafe for the first time. We wanted a nicer ambiance for a "girl talk" morning. Came for breakfast for some sister time. We sat down and waited to order. The menu is pretty large but we already knew what we were in the mood for. Took a few minutes..to a while for them to come and check on us. After placing our order we were ready for a good breakfast. The omelette my sister ordered was good but my eggs were a little weird and didn't smell fresh. I think the muffin was a better way to go. The restaurant wasn't crowded so thought the service would be very accommodating but was a little underwhelming. There's a lot to love with it being in a prime location. Diner food is usually an easy feat when it's your specialty. There's a lot of room for improvement and so much potential. I was hoping this place would be a new favorite but maybe I'll have to give it another try in the future.

    Large coke

I was disappointed in the prices, I know everything is going up but 4.50 for a large soda that isn't even a real large. Maybe I'm being a fat ass but a breakfast burrito at coke for 22.91 is crazy just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case you order to go lol

Was told they don't serve Happy Hour at a seated table, but our waitress made an exception for us since we didn't know. It was hard to get service as our waitress was really busy. We ordered the Fresh Tableside Guacamole for $15, Street Corn for $4, Crispy Chicken Flautas for $8, Midori Melon Signature Margarita for $6, and Pomegranate Signature Margarita for $6. Was told the Horchata for around $5 was pretty good. We received complimentary chips and salsa and it was spicy, but good. The Fresh Tableside Guacamole was made fresh in front of us and was really good. They use the same chips for the salsa and guacamole. We were able to get multiple refills on the chips. The Street Corn was not good and was on the buttery side. The Crispy Chicken Flautas was really good with the sauces and came out hot and crispy. Both of the margaritas were weak, but we preferred the pomegranate over midori melon for flavor. They forgot our to go order and we had to go back to get it. Our waitress was nice but she was really busy and it was hard to get service. Would get the Fresh Tableside Guacamole and Crispy Chicken Flautas again.

Plenty of booths and some two tops that can accommodate parties more than 4 people. We walked in and were instantly greeted by Irma at the counter. As she pointed out available booths, she gave us the rundown on breakfast specials (that are also written on the grease board). Besides a hot cup o' Joe- I wanted some light bites. My typical breakfast plates would consist of Country Fried Steak/ Corned Beef Hash/ or Steak & Eggs. This time- when I heard Irma mention Beef Barley soup, I thought a cup would suffice. Along with that- sides of crispy bacon (I think 5 strips came in that order) & an English muffin. Which was toasted to perfection. Once I took my first spoonful of the Beef Barley soup- I knew I was gonna order an entire bowl. The strips of beef had some of the tasty gristle that truly makes the broth. Simple hearty soup. No shortage of barley and beef. I haven't had this soup in so long, it brought me back to childhood. I couldn't stop raving about it, (I'm a gal of simple pleasures) to other patrons. Hubby's breakfast combo came with a huge portion of hash browns. I told him to pack it up in a To Go container w/ the remaining bacon. And the hash browns were just as buttery & delicious when I re heated them in my skillet later the following day. Irma kept checking on us and would chit chat here and there. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. I ordered the Mar Y Tierra which is Rabo Encendido and shrimp served with rice, black beans, and plantains. The Rabo Encendido was actually quite spicy with a pronounced chile kick. (I am used to the dish being more on the savory side rather than spicy.) This was definitely a "tail on fire" experience. The oxtails were tender and plentiful in regard to portion size. There was a good mix of oxtail sizes. As the portion size was generous, there was plenty enough for three meals. Shrimp had a crisp, snappy texture which came with careful preparation in an alkaline solution. This was a good shrimp enhancement. There was an ample portion of shrimp in the dish as well. The black beans had a good flavor but the accompanying steamed white rice could have used a bit of seasoning to overcome the inherent blandness. Plantains were ripe and cooked tender with a caramelization on the edges. Mar Y Tierra was pricey at $49 but the generous portion size of the meal made it a good value. The restaurant itself was comfortable and understated in its decor. The outside patio is larger than the interior dining area. It was nice to dine outdoors in the patio. Service was good with friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot.
